Are you a bad person? It depends on who you ask.
IT has been a couple of days since Derek had managed to turn himself back to normal.
The two hundred and seventeen million dollars from Peter's personal vault was still gone — no traces being left behind as to where to look for it first.
But, at the moment, the money proved to not have any correlation to the teenagers' lives, so, instead of fretting over Peter's money, they were worrying about the up-coming lacrosse tryouts.
"Of course you're still the team captain. You got your grades up just like Coach told you to, right?" Stiles asked as the trio made their way toward the lacrosse field.
"Yeah, but he never told me I was back on the team," Scott replied. "He just told me to show up at tryouts today."
Alex patted her brother on the back; Melissa, even though the blonde told her not to waste her time, had went to court and got adoption papers for her. She is now formally a McCall.
For her, it was weird to have another last name, a last name that won't haunt her forever.
"It's okay, Scott," Alex reassured the puppy-eyed boy, "We got bigger things to deal with anyway."
Stiles flung his arm arm and ended up slapping Alex in the breast. She turned around and glared at him. He gulped and took a step back before turning to Scott with curious eyes, "Did you tell Argent yet?"
"Ah, I texted him but he didn't get back to me." Scott said, thinking back to how awkward of a message it had been — telling the father of your dead ex-girlfriend that his supposed deceased-psychotic sister was in fact alive... and a Were-Jaguar. But, even now, no one ever expected that Chris would even come back to Beacon Hills — especially after Allison.
Stiles gave Scott an incredulous look while Alex laughed. "You told him his sister Kate came back from the dead over a text?"
"I didn't have the money to call France," Scott said, grimacing at how pathetic that sounded.
Stiles sighed, nodding sympathetic. He knew that money had been tight lately with Scott and Melissa, but he also knew the struggles of tight money in his own house. "Yeah, you think you got money problems? Try paying for an MRI and a visit to Eichen House."
"I can help with that." Alex raised her hand, turning to Stiles. "I can totally compel the hospital and Eichen House."
Stiles shook his hand, sending her a grateful smile. "It's fine. Dad and I will try and figure something out." She nodded but frowned at his words.
"Another notice?" Scott questioned, tilting his head in concern.
"Yeah, this one said: FINAL," Stiles stated, looking down at the ground sheepishly. "Now, what the hell are we even doing here anyway? We've got, like, two hundred and seventeen million problems and worrying about our status on the lacrosse team is not one of them."
Alex peered over Stiles shoulder, getting a perfect view of the lacrosse field. On the field were a small group of players that she didn't recognize — more than likely freshman. Two of them were throwing the balls at the net in an attempt to make a goal, but the third one in the net stopped every single one. He didn't let a single ball get passed him.
Her eyes widened, she had never seen such a young player have that much skill. He was at least as good as Scott, if not slightly better. Her mouth gaped open, Stiles finally taking notice of the expression on her face.
"It is now," she announced.
A frown line appeared between Stiles' eyebrows as he craned his neck to catch sight of what was happening on the field behind him. His eyes widened as well, watching in complete shock mixed with definite horror. He turned to gape back at his friends for a moment before turning his attention back toward the field.
"Who the hell is that?"
The mysterious freshman in the net finally tore off his helmet, shaking out his blonde quiff as a proud and smug grin etched itself on his face. He obviously knew just how good he was — and he wasn't afraid to show his arrogance. Alex could practically smell it as his two friends quickly rushed over to him.
"Nice, Liam." The blonde one complimented, patting Liam on the back. "You might just be our first ever freshman captain."
Stiles looked over at Alex to see that her eyes were still on this so-called Liam. His eyes twitched with what could decipher as jealousy.
"Okay, maybe we should just practice a little bit," Stiles confirmed, nodding his assertively before marching onto the field. Scott had been quick to follow, the grip on his lacrosse stick tightening.
STILES, Scott and Alex cornered Liam in the locker room.
Stiles was the one to speak up first, "Hey, Liam. You want to explain what that was out there?"
Liam looked completely and utterly confused as he asked, "What do you mean?"
Stiles squinted his eyes at the slightly younger boy. "That little display. Your little circus act."
Liam kept switching his eyes between the three of them. "What circus act?"
Alex smirked, patting Stiles' chest at the obvious jealousy. "You caught every shot."
Liam nodded, his blue eyes piercing into her's. "I was in goal."
Stiles stepped in front of Alex, trying to be protective. "Yeah, but nothing, not a single shot got past you."
Liam nodded again, still confused, "Yeah, I was the goalie. You guys played this game before?"
Scott smiled, stepping forward. "You're a freshman, right?"
"Yeah."
"But you weren't here last semester."
Liam stood his ground. "I transferred from Devenford Prep."
"You transferred?" Scott repeated, tilting his head as he looks at the younger boy.
"Yeah."
Alex listened in on his heartbeat and knew that he was lying, and she shook her head, smiling down at the young boy who slightly reminded her of Rebekah when they were human. "No, you got kicked out, didn't you?"
Liam became overly flustered and angry. "All right. Look! Kicked out or transferred, what do you guys care?" He was beginning to breathe heavily. "I came here to play lacrosse. The team could use a few good players, right?"
Stiles furiously shook his head. "No. No, we don't need any more good players."
Alex smirked at Liam before turning to Stiles, "Actually, you guys could sort of use a couple good players. And, well, from what I can see, Liam is an amazing player."
"Th-thanks," Liam stuttered, his cheeks heating up at the pretty girls compliment, and she mentally awed at his adorable reaction.
Stiles' glare hardened. "Okay, how'd you get this good? Have you always been this good? Or did it suddenly happen just once over night. Have you ever been out in the middle of the woods during the night of a full—"
Scott and Alex both warned, "Stiles."
"Hmm," Liam hummed as he looked between the trio. "Look, I learned from my stepfather, all right? He made team captain when he was a sophomore. Like you. And yeah... I guess I'm just that good." He then stormed pass them.
Scott turned to them. "He wasn't lying that time."
"I like him," Alex commented, watching the young boy walk away. "He's got fire."
ALEX sat on the bleachers with Malia and Kira. Malia had her head in the blondes lap and she ran her fingers through the brunette's hair making her purr and growl every once in while due to how good it felt.
Alex smiled down at her. She still doesn't know that she is Kol's twin sister and it breaks the originals heart just looking at her because she was too much like Kol.
When they were all younger, she was bubbly and so full of life that Alex looked up to her even though Malia had been only a little over a year older than her. She was everything the little blonde ever wanted to be, sadly she was never good enough for that.
Malia was the lucky one out of the family along with Henrik, they were the only two Mikael did not abuse.
And even though Alex was glad to have her by her side, one question filled her mind. Well, actually two. 1) how the hell is she alive? And 2) what happened to her?
Alex sighed, closing her eyes to keep from the unwanted tears to fall.
"A." She opened her blue eyes and looked down at Malia who was staring up at her, concerned. "What's wrong? I can smell anxiety and sadness."
"Yeah..." Alex trailed off, frowning. "It's just that..." She sighed, biting her lip. "I'm thinking about the past."
"Well, what is it that happened in the past that made you feel all those emotions?" Malia furrowed her eyebrows, frowning.
"Well, let's see..." Alex trailed off, "my little brother was murdered by werewolves, my dad abused me, my mother did nothing about it, both parents aided in turning me and my siblings into vampires, mother put a curse over me and my older brother to lock away our werewolf side." She chuckled humorlessly. "I could probably go on forever, love."
"You're parents sound like dicks," Malia stated which made the blonde laugh before tears started to fall from her eyes. "A." Malia sat up in a flash and pulled her in for a hug.
"I'm okay." Alex sniffed, pulling back from her to wipe away the tears. "Fuck." She chuckled at herself; she never show weakness in front of people, even her family. She didn't like it, it makes her feel weak. "I'm okay," she stated just as a sickening crunch was heard from the Lacrosse field.
SO, here she was, standing outside Liam's room in the hospital. Apparently Stiles and Scott was so worried about their status on the Lacrosse team that they ended up hurting Liam, most likely breaking his ankle.
Alex sighed, leaning her cheek on her hand, closing her eyes, exhausted. Ever since She came to the realization that Malia was definitely her sister and that it was not one of Klaus' tricks, she's been staying up all night long for the past week to figure out what had happened to her.
She woke up, hearing a loud scream.
She jumped up and turned around to see a boy around seventeen trying to eat Liam. He had razor sharp teeth and blood smearing his mouth. She sped forward and yanked him off of Liam, throwing him against the wall. She then sped up behind him as he stood up, and snapped his neck.
She looked up and started panicking as she saw that Liam was nowhere to be seen. She tilted her head, listening in on everything that was going on in the building.
There was a commotion coming from the roof, so She sped up.
What She saw freaked her out. It was a guy with no mouth and an axe. He threw it and the blonde sped forward, and grabbed the axe before it could impale Liam. She looked to where the no mouth guy went but he was no where to be found.
"Ah!"
She turned around just in time to see Liam falling from the roof. Quickly, She leaned forward, but instead of grabbing him with her hands like a normal being would do, She grabbed him with her mouth.
Her eyes widened as realization hit her.
She was gonna have a beta.
