Part Four

At the end of the day, the people who really matter will be the ones standing next to you watching the sunset and assuring you that it will rise again in the morning. ~Anonymous

The Winchester boys and Nadia walk across the street toward the Impala, wiping the blood off their faces with rags.

"Where the hell are we gonna find this mook?" Dean asked.

"Where would you go to raise other dark forces of the night?" Sam retorted.

"The cemetery." Nadia rolled her eyes at the irony.

They quickly got in the car, Dean started it up and they sped off down the street.

As they're driving, Sam broods in the passenger seat before saying. "So, this demon's pretty powerful."

"Yeah." Dean nodded, knowingly.

"Might take more than the usual weapons."

Sam glances at Dean out of the corner of his eye and after a moment Dean gets what he is suggesting.

"Sam, no, you're not using your psychic whatever."

"But-"

"Don't even think about it. Ruby's knife is enough."

"Why?" Sam questioned.

"Well because the angels said so for one –"

"I thought you said they were a bunch of fanatics."

Nadia looked from Winchester to Winchester, hoping this wasn't going to turn into an unnecessary argument.

"Well they happen to be right about this one."

Sam shakes his head, "I don't know, Dean, it doesn't seem like they're right about much."

"Well then forget the angels, okay?" Dean's tone got stern. "You said yourself, these powers, it's like playing with fire."

Dean picks up the knife and holds out the handle to Sam. "Please."

Reluctantly, Sam takes the knife with a huff, settling the argument.

After a quiet ride, they arrived at the cemetery.

The place was already turning into a chaotic mess.

Samhain not only raised the dead but locked a group of teenagers into the mausoleum.

Unfortunately, some of the teens had already lost their life to the depraved dead.

Nadia and the boys approach the gate where the kids are screaming in desperation to get out.

"Help them." Sam told Dean and Nadia.

"Dude, you're not going off alone." Dean objects.
"I'll go with you." Nadia volunteers.

"No! Do it!" Sam yelled at the two before going to find Samhain.

Dean looks after him for a second, before looking at a worried Nadia and then the screaming kids.

"Stand back! Stand back!." He tells Nadia, before motioning the kids to do the same.

Dean shoots the lock and kicks the gate open, letting them out.

"Go on, come on, get out, move!" Nadia motions the kids out along with Dean.

All the teens rush past them screaming for their lives.

As soon as the last teen was gone, the second wave of the zombie massacre broke out.

Side by side, Dean and Nadia watched a door of a grave crash to the ground and break.

A zombie crawls out and stands to his feet just as another starts to emerge.

Dean pulls out a silver stake, his back against Nadia who pulled out her pistol and blade, glaring at the zombie before her.

"Lets dance." She smirked.

"Bring it on, stinky." Said Dean.

While Dean gave his zombie a stake to the head, Nadia gave hers a head shot right between the eyes.

More zombies started to climb out of their grave, starting a bloody massacre, corpses dropping dead. . again. . .like flies.

A zombie swatted Nadia's gun out of her hand.

To counter, she tripped it on its back stabbing her blade into his head.

She stood and a pair of greenish zombie hands, grasped her shoulders only to get killed by Dean, who pushed the stake through it's head.

Nadia turned around, panting in relief. "Thanks."

She noticed a zombie coming behind Dean and tossed her blade, watching it slice right through the zombie's eye.

Dean looked back impressed as the corpse fell to the ground.

"Don't mention it." Nadia smiled but her smile quickly disappeared when Dean pulled her out the way, swinging his stake to stab a woman that was behind her.

The Winchester failed, the woman disappearing before he could strike.

The woman appears behind the two and as soon as they look, she flings out her hand, sending them flying across the room, sliding down the wall in pain.

They groan with irritated looks on their faces.

"Zombie ghost orgy huh?" Dean chuckled a bit. "Well, that's it, we're torching everybody."

"Come on." Nadia grunted as she stood.

She picked up her blade, pistol and the duffle bag as Dean stood with his stake in his hand. "Lets go get Sam."

Dean nodded and the two left the mausoleum, entering a chaotic mess.

Children, parents, teenagers were running around in fear, getting chased by monsters.

Dean and Nadia looked around frantically, wondering where Sam could be.

Nadia looked to her right, seeing two figures through a colorful mirror of a bigger mausoleum.

"Come on, this way." She started to run toward it with Dean behind her.

They entered the mausoleum and when they turn the corner, they stop, seeing Sam exorcising Samhain with his powers.

Dean's face falls, the Winchester making eye contact with Sam who continued anyways.

Sam was concentrating so hard his nose starts to bleed.

His head was pounding from how hard he was focusing, causing the younger Winchester to hold it with his free hand.

"Oh Sam." Nadia dropped the duffle bag, shaking her head in fear and disappointment.

Finally Samhain's corpse drops to the floor, black smoke disappearing into the floor back to hell.

Sam pants, calming down, not even able to look his brother in the eye.

Dean looks at him sadly, a little bit of fear in his eyes.

Dean sat on the park bench, watching kids play on the playground.

He missed the days when he was innocent and unaware of all the bad stuff going on in the world.

From the apocalypse, the angels, his nightmares, Sam, mentally he was tired and felt the weight of the world on his shoulders.

This is why he didn't want to take the next step with Nadia. Him, his life it's always been and always will be a disaster waiting to happen.

And Nadia, though he didn't tell her, finally realized that after solving the case.

She walked over to the sad Winchester, sitting next to him.

Figuring he probably didn't want to talk after seeing Sam, she said nothing, she only sat there.

"I didn't say I didn't want to." Dean said after a moment, keeping his gaze forward.

"What?"

She looked down, feeling his fingers intertwine with hers.

"I never said I didn't want to take that next step with you, Robin." He looked into her eyes.

She gulped, her heartbeat beginning to fasten.

"Every minute you're here, you seem to get more perfect. I've never met a woman like you before. And you see when it comes to me and my life, good things don't happen and if they do, they don't last."

"Dean," She put her head to his.

"I don't want to risk losing you before I even get a chance to see where this can go, okay?"

He closed his eyes. "So can we just, just take this slow?"

"Okay." She nodded, understandingly squeezing his hand. "Okay."

He lifted his head and kissed her on the forehead, making her smile.

With their fingers still intertwined, she sat back and laid her head on his shoulder as they sat in a comfortable silence.
