Part Three

I wanna be the girl who makes your bad days better. The one that makes you say, "My life has changed since I met her." ~Anonymous

It wasn't going to be easy to figure out who the first wisher was.

So Nadia and the boys quickly began their search that took the rest of the day.

By the time midnight came around, Nadia and Sam were still up while Dean was laying in his bed, asleep.

In the midst of the quiet, Dean started murmuring in his sleep.

Sam and Nadia looked over at him, noticing that he was twitching as well.

After exchanging a glance with Sam, Nadia stood from the table and crawled on his bed.

"Dean." She shook his shoulder lightly. "Dean, wake up!"

Dean jerked up, grasping her arm tightly.

"Dean?"

Even after their argument, she was still sitting here worried about his well being.

Dean slowly let go of her arm, rubbing his eyes as he turned away from her.

"What?" He tried to play it off. "I'm up. What?"

Nadia let out a sigh, hating that all she wanted to do was hold him and tell him everything was going to be okay.

She got off the bed and went back over to the table.

"Sleep well?" Sam asked.

"Yeah." Dean drinks from his whiskey bottle. "Tan, rested, and ready."

"Dean, come on, man. You think we can't see it?"

"See what?" Dean turned to look at the two.

"The nightmares, the drinking." Sam answered. "We're with you 24/7. We know something's going on."

Already mentally exhausted, Dean tossed his whiskey on the bed, turning away. "Sam, please."

Sam ignored him and kept drilling. "Uriel wasn't lying, but you are. You remember Hell, don't you?"

Dean grunted as he pushed himself off the bed, walking to the end of it.

"What do you want from me, huh?" He leaned on the railing at the end of the bed. "What?"

"The truth, Dean. I mean, I'm your brother. I, I just wish you'd talk to me."

"Careful what you wish for." The older Winchester joked.

"Cute." Sam rolled his eyes.

Dean grabbed a newspaper that was on his bed.
"Come on, can we stow the couples therapy, huh? We're on a job. I want to work. What do you got?"

Sam looked away, saying nothing.

"Please?" Dean begged.

While Sam sighed, Nadia was glad to get back to the case.

She was tired of Dean's stubbornness.

"We got teddy bear, uh, lottery guy, invisible pervert guy." She went on. "They all must have wished sometime in the last two weeks. But who wished first, and how are we supposed to know who else wished for what when?"

"Well, it helps when they announce it in the paper." Dean walked over to the table, tossing the newspaper down.

"Goes back a month." He points to a small picture of the couple they saw earlier.

"Wesley Mondale and Ms. Hope Lynn Casey have announced their surprise engagement." Nadia read.

"Ah, true love." Dean smirked.

Sam chuckled, "Best lead we got."

Nadia knocks on the door of Wesley's house, waiting along with the boys.

The door opens and surprisingly it's Hope.

"Hi, Hope isn't it?" Nadia held her hand out to her.

Hope nodded, shaking her hand. "Uh, yes. Can I help you?"

"Yes, you can. I'm Nadia, this is Sam and this is Dean. We were called by your fiance, Wesley, to come by and arrange some floral arrangements for your wedding."

Hope gasped, her hand clutching over her heart. "He didn't."

"Oh he did!" Nadia cheesed along with Sam and Dean.

"Oh my god!" Hope exclaimed. "Come in, come in."

They stepped inside the house and after she closed the door, she led them into the living room where Wesley was sitting his recliner chair.

"Wes!" Hope walked over to him, placing her hand on her hips. "You didn't tell me you called the florists for the wedding!"

"Huh?" Wesley frowned in confusion.

"You're the best" She gasped.

Hope took a hold of his head and gave him a huge kiss on the forehead. "I'm gonna go get my folders."

"Uh, o-- Okay." Wes watched her go.

"Wesley, how's it going?" Dean asked.

Wesley started to get up. "It's Wes. . . ss."

The trio walked up to him and he sat back down in fear.

"Aren't you the guys from the health department?"

"Yeah. And florists on the side." Said Sam.

"Plus FBI." Nadia added.

"And on Thursdays, we're teddy bear doctors." Dean states sarcastically.

"Huh?"

"Doesn't matter who we are." Nadia placed her hands on her hips. "What matters is what we know."

"So, coin collector, huh, Wes?" Sam noticed the frames of coins he had on his wall.

"Oh." Wes looked at the frame. "Yeah. My. . . grandfather gave them to me."

"Did you happen to lose one of those coins lately?" Dean questioned. "And by lose, I mean drop into a wishing well at Lucky Chin's and make a wish on it?"

Wes began to stutter, shaking his head. "No, I - I don't know what you're, uh, talking about."

Hope comes back with lots of papers and folders and Wes stands.

"Okay, now. I have a lot of ideas, but, you know, we don't have all the money in the world. Wes is between jobs right now. Means more time for me."

She starts looking through her folders. "You know, I'm thinking a Japanese-y ikebana kind of thing."

"Yes." Dean acted intrigued. "I can see it."

"Yeah. So, Hope, uh, tell us how you two lovebirds met. " Said Sam.

"Oh, best day of my life." She smiled.

"I bet." Nadia gave Wes the side eye.

"Yeah! It's the funniest thing. We both grew up here, but I never really knew who he was. Not by name anyway. Until one day last month, it was like I just,"

She sighs, putting the folders down.

Hope stared at him in veneration, placing her hand on his cheeks. "I just saw him for the first time. He was just. . . glowing. Oh, just glowing."

Wes cleared his throat, "Uh, babe, can you - can you get us some coffee?"

Hope nodded, her hard breathing causing the trio discomfort. "Yes. Yeah."

The brunette starts giving him kisses, again and again and again, each one more sexual than the last.

The group stared in shock as Wes tried to get her to stop in between kisses.

"Oh. Okay. Okay. Mm-Hmm. Okay. Oh, okay. Oh. Mm-mmm, okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. " He was finally able to pull her away.

Hope took a deep breath, smoothing her hair down to get herself together as she walked to the kitchen.

Wes looked down in embarrassment, wiping his lips.

"Wes, we know." Sam made him look up. "So tell us the truth."

While Wes starts explaining, Hope listens from the kitchen.

"My - my grandfather found the coin in north Africa, you know, World War II." He went over to grab one of the frames of coins, showing it to them.

"And, uh, he brought it back. He, um, he said it was a real wish-granting coin, but that nobody should ever use it. Um. .  It was all I had, and when he died, I thought, Well, you know what? Why not give the coin a shot?"

"Yeah, well, now you're gonna wish it back." Nadia tells him.

"Oh." Wes chuckles before realizing how serious they are. "Oh. Ha ha, no, I'm not."

"If you don't stop it, something bad's gonna happen."

"Something bad." Sam adds. "Like us."

Dean stepped forward, pulling his pistol out of his belt.

"We really wish you'd come with us."

Wes sat in the back of the Impala with Nadia, pouting like a child as they drove down the road.

"I don't get it. So, my wish came true. Why does that have to be a bad thing?"

"Because the wishes go south, Wes." Sam answers. "Your town is going insane."

"Come on." Says Dean. "You're gonna sit there and tell me that your relationship with Hope is functional, that it's what you wished for?"

"I wished she would love me more than anything."

"Yeah, and, uh, how is that going?" Nadia looked over at him. "That seem healthy to you?"

"Well, it's a hell of a lot better than when she didn't know I was alive."

Dean shook his head.

"You're not supposed to get what you want, man, not like this. Nobody is."

His words made Wes sigh. "That's what the coin does. It takes your heart's desires and it twists it back on you. You hear of the whole, uh, be careful what you wish for?"

Suddenly the car jolted, running over something.

Dean kept driving and Sam looked back. "Did we just hit something?"

"I didn't see anything." Nadia looked back with a confused frown.

Little did they know they had just ran over the invisible boy who's been hunting the showers.

"Careful what you wish for." Wes mocked Dean. "You know who says that? Good-looking jerks like you guys, the ones who've got it so easy because you happen to be handsome."

"Easy? " The brothers said in unison.

"Yeah. Women - women look at you, right? They notice you."

"Believe us, we do not have it easy." Sam said matter of factly.

"We are miserable." Dean tells him. "We never get what we want. In fact, we have to fight tooth and nail just to keep whatever it is we got."

"Plus, coming from a girl, good looking guys aren't all that." Nadia told him.

"Yeah they might look good, they might even be fun to look at but they're the heartbreakers, or the emotionally disturbed ones who can't say what they want or how they feel because of their ego."

The thought of her and Dean's argument made her angry all over again.

"Trust me, it's not what its all yucked up to be."

She crossed her arms over her chest, looking out the window. "Cute guys, ugly guys, nerdy guys, bad guys, they all make you miserable."

She felt Dean's gaze but didn't even bother to look.

"But you know what?" Sam went on. Maybe that's the whole point, Wes."

"Yeah, people are people cause they're miserable bastards, cause they never get what they really want." Dean agreed.

Nadia nodded. "Right, yeah, you get what you want, you get crazy."

"Take a look at Michael Jackson, hmm?" Dean cocks an eyebrow. "Or Hasselhoff."

"You know what? Hope loves me now, completely."

Wes ignored everything they said. "And it's awesome. Besides, look around. Where's all this, uh, insanity you guys were talking about?"

Just as the question falls off his lips, they stop at a stop sign to see the three boys from earlier.

They were trapped in a four wheeler, the kid they bullied shaking the truck in anger.

"Well, that should cover it." Said Dean.

The four of them watched the scrawny boy tip the truck on it's side.

The boy looked up with his fist in the air, shouting.

"Kneel before Todd! Kneel before Todd! "

Dean gets out of the car, "Alright, I'll handle Todd. You two get Wes to Lucky Chin's."

As Sam climbs over to the front seat, Nadia gets out of the back and takes the passenger seat.

Wes leans on the front seat, staring at Todd in shock as they pull off.
