Whitestorm ran through the woods as he leaped onto a giant gray rock on a cliff as he howled loudly as an alarm for the other wolves. "What is it Whitestorm?" a grey wolf barked. "There is danger in the forest, Silver, we got to find somewhere safe" Whitestorm answered. All the wolves ran towards Karia whining in fear. "Man's pack has returned to hunt our kind, we need to find somewhere to hide from those that are harmful to us. Everyone should just stay calm as the code of the wolf tells us not to show any signs of weakness or fear. We need to get all the pups to safety first" Karia barked.

The pack nodded in understanding as they grabbed their young by the scruff of the necks softly to avoid killing them, as soon as all the wolf pups were out of harms way. Karia's ears perked up as she heard the sounds of arrows being shot close by. "Come on everyone let's hurry" Karia barked to her pack. The pack ran up a small slope as Rufus spotted a large cave a few feet away as they headed that way. Karia remembered the cave as she began to remember a few years ago when she was just a pup.
Karia's past:

A young pup version of Karia was running in the deep snow when she heard barking from hunting dogs behind her. A white she-wolf like her spotted a cave ahead. "We should head to that cave to hide from the hunters" the white she-wolf responded. "You're right, Snow" Rufus the leader of EclipseClan at that time barked as they ran to the cave, but Snow stopped infront of the cave entrance as soon as the other wolves were inside. "What are you doing sis, come into the cave with us we'll be safe together in here" Karia responded. "No, the snow is showing our tracks the hunters will see where we've been, I have to keep them away from here and lead them to a new area to save everyone" Snow chimed in. "But sister you'll risk your own life?!" the young Karia barked back.

"It's better to lose one life than many during this disaster. It's the wisest choice and I'm sure if Athena was here, she would make the same choice as I would" Snow barked back. Karia ran towards her older sister and rested her head on her back as she was hugging her older sibling. Snow picked her up by the scruff of the neck and put her gently down back in the cave. "Don't worry sister, I'll return" Snow replied. "Cross your paws?" Karia asked her. "I promise" Snow responded as the barking from the dogs grew louder.

Snow ran up a small slope away from the cave as she looked at the direction to where the barking dogs were coming from. As soon as she spotted the first dog she ran down the slope in the opposite direction, while the dogs followed.  She looked at the sky while she saw the stars shine in the blackness as the first arrow of a hunter's bow was shot and hit directly at her white pelt. Snow has encountered a hunter. She began to pant with exhaustion as blood spilled out from her pelt as she tried to lick her wound to soothe the pain. She remembered her promise to her sister, but she knew she would never see her again as it brought deep sorrow to her heart as she knew her life would end at that moment. She ran down a hill and ran through a valley and up another hill as another arrow was shot from a hunter and hit her right hind leg as it began to bleed as well.

She began to limp but she continued running as she looked at the snowy mountain peak where her pack was hiding behind as she continued running until she plumped down a ravine into a small stream as the hunters kept chasing her. She couldn't rise from the water as another arrow was shot at her forehead drawing more blood as the arrow fell into the stream. She managed to get back up and continue running. She stopped running and slowly limped on but plopped to the ground in exhaustion and turned her head to gaze on the hunters behind her as they shot one last arrow at her as she watched it approach her as she whined with pain and sorrow as the last arrow shot directly at her heart and she laid on the ground breathing heavily as she knew they were her last breath of survival.

Back at the cave where her pack was waiting for her heard no dogs or hunters anymore as they knew that the intruders were gone, but as soon as they waited a couple minutes they realized that Snow was gone too, as they howled desperately to call her but there was no answer to their call as they knew their packmate was dead.

Karia froze in her place as she remembered the death of her wise sister as she knew she was now with their first leader, Athena and the moon goddess. "Come on Karia, let's go" Blueaura responded. "R-right" Karia stuttered as she walked with the rest of her pack to the cave.

Barks from hunting dogs and the sounds of feet from hunters got closer and closer to the cave. Karia walked deeper and deeper into the cave to hide in the darkness from the dogs and hunters. As soon as they passed she took a sigh of relief until she heard a dog turn back and sniffed the ground in front of the entrance to the cave. The wolves stood there silently until the dog passed,but it never did. It just stared into the cave and growled. It was about to bark for the hunters attention to come back, but Karia leaped out of the cave and took the dog down to the ground.

"Karia!" The wolves yelled. Karia bit the dog's neck to keep it from yipping for help. She then, began to claw the dog repeatedly until it laid in the front of the cave motionless and dead. She stood there in front of the dead dog silently to see if the hunters and other dogs were gone. She heard nothing and turned around to see the other wolves staring at her with surprised expressions on their faces.

"Come on out, the coast is clear" Karia responded to her packmates. The other wolves looked around the outside of the cave wearily. When they figured out that it was safe to come out they walked slowly outside.

"Hm, I hope the other packs don't have trouble with the hunters" Karia thought to herself looking in the direction the hunters went.
