Fate is what happens in spite of all your plans. ~Anonymous

Nadia's stomach growled as the half angel hungrily looked at the food menu, sitting at the table with the Winchester boys for lunch. The diner was pretty quiet and so was their table giving Dean was reading again while Sam was looking for something to eat as well.
"Hey, this could be a good thing." Dean looked up from the manuscript, having an idea. "I mean, if this is what puts us on the path to Lilith, then all we got to do is get off the path."
"How do you mean?" Sam asked.
"It's a blueprint of what not to do. I mean, if the pages say that we go left –"
"Then we go right." Nadia was understanding his plan.
"Exactly. We get off-book. We never make it to the end. It's opposite day. It says that we, uh, we get into a fight. So, no fighting."
Sam nodded, agreeing with that.
"No research for you. . ."
"No bacon cheeseburger for you." Sam retorted.
Dean looks at his younger brother obviously not happy about that. "Yeah, no problem. I'll just order something else."
"What about me?" Nadia questioned.
"Well," Dean looked at the manuscript. "Apparently, you and I have a heart to heart. So no talking about your feelings or mine for that matter."
Nadia mentally rolled her eyes, having planned to talk to Dean later on. Not about the torture thing but the two had yet to disgust what Castiel said about them having to think about their future with one another.
Neither of them had stopped thinking about it and it kind of made them realize that with the Apocolypse and the seals being broken, they didn't really know what the future of their relationship looked like.
"No talking about feelings got it." She gestured herself zipping her lips closed.
Their waitress approached the table, her pen, and pad in hand.
"Hi, uh, what's good?" The older Winchester asked as he picked up his menu.
"Well, if you like burgers, Oprah's girlfriend said we have the best bacon cheeseburgers in the country."
Sam and Nadia laughed at Dean who let out a sigh, "Really?"
"I'll just have the cobb salad, please," Sam ordered, receiving a look of disgust from his brother.
"And a BLT for me with a side of fries."
Lastly, Dean ordered still scanning his menu for at least something that was close to a burger.
The waitress two the other two menus before leaving the trio to talk.
"This whole thing's ridiculous." Sam still wasn't taking the situation very seriously.
"Lilith is ridiculous?" Dean asked the younger Winchester.
"The idea of me hooking up with her is."
Nadia sipped on her ice tea as her boyfriend said, "Right. Cause something like that can never happen."
Sam scowled at his sibling, trying not to get angry. He wanted to keep his anger to Lilith.
"Can I be honest?" Nadia intervened.
The boys looked at the half angel.
"Something isn't right about this. I mean, other than the fact she sent Dean to hell and she's evil, what's the real reason you're killing her Sam? What did she personally do to you?"
Sam couldn't really answer.
"Better yet, what did you do to her?"
"What's your point?" Sam questioned.
"I'm saying we're hunters but we don't just go looking for the bad things for kicks. These bad things they kill people and we handle it. Lilith has been under the radar, she's been doing nothing and now all of a sudden she's just going to pop up to give Sam a visit and for what? What's her motive? Why would she try to kill you? What does she get? Praise?"
Dean raised an eyebrow realizing Nadia had a point.
Nadia sat back, "Look I'm all for killing demons but something's not being said, so I don't think killing her is the best thing to do at the moment."
The expression on Sam's face showed he didn't like the idea of not being able to take down Lilith. Which made the situation even crazier, it seemed it was less about defeating evil and more about the Winchester getting his revenge.
Sam leaned on the table. "Look, for the first time, we have warning that Lilith is close."
"So?" The older Winchester shrugged.
"So. . . we've got the jump on her. If we know when she's coming, we know where she's. . .this is an opportunity."
Dean angrily snapped at Sam, "Are you –" He took a deep breath, trying to keep calm and not fight. "It frustrates me when you say such reckless things." He said in a fake happy tone.
"Well, it frustrates me when you'd rather hide than fight." The younger Winchester spat back, trying not to sound angry as well.
Nadia just sat there, staring at the infuriated brothers as she once again sipped on her ice tea.
Thankfully the waitress arrived with their food. "Cobb salad for you, BLT for you and the tofu veggie burger for you."
"Thank you." Nadia gave her a friendly smile before she walked away.
The three started to dig in, Dean picking up his burger before saying, "It's not hiding. It's being smart. It's picking your battles. This is a battle that we are not ready to fight."
Sam's jaw clenched as he refrained from replying.
Dean takes a huge bite out of his burger, his chewing violent at first. His munching then slowed down, the astonished Winchester talking with his mouth full. "Oh, my god. This is delicious. Tofu is amazing!"
The waitress comes back, a look of an embarrassment on her face. "I am so sorry. I gave you the bacon cheeseburger by mistake."
So much for opposite day.

Dean pulled up to a sleazy hotel, Nadia, and Sam staring in distaste.
"Dude, this place charges by the hour," Sam complained.
"Yeah, well, the book says Lilith finds you at the Red Motel." Was Dean's reply as he pulled into a parking spot.
"Yeah," Nadia stared at a hooker who was walking past with her client. "Hence, the uh, hooker inn."
Dean looked over at her. "It's opposite day, remember?"
Dean was still going to try and beat this Lilith situation so Sam and Nadia were just going to hang in there with him. They screwed up once already but hopefully, they could really go off track and avoid Chuck's writing.
As soon as they settled into their motel room, Dean searched through his duffle bag, pulling out some hex bangs before placing them around the room.
"What are you doing?" Sam frowned at him.
"Couple of hex bags ought to Lilith-proof the room."
"So, what? I'm supposed to just hole up here all night?" Sam didn't like the sound of that plan.
"That's exactly what you're gonna do, okay?" Dean said matter of factly. "And no research. I don't care what you do – use the magic fingers or watch Casa Erotica on Pay-Per-View." Placing the last hex bag down, he noticed Sam's satchel and pulled out the laptop, smiling.
"Oh, dude, come on." Sam groaned.
Dean quickly gave the device to Nadia before Sam could take it. "Just call it a little insurance."
"Sorry, Sam." Nadia kind of felt bad.
"What are you two gonna do?"
"Well, the pages say that we spend all day riding around in the Impala. So we're gonna go park her."
Nadia opened the door and Dean turned to follow her only to look back at his brother. "Behave yourself, would you? No homework. Watch some porn."
Dean smiled at that, pleased by his brotherly authority and left a fuming Sam alone.

"Dean, she'll be fine." Nadia assured the Winchester who was making sure the doors of the Impala were locked for like the tenth time. They had parked the car a few blocks away from the motel in a vacant parking lot.
"Alright," Dean backed away to leave. Sadly, the Winchester hated to leave his baby. "Wait just one more time."
"Dean!"
"Okay, okay, okay." He put his hands up in surrender.
He longingly stared at the shiny car before making his way across the street with Nadia at his side.
"I swear sometimes I think you're more into that car than you are into me." She crossed her arms over her chest as she got pulled in by the Winchester.
"Aww, don't say that, Robin. Trust me when I say, I am very into you. Maybe a little too into you."
She gave a cocky smirk, "Like there's such thing."
She looked up at the Winchester about to kiss him but she noticed something in the corner of her eye. The half angel stopped walking and look to see two teenagers attempting to break into the car, Dean noticing too.
"Oh my god." Nadia covered her hand over her mouth in shock.
She went to the unconscious Winchester's side.
"Dean?" She patted his face but poor Dean was out.
As she checked his pulse which thankfully was still going, she heard a smash and looked up to see the teenagers had thrown a brick right through the back window before running away in their mischevious laugher.
"Balls!" She yelled in frustration.
"I'm so sorry." A blonde got out of the van, running over with her daughter not too far behind.
Nadia looked around realizing cars were stopping to see what happened.
She stood as the woman approached her, a guilty look on her face. "I didn't see him, it-it-it happened so fast."
"It's okay, just calm down." The lady's frantic state was causing Nadia to panic herself.
The woman started rambling on about insurance and all that, meanwhile her daughter was putting flowery pink band-aids on Dean's face.
Dean's unconsciousness lasted for about two minutes before the Winchester started to come to.
Noticing his eyes trying to open, Nadia and the woman hovered over him.
"Dean?" Nadia called him.
His eyes slowly opened, his vision blurry. Through the blur, the Winchester could see the outline of Nadia and the woman who had long dangling earrings shaped like stars.
"Oh my god." The woman was still in a frenzy. "Just take it easy, you're gonna be okay." She assured him.
"Dean, can you hear me?" Nadia asked.
"Stars," Dean muttered incoherently.
"What was that?" The blonde questioned, not understanding.
Dean blinked trying to raise his head.
"I'm so sorry." She went on. "I just didn't see you. Are you okay?"
With help from Nadia, the Winchester managed to sit up, his vision clearing up.
"And sorry about. . . you know." She indicates the young girl standing beside her. "M-My daughter's going through a doctor phase."
Nadia let out a sigh, shaking her head at the band-aids on the left side of his face.
"What are you talking about?" Dean was weary.
"You're all better now." The little girl cheesed.
Dean glanced across the street and stares in horror at the Impala's shattered window.
"Oh, no. ."
Nadia followed his gaze and the Winchester quickly got up.
"Oh, boy." She stood. "Dean." She worriedly followed after him.
He approaches the car, fuming.
"Hey, we'll get it fixed." Nadia tried to soothe the Winchester, rubbing his arm. Staring up at his face, she tried her best not to laugh at the band-aids. It was pretty adorable.
Looking inside the car, Dean caught a glimpse of himself in the side window, seeing the band-aids.
"Alright, we're done with this." He had hit his limit.
As Dean went to the trunk to get the tarp, Nadia let out a sigh. "I guess opposite day is over."
Only a moment later the couple was making their way back to Chuck's place, Nadia driving while Dean was beside her brooding in vexation.
The tarp was blowing in the wind, just like Chuck predicted.

Chuck ascended his house stairs, carrying a bottle of Whiskey in a brown bag and six-pack of beer cans. The writer unlocks the door to his house and enters.
Not surprised to see Nadia and a very agitated Dean in his living room, he slowly walked in.
"Dean. Nadia." He had a nervous look on his face as he pushed his key into his pocket.
"I take it you knew we'd be here." Dean's jaw twitched.
"You look terrible," Chuck commented.
"That's because he just got hit by a minivan, Chuck," Nadia informed the writer.
Chuck looked at the Winchester who was sitting in the recliner chair. "Oh."
Dean looked ready to punch the hell out of him as he leaned forward, crazy-eyed. "That it? Every damn thing you write about me comes true; that's all you have to say is oh?!"
"Please don't yell at me." Chuck turned away, putting his alcohol down.
Dean stood, "Why do I get feeling there's something that you're not telling us?"
"Chuck, I'd answer him if I were you." The half angel crossed her arms over her chest.
Usually, she would try to calm him down but he got hit by a car and his window smashed in. There was no calming him down.
"What wouldn't I be telling you?" Chuck gulped.
"How you know what you know, for starters!" Dean yelled.
"I don't know how I know, I just do!"
"That's not good enough." The Winchester gritted his teeth before shoving Chuck against the wall. "How the hell are you doing this?!"
"Dean, let him go!" Castiel appeared out of nowhere.
The Winchester released the writer, turning to face the angel who said, "This man is to be protected."
"Why?" Nadia asked, her eyebrows furrowed in curiosity.
". . .He's a Prophet of the Lord."
