There's always a little truth behind every "just kidding," a little knowledge behind every "I don't know," and little emotion behind every "I don't care," and pain behind every little "It's okay." ~Anonymous

Nadia put a quarter into the jukebox machine, Dean's oversized green and blue flannel hanging off her shoulders while she thought about what song she wanted to put on.
As she was deliberating, she felt Dean's arms around her torso.
She bit her lip smiling as he kissed her anti-possession tattoo on her upper back and then her tattooed shoulder, clasping his hands around her waist.
He took in her sweet scent, nuzzling his face into her neck, "Do you know how much alone time we need?"
"Tell me about it." Nadia finally decided what song she wanted: Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.
Work had been a pain in the ass for the couple and they were craving some alone time. No offense to Sam who was at the table talking to Bobby on the phone about another case.
"You know we could go to the car for a quickie, I can try to be quick, I can't make any promises."
Nadia chuckled, turning around so she was face to face with the handsome Winchester.
"Yeah, my neck still hurts from the last quickie we had in the car. Besides, I'm tired of doing it in a car."
"The bathroom?" He furrowed his eyebrows.
"Dean." She glared.
"I'm just kidding." He smiled.
"I know but I'm serious, I'm all for spontaneous sex but it would be nice to get a room. . .without Sam. So we could cuddle, talk, have sex. . .just be alone."
"Yeah, I know what you mean." Dean nodded. "But don't worry, we will find the time. I promise." He gave her a kiss on the lips, pulling her so close their bodies were touching.
Hand in hand, the couple walked over to the table where a waitress had just placed down Dean's burgers and fries.
"Okay, Bobby, thanks." Said Sam as Dean and Nadia sat across from him.
"What's up?" Nadia asked the younger Winchester who started typing on his laptop, replying, "Bobby found something in Wyoming."
"A job?" Dean spread his arms out, preparing to dig into his burger.
"Maybe." Sam furrowed his eyebrows, concentrating on his laptop.
Dean who violently took a bite out of his sandwich, listened along with Nadia who ate one of his fries.
"Small town, no one's died in the past week and a half."
"That so unusual?" Dean looked like a chipmunk, his food stuffed in his cheeks.
"Well, it's how they're not dying." Sam clarified. "One guy with terminal cancer strolls right out of hospice. Another guy gets capped by a mugger and walks away without a scratch."
"Capped in the ass?" Nadia asked.
Sam read the article pulled up on the screen, "Police say Mr. Jenkins was shot in the heart at point-blank range by a nine-millimeter."
Dean chewed intensely on the fries he stuffed in his mouth.
"And he's not a doughnut?" The Winchester talked with his mouth full.
Nadia rolled her eyes, use to his horrible eating habits.
"Locals are saying it's a miracle." Sam said.
Dean thought for a moment, not seeing the weird part of the case but not necessarily deeming that it isn't weird. "Okay."
Sam had a thoughtful look on his face, looking from Dean to Nadia, "It's got to be something nasty, right? I mean, people making deals or something."
Dean chewed slowly in thought, looking over at Nadia who was considering that Sam might be right.
"You think?" She questioned.
"What else would it be?" The younger Winchester asked the two.
Dean gave a shrugged, completely unbothered. "I don't know."
Sam just looked at him for a moment, before beginning to pack up his laptop. "All right. Get that to go."
Nadia grabs her jacket but slowly puts it on, noticing Dean was not moving. She looked over at Sam who noticed as well and told him, "Come on."
The younger Winchester stands up, picking up his bag.
Dean didn't move, he only chewed.
Sam frowned at him, swinging his bag over his shoulder. "What?"
Dean looks up and keeps chewing, then glances away and back. "Sure you want me going with you?"
Instantly Nadia looked away, feeling the tension Dean was giving off. It wasn't surprising that ever since the two got put under a spell by that Siren, they were having awkward moments, throwing jabs at one another.
Dean more than Sam because it was obvious the Winchester was a little hurt by his brother's words and the fact that he was talking to Ruby again, didn't help.
"Why wouldn't I?" Sam was confused.
Nadia sighed, "Dean-"
"I don't want to be holding you back or nothing," Dean repeated Sam's words.
Sam rolled his eyes, letting out a sigh. "Dude, I've told you a hundred times, that was the siren talking, not me."
Dean just looked at his younger brother, the word petty practically written across his forehead.
"Can we get past this?" Sam was pretty much begging.
Dean sniffed, tossing down his burger before brushing off his hands, "Yeah, we're past it."

The three sat at the table in Jim's dining room, the guy who got shot in the heart and was still living to tell about it. While he sat across from them, his wife and his daughter were in the other room, coloring together.
"Now, you two said you were bloggers?" Jim asked the two, his blue eyes shining from the sun coming through the window.
"Yes, sir," Sam confirmed. "Floored by the Lord.com."
The Winchester looked at Nadia and Sam who were frowning at his extra-ness.
Sam cleared his throat moving on, "Um. Some of the people around town are saying what happened to you was a miracle."
"It was." Jim was very humble. "Plain as day."
"How can you be so sure?" Nadia questioned.
Messy haired Jim shrugged, "How else do you explain it? The doctors can't." He clasped his hands together. "There's a bullet in my heart, and it's pumping like a piston."
Dean furrowed his brows in curiosity. "Well, how do you explain it?"
Jim hesitated to speak, looking into the other room at his daughter. "Look, honestly." He made his voice low. "I was nobody's saint. Not exactly father of the year, either."
"Okay." Dean ushered him to keep going.
"But when that guy shot me and I didn't bleed a drop? I just knew the Lord was giving me a second chance."
Dean raised his eyebrows, having had experience with second chances. "That so?"
"I had this feeling. . .like angels were watching over me."
Jim paused and Dean nodded, a distant look in his eyes.
Jim sat back, "I wouldn't expect you guys to understand."
"Well, we'll just have to try." Nadia encourages him, sincerely.
Jim gave her a small, appreciative smile before looking at Sam who asked, "You wouldn't have happened to have swung by a crossroads in the past week or so?"
Confusion came over Jim, "No."
"Maybe you met someone?" Sam continued to question. "With black eyes? Or red?"
There was an intense look in Sam's eyes, that sparked a suspicion in Jim who leaned forward. "Who'd you guys say you were again?"
The three exchange a glance before Dean says, "Never mind."
"Thank you for your time." Nadia smiled, standing up with the boys to leave.

"I'm just saying babe, you have to let Sam off the hook," Nadia told the older Winchester who was sitting at a desk with the open laptop in front of him.
He looked over at his girlfriend, who was laying across their bed with hospital reports of the victims sprawled around her.
"Okay, maybe you're right." He admits. "But it still doesn't change that he lied to me about Ruby and I'm still mad about that."
Nadia pushed herself up, climbing off the bed. "You know me, I dislike Ruby just as much as you do but we have to understand when Sam was going through a rough time, she was there for him. That means something to him and because of that he believes Ruby is okay and that they're both actually doing good."
Dean looked away with a sigh, causing Nadia to walk over and sit on his lap.
"Babe, he's blind and he can't see. You're his brother, you have to be his eyes. Get out of his ass and just pay attention. You cannot let Ruby come in between you guys. You'll lose him and believe it or not, I've been hunting with you two long enough to know you love each other, even when you're being douche bags to one another."
Dean said nothing, as always hating she was right.
"Are you listening to me?" She frowned at him.
Nadia's body suddenly jerked, feeling Dean start tickling her. "Yeah, I'm listening."
He stared at her lovingly, doting to see her laugh.
"Stop it, stop it!" She was trying to get away but his hold was too strong.
"Don't . .make. . .me go. . . she hulk on you." She threatened, causing him to finally stop tickling her.
"That sounds kind of hot." He kissed her on the neck, making her blush.
She pushed his face away, rolling her eyes.
The door opened, Sam coming inside.
"Hey, Sam." Nadia gave Dean a grin, her heart beating at how crazy she was about him.
Sam smirked at the two as he watched a happy Dean watch Nadia walk back over to the bed.
"Hey." He greeted the couple, closing the door.
"Anything?" Dean reluctantly pulled his gaze away from his girl.
"That cancer survivor?" Sam walked over to his brother. "He was clinically dead, his wife pulled the plug, and now he's taking her out for their twentieth anniversary."
"Any sign of a deal?" Nadia was back in work mode.
"No." Sam replied, gloomily. "What about you guys? Found anyone dying around here?"
"Nada." Nadia shook her head while Dean said, "Not since Cole Griffith." Dean clicked the picture of the younger boy on his laptop, enlarging it. "He dropped ten days ago. It was the last death I could find."
"So, what are you thinking?" Sam asked, clueless.
Dean shrugged. "Eh, maybe it is what the people say it is."
Dean gets up, making his way over to get coffee while Sam scoffed, sitting at the desk.
"Miracles? Dean, our experience, when do miracles just happen?"
"Well, there's no deals." The older Winchester grabbed a mug. "There's, uh, no skeevy faith healers." He grabs the pot of coffee and began to pour himself some. "I mean, these souls just ain't getting dragged into the light."
The room goes silent, the trio thinking.
"Maybe cause there's no one around to carry them." Nadia suggested, a hypothesis coming together in her head.
Dean frowned at her, walking over to Sam and leaning on the desk. "What do you mean?"
"Well, grim reapers, that's what they do, right?" She sat up. "Schlep souls? So, if death isn't in town—"
"Then nobody's dying." Sam finished her sentence, catching what she was throwing.
"So what?" Dean retorted. "The local reaper's on strike? Playing the back nine?" He shrugged, putting his mug to his lips. "I don't know, guys."
"Well, then, let's talk to somebody who might." Sam took the words right out of Nadia's mouth.
"Well, last I checked, huggy bear ain't available." The older Winchester joked.
"No, babe, the kid," Nadia told him.
"The kid? The kid's a doornail."
"Exactly." Sam nodded. "Look, if he was the last person to die around here, then maybe he's seen something. We should talk to him."
A chuckle came off Dean's lips. "I love how matter-of-fact you are about that." He shook his head. "Strange lives."

Nadia stayed behind while the two went to the cemetery to summon Cole. She figured they had everything under control and when they came back she could tell him how they were going to be able to get the cycle of life to start rolling again.
The half angel was sitting on the bed, reading up on the victims who consider their avoidance of death a miracle. She felt bad for them because deep down she knew that once they solved the case, it was a good chance they were going to die like they were supposed to.
As much as Nadia loved to save lives, she was also very understanding of death. Sometimes, she would think about what if her mother survived but realized if her mother didn't die she wouldn't be who she was today.
Everything happens for a reason, even death plays a part. You never how someone's death affects another part of your life. It's like a domino effect, if the circle of life stops, it messes up things that are meant to be.
In the midst of her reading, she heard the flapping of wings, an angelic presence coming over her.
She looked up, locking eyes with the blue-eyed, trench coating wearing angel. "Castiel." She was surprised he was here.
He nodded, "Nice to see you, Nadia."
