"You don't need to be scared."

Vanessa made sure to keep her distance from her daughter who was obviously hesitant.

"I beg to differ." Nadia shook her head. "Last time we saw each other, you tried to kill me."

"That wasn't really me." Her mother explained, "You know I would never blame you for my death, Nadie."

Vanessa held her hand out. "You can trust me." She had a look of sincerity in her eyes. "I promise I won't hurt you."

Vanessa took a step toward her daughter and surprisingly Nadia didn't back up, she just stared at her mother's hand.

Unlike last time, she felt like she could trust her mother.

Gulping, she took a chance and reached her hand out, taking a hold of Vanessa's.

Her mother gave her a bright smile as the feeling of relief came over the girl.

"Mom." She fell into her mother's arms, hugging her.

Vanessa squeezed her daughter tight, both the girls crying in pure happiness.

Vanessa pulled away, caressing Nadia's cheeks as she wiped her tears away with her thumb. "You've grown up so beautifully."

Nadia cheesed. "Thanks, Mom."

She wiped her own mother's tears away.

The two had a moment of silence as they placed their foreheads together.

It wasn't until Nadia remembered the situation she was in and looked around.

"Is this heaven?"

"No." Vanessa looked out toward the green field.

"Its not heaven, it's more of an in between. Its a world that your mind has created because. . .you're dying Nadia."

Nadia's heart dropped at the news.

"I'm dying." She repeated. "I'm dying."

She turned away, shaking her head at herself.

"Out of all the ways to die, I get stabbed by a slick demon. That's not very bad ass."

"Demons?" Her mother frowned. "You got stabbed by a demon?"

"Oh yeah," Nadia turned to her mother to explain. "So, I met Anna who by the way fell like you did but we got her grace back."

"We?"

"Yeah, my boyfriend Dean and his brother Sam. The Winchesters."

"You have a boyfriend?" Her mother placed her hands on her hips, a stern look in her eyes.

"Yes, Mom but that's not the point." Nadia didn't want to go into a whole conversation about the bees and the birds.

Her father had had that conversation with her along time ago, making her mother a tad late.

"Angels and demons are out to get me, there's been a bounty on my head. I'm to be killed so I can't find my grace. . .and they've succeeded."

"Well, well doesn't your father know?" Vanessa asked.

"If no one has found me on the ground yet, then no. Hopefully I've been found and he does know along with the boys and Bobby. If I'm dying and in the hospital, I know for sure they're doing something to help me."

"How do you know for sure?"

"Because Dad wouldn't just sit around and Dean wouldn't either. Trust me mom, those two together is trouble. Especially in which it pertains to me."

Vanessa watched her turn away in thought. "But if I'm dying, how are they going to help me?"

"Well they would have to find your grace, if nothing else can work, your grace will save you." Vanessa informed her.

"My grace, of course."  Nadia fidgeted with her fingers.

Now that she was dying, she wasn't as excited about getting her grace. She still hadn't figured out if she even wanted to be an angel or not and the only reason she was looking for it was because people were out to kill her.

"Something wrong?" Her Mother asked, placing her hand on her shoulder.

Nadia turned to her, a nervous look on her eye. "I just. . .I'm not sure I want to be half angel."

The Impala pulled up to the antique store and Dean turned off the car, getting out along with Anna and Sam.

The bell above the door chimed as the three walked inside.

The store looked like a chaotic mess. There was vintage clocks along one side of the wall, animal heads on another and random items all over the place.

It seemed like no one was around, causing Dean to clear his throat, "Uh, hello?"

The three jumped at the site of an old man popping up from behind the counter with a stuffed monkey holding two symbols in his hands.

"Yes, can I help you?"

Dean gulped, calming his nerves.

The man looked oddly creepy with his wrinkly pale skin and receeding gray hair.

"Yes, yes you can."

The three approached the counter and the man held out the monkey.

"Want to buy this? You won't regret it." He gave an eery smile.

"No, thanks." Sam was obviously uncomfortable.

"We are actually looking for something." Anna took over. "Mister uh,"

"Vavaldi."

"Mister Vavaldi, what a wonderful unique name." Anna gave a friendly smile. "We are looking for a gold heart shaped nightlight that never turns off. A man by the name of Rufus Turner said he gave it to you to sell in this shop."

"Oh why yes," He put the monkey down. "Rufus, he brings me old things all the time. Nice man."

Dean furrowed his eyebrows. "Are we talking about the same person?"

Sam nudged him in the arm, furrowing his eyebrows.

"You wouldn't happen to still have the night light, would you?" Anna questioned.

"No I'm sorry." He caused their faces to fall. "Unfortunately I've recently sold it to someone, just a few days ago."

"Who?" Sam asked. "You wouldn't happen to have a number or an address?"

"Well son, that is confidential."

"Please, sir." Dean looked at the man with desperateness beaming in his eyes.

"I know it doesn't seen like much but that night light can save someone's life. Someone very important to me and I can't. . .I don't know what I'll do if I can't save them."

Mister Vavaldi went quiet, studying not only Dean's face but Sam and Anna who were also desperate.

"Its a woman I know, a friend. She bought if for her granddaughter."

"Do you have a number or an address?" Anna asked.

"Both. Give me a moment." Mr. Vavaldi turned around, disappearing in the back.

Anna and the boys sighed of relief, waiting.

Mr. Vavaldi came back, giving them a piece of paper with the number and address on it.

After thanking him, they went outside to call the number.

Dean held his phone which was on speaker in his hand so Anna and Sam could hear.

They waited for an answer but the phone just kept on ringing and ringing.

It wasn't until the call had went straight to voicemail that Dean hung up with a sigh.

"Alright, guess we're going to have to go with plan B and pay the lady a visit."

Dean returned his phone to his pocket and the three of them got back in the car to get on the road.

Nadia and Vanessa sat beside each other in the grass, the wind blowing through their hair as they stared into the distance.

"You know . . . when you used to tell me about angels and how they kept me safe, I use to think of them as these beautiful, kind beings and then I met one and their just . . .emotionless and cold."

"That, that is true." Her mother couldn't help but agree. "But I mean, angels were built to not only help people but to do the things that need to be done."

"You're standing up for them?" Nadia raised her eyebrows in surprise.

"No, no honey of course not. I mean, I fell not only because I loved your father and I wanted a peaceful life for you but being an angel was hard but it didn't mean I didn't understand."

There was a look of guilt in Nadia's eyes that her mother noticed. "And I think you have an understanding too."

"Its horrible down there, Mom." Fear came over Nadia. "I'm talking Satan, the apocalypse, seals are being broken. The angels, they were going to smite a whole town to prevent a seal from being broken and though I didn't like the idea, I understand why and part of me knew that it was a good idea. . .and that scared me.

All this time I've been saving people and at that moment I was willing to sacrifice a thousand lives to prevent something bigger from tarnishing this world."

Nadia's words caused her eyes to water as she was finally able to tell how she feels.

"Dean. . .Sam. . .they think things are bad now, but if Lucifer gets out, it's gonna be worse. Sacrifice, it's scary but I get it and that makes it even scarier."

Vanessa's lips curved into a smile as she wiped Nadia's tears that managed to escape.

"And that's what's going to make you a good angel. Baby you were born for this. You know in your heart what needs to be and you also know when it's not worth it unlike other angels. You lead not only with your mind but with your heart and that's what going to make you so great."

"But what if I fail?" Nadia placed her hand on her mother's which was still on her face.

"You dust yourself off and you try again. No body's perfect, not even angels."

Nadia laughed a bit, "Yeah tell me about it." She referred to the angels, also causing her mother to laugh.

With Dean in the lead, Sam and Anna followed him up the porch steps of an old yellow brick house with a bunch of chime bells and dream catchers hanging from the porch roof.

The wind caused the bells to ring softly as the older Winchester held his fist up to knock on the door.

As soon as his fist connected with the door it slightly creaked up, having not been closed in the first place.

The brothers instantly exhanged a look, before taking out their pistols.

"Stay here." Dean told Anna.

In lead, he stepped inside the house with Sam behind him.

In the foyer there was the living room to the left and dining room to the right.

To get to the kitchen you would have to go forward down the hall.

Dean motioned for Sam to go forward while he went into the living room.

Sam followed directions leaving his brother alone.

Dean peeked his head into the living room, a body coming into view, the more he stepped inside.

Laying on the carpet was a dead gray haired old woman bleeding out from her mouth.

Dean's head fell as he stared in disappointment.

Just as he opened his mouth to call Sam, he got thrown across the room, crashing into a wall of pictures before hitting the floor.

He grunted in pain, looking up to see a blonde with black eyes stalking over to him with a devious grin on her face and the night light in her hand.

"Looking for this?" She teased.

Just as Sam walked in to notice his brother, an angel blade stuck out of the blonde from behind and an orange light beamed through her body as she let out a gasp.

The blade disappeared inside her and she fell to the ground, revealing Anna who held the bloody blade in her hand.

She quickly picked up the night light. "We gotta go, now."
