"So last chapter (Y/n) manage to have a group mission with Kanon, and Gina to take out a few Ogretails, but after finishing their mission causing to have a short victory only for Hibari to inform them that a Varja to enter the area causing them to make a hasty retreat. So now (Y/n) is continue his days as a God Eater what will happen next?"

"Well let's find out now. So with that out of the way let's start this chapter now!"

"I was sitting in the cafeteria enjoying whatever food I was given, at first I really couldn't say I enjoyed the food, but at the same time I don't hate it, and if I'm being honest the food that I had back at the orphanage was a bit more better than here, but ehh I can't complain."

Kota:"Yo! What's up."

(Y/n):"Eh not much munching away. You?"

Kota:"About to do the same. Hey you down to do a mission?"

(Y/n):"Yeah why not? I got nothing on my schedule today."

Kota:"Alright! You and me taking care of any Aragami that comes our way!"

(Y/n):"Yeah!"

"After we finish our food we made our way towards Hibari to see if there's any missions available."

(Y/n):"Hey Hibari."

Kota:"Yo!"

Hibari:"Hello (Y/n), Kota. You guys looking for any missions?"

(Y/n):"You've read our minds. So anything available at the moment?"

Hibari:"Heh heh, alright let me see...uhh..well there's just one at the moment."

(Y/n):"(Oh right..wasn't that Zygote and just that one Zygote only?)"

Kota:"Alright! So what kinda of Aragami is it that we're dealing with?"

Hibari:" A Zygote."

Kota:"Anything else?"

Hibari:"That's it just a Zygote."

Kota:"Whaa!? Aw man that bites."

(Y/n):"Well at least we got a mission.(Hopefully one that doesn't have random surprises like last mission.)"

Kota:"Eh that's true. Alright we'll take that mission then Hibari."

Hibari:"Alright. Annnddd done, okay guys your mission has been confirmed good luck out there."

Kota:"Thanks Hibari."

"Soon afterwards we made our way to the gate and descended down to grab our God Arcs, once we stop at the floor to get them we see Licca pulling out our God Arcs probably more or less to make sure they're in top condition."

(Y/n):"Yo Licca. How's it going?"

Licca:"Oh. Hey there (Y/n), Kota just give me one sec just checking your God Arcs."

(Y/n):"Thanks Licca."

Licca:"No problem doing this kind of thing is my job!"

Licca:"Alright and done! Okay guys your good to go!"

Kota:"Alright! Hey buddy you ready for this?"

(Y/n):"Heh do you even need to ask?"

"After that we grabbed our God Arcs and soon left."

Kota Pov

"As soon as we got to the cliff we were just standing there waiting for Hibari to give us the orders."

Hibari:"Alright guys your clear for take off."

Kota:"Okay lets do this!"

(Y/n):"Hey how about a friendly bet."

Kota:"Oh ho? What kinda of bet?"

(Y/n):"First one to kill the Zygote has to do a favor for the winner."

Kota:"*Smirks* Oh you are so on!"

(Y/n):"Heh right let's go!"

"After we jumped down off the cliff and we both went right to check and see and wouldn't ya know it there it was a Zygote with its back turned. I was going to take the first shot until (Y/n) fires first, causing the Aragami to rise from the ground to be airborne."

Kota:"Oh come on!"

(Y/n):"Heh don't be mad we started as soon as we jumped from the cliff!*He says as he now switches back to his long blade.*"

"After switching he charges straight for it while I start shooting and after a few shots from me and (Y/n) landing a couple of hits behind it by and as soon as both of us hit it at the same time it falls down."

Kota:"Alright the beast is down that makes it my kill!"

(Y/n):"Uhh you sure about that Kota?"

Kota:"Huh? What do you mean?"

(Y/n):"Uh I'm pretty sure I was the one who finished it off."

Kota:"Whaaa? Nah. I mean did you see how I was blasting that thing nonstop?!"

(Y/n):"Yeah all while I was hitting it in the back as well. Pretty sure I did more damage here."

Hibari:"Uhh guys?"

Kota/(Y/n):"Yeah Hibari?"

Hibari:"I got readings that another Zygote has entered the area so one more to go."

After that Hibari ended the communication between us, we look at each other and smirk before speaking again."

Kota:"You up for one more Aragami?"

(Y/n):"As long as you can keep up."

Kota:"Alright then buddy let's do this."

"After we look at each other and rush towards the Zygote which only took a few minutes to get to the location once we get there we spot it I don't even give (Y/n) a second and start firing at the Zygote and once (Y/n) got next to me the Zygote had fallen which makes me the winner of this match."

Kota:"Hell yeah! Looks like a win for me!"

(Y/n):"Heh I guess so."

Hibari:"Good work you two. Time to come home now."

Kota:"Right thanks Hibari."

"After that we made it back to base and I couldn't help, but still smile from my little contest, when I just realized I never thought of what to do when I won, until idea came to my head what better way to celebrate a victory is games!"

Kota:"Hey (Y/n) I want to fill in the favor now."

(Y/n):"Okay what is it?"

Kota:"I'll let you know when we get to my room."

"Once we got to the elevator I hit rookie section and once the gates closed we rose until the rookie section wasn't highlighted anymore. After a few seconds the gates opened and we made our way to my room and I didn't waste anytime by bringing out a few consoles and a few games."

(Y/n):"What is all this?"

Kota:"This is the favor I was talking about! We're going to play some games!"

(Y/n):"Games huh..never really played a lot of them.(Kinda curious now what games he has.)"

Kota:"Oh ho my friend. You'll be surprised with all the games I got here."

(Y/n):"Well seeing the cover art from here, yeah definitely interested. Street fighter 3 Alpha? Tekken 6?"

Kota:"Yep! Well we'll start with Street Fighter just to help get you into it."

(Y/n):"Alright."

(Y/n) Pov

"I believe after an hour or more of us playing these game which I have to say are very interesting and fun. We about to switch into a different game until we heard knocking coming from Kota's door."

Kanon:"Hello Kota? Are you in there?"

(Y/n):"(Its Kanon.) I got it."

"I go and open the door which reveals Kanon."

(Y/n):"Hey Kanon."

Kanon:"Hello there (Y/n). Is Kota in here as well?"

Kota:"Yo Kanon! What brings you here?"

Kanon:"Well I was wondering if you could help me with something."

(Y/n):"Yeah sure."

Kota:"Yeah!"

Kanon:"Well could you come with me to my room."

"We both nod and follow her to her room only to notice a plate of oddly designed cookies and some refreshers."

Kanon:"I made some sweets and drinks for us."

(Y/n):"Thank you.*I say as I sit on her couch and take one and take a bite which made my eyes widen.*"

Kota:"Y-you alright buddy?"

(Y/n):"Y-yeah.."

Kanon:"I-Is it not that good?"

(Y/n):"Not that good? Kanon this taste great!"

Kanon:"R-really? T-thanks (Y/n)."

Kota:"*Takes one as well* Mmm! He's right Kanon this stuff rocks!"

Kanon:"Eheh come on guys..it's just cookies. Nothing special."

(Y/n):"Nah..this is some great stuff here Kanon. Thank you."

Kanon:"*Smiles* Your welcome."

Kota:"So Kanon what did you want us to help you with?"

Kanon:"Eh not much just want to know if you guys had anymore tips or advice for battle."

"We help discussed any ideas we had for her. Though we're still newbies at the moment so I don't think our advice can help, or at the very least I think that. After maybe half an hour of hanging out we said our thanks and goodbyes. Now me and Kota were walking back to our rooms."

Kota:"So feel like playing more games?"

(Y/n):"Heh as tempting as that offer sounds I'm good for now. I'm probably going to head out for a mission."

Kota:"Heh alright I'll probably do the same. Well I'll see ya later then buddy!"

(Y/n):"See ya."

"After that I make my way into my room and check my terminal to see if anything has updated, and to my surprise I got a message from Licca."

(Y/n):"Huh..I wonder what she has to say?"

-Message Start- 

Licca(Message):" That shield your using well...compared to the other God Eaters, it hardly has been scratched. Just asking are you even using it? Not that I want you to go out and get it scratched, but make sure to stay on the defensive."

(Y/n):(Message):"Thanks for the info Licca, I'll make sure to stay on the defensive.(Sent)"

-Message End-

(Y/n):"Well I guess one more mission wouldn't hurt right?"

"I left my room and headed for the elevator and hit the lobby button and soon descended down to lobby. After the elevator door opens I make my way to Hibari."

(Y/n):"Yo Hibari got any last minute missions for me?"

Hibari:"Actually yes I do. A mission with Eric and Soma."

(Y/n):"Alright. What type of Aragami are we going to be dealing with?"

Hibari:"You three will be dealing with four Aragami Cocoon Maidens, and Ogretails in the Sunken Grid. Make sure to use the area to divide and lure the Ogretails away from the Cocoon Maiden."

(Y/n):"Right. Thanks Hibari."

Hibari:"No problem. And done your good to go."

(Y/n):"Right."

Hibari:"Oh (Y/n)!"

(Y/n):"Yeah?"

Hibari:"Be careful and don't die out there."

(Y/n):"Don't worry I won't."

"As I make my way to the two figures which I believe is Soma and Eric and see the guy with sun glasses waving his hand and running towards me."

Eric:"Hey! What's up? I assume you're the new star rookie everyone's going on about."

(Y/n):"I guess?(Didn't think being a New Type would be that big of a deal.)"

Eric:"I'm Eric. That's right, Eric der Vogelwied."

(Y/n):"Nice to meet you Eric, the names (Y/n), (L/n). (A bit cocky much?)"

Eric:" Well then (Y/n) I suggest you do your best to emulate me. I've been out defending humankind for a while and I think I know-"

Soma:"Eric look out!"

"As the guy in the blue coat is rushing to Eric i see a Ogretail jump straight towards Eric."

(Y/n):"(Damn it!)* Tries to get Shield out*"

Eric:" Aggghhhh!!"

(Y/n):"*Gets pushed back* (Holy Shit...)"

???:"Don't just stand there, fight!"

"As he says that he kills the Ogretail with one hit, and it fell like it was nothing to him."

(Y/n):"........."

???:"Welcome to this god forsaken place."

(Y/n):"U-uh..."

???:"Soma."

(Y/n):"H-huh?"

Soma:"My name."

(Y/n):"O-oh right well my name is-"

Soma:"Don't bother. Neither of us will be here long."

(Y/n):"......"

Soma:"Well *looks over towards the sight* I hate to be that guy, but death is not so rare out here.."

Soma:"*Points God Arc in front of you*"

(Y/n):"!"

Soma:"Were you surprised? Afraid? If you were I'm not sure what you thought it was going to be."

(Y/n):"I mean I know it's not rare but.."

Soma:"You haven't experience a lot..consider yourself lucky. Come on we've got a mission to do."

(Y/n):"W-Wait! What about..."

Soma:"We can mourn later."

(Y/n):"..........."

Soma:"Here's some tips to stay alive. Never give a breath of quarter, and stay the hell away from me.*Starts walking away*."

(Y/n):"......dammit......"

Eric:"...aaa..hhh..."

(Y/n):"! *Moves the dead Ogretail* Eric!"

Eric:"H..ey..there..rookie..."

(Y/n):"Hang on. I'll contact Hibari and-"

Eric:"*Places his hand on yours* N-no don't...I..probably won't last...much longer..."

(Y/n):"......"

Eric:"Also...don't...hold a hate...on...Soma...he's..experienced...a lot..."

(Y/n):"Okay......"

Eric:"...Hey...rookie..."

(Y/n):"Yeah Eric?"

Eric:"Please....if...you...can...make...sure...she's...safe...."

"Whatever life he had left is now fading fast as his grip on my hand is slowly loosening only for it to fall to the ground as his eyes closes as well. I put his hands together and slowly walk away from his body."

(Y/n):"I'll do what I can...rest in peace..."

"After that I made my way towards Soma. We continued walking until we saw the Cocoon Maidens."

Soma:"I'll take one, you take the other."

(Y/n):"Right."

"As I see Soma go for one of the Cocoon Maidens he dealt with it, like it was nothing as one slash and it was over. I shake myself out of amazement and rush in and start slashing at the Cocoon Maiden it started to shake and I side step as it tried to hit me with its spikes, and while it retracting it's spikes back I took this opportunity and continued hacking away at it until it slumps down, notifying me that it's dead I decided to devour it and after I looked to see Soma waiting on me."

(Y/n):"Where are the Ogretails?"

Soma:"Well if I had to take a guess while you still over there..they must have walked away to a different part of this area."

(Y/n):"...I see.."

Soma:"Come on let's get this over with."

"We make our way to the other side of the Sunken Grid and we see them one of Ogretail is eating some food in the corner while the second Ogretail is walking away from the first."

Soma:"I'll take the one in the corner you take the one that's walking away."

(Y/n):"Okay."

"We leave from our hiding spot, Soma going after his prey while I go after mine as well. As the Ogretail heard my footsteps it turns around only for me to vertically slash at it causing it to stagger a bit, which gave me the opportunity step back and switch from my Longblade to my assualt gun and I don't waste anytime and blast away at the Ogretail which after a few rounds being fired at it falls to the ground."

(Y/n):"Well..I did my part. Time to devour I guess."

"I walk up to the now dead Ogretail and devouring it and retrieving the core. After that I start walking back to Soma who was standing there waiting for me."

Soma:"You'd handle your side?"

(Y/n):Yeah."

"Just then we hear Hibari through our communications."

Hibari:"Enemies down...All Orcale Responses are silent."

(Y/n):"............."

Hibari:"I'm sorry...I should have seen it coming..I..If I had warned you sooner...I.."

Soma:"Enough...."

"After that communications ended leaving us waiting in an awkward silence while waiting for our ride to take us back. Once it got here some people took Eric away, leaving us to head back to base leaving us with more awkward silence. Once we got back to the Lobby I see Kota coming up to me."

Kota:"Yo (Y/n) I- Whoa..did something happen?"

(Y/n):"I...I can't talk right now..sorry..."

"I go to the elevator and hit the button go to rookie section and make my way to my room and lay down on my bed as I now have this weighed on my forever.."
