So last chapter (Y/n) manage to slay his first Aragami! Not only that he also told Kota a little about his life in the Outer Ghetto before becoming a God Eater, only for Kota to tell him that he and his family are also from the Outter Ghetto as well. So now the two God Eaters have made their friendship a bit stronger with their determination to do what they can to make their world peaceful all while try to stay alive.

So with that out of the way let's start this chapter!

Also I do not own anything from the God Eater franchise all of it Characters, Story, etc, all belongs to its respectful company and owner.

3rd Pov

"A couple of hours have passed with (Y/n) training with his God Arc and so far he has been making progress as he now knows how to switch between his God Arcs from melee to gun. He now leaves the training room and heads to his room to relax for a bit before going out and filing a mission to Hibari. He managed to get some sleep in, waking up to look at my clock saying 3:46pm. Thinking to himself he realizes that he got up at 7:00 and finished his training at 9:00 that means 6 hours of sleep."

(Y/n):"*Yawns* Got to make sure not to sleep so late..or at the very least not make it a habit.."

"(Y/n) soon gets out of his bed and starts stretching to help loosen up his muscles though his arms and legs did feel a little sore due to the training, though it was nothing that he couldn't handle. A simple mission at the very least should be enough for him, that way he isn't biting off more than he can chew."

(Y/n):"*Finishes stretching* Alright.
Let's slay some Aragami's."

Beep Beep

Beep Beep

(Y/n):"Hmm? Mail from Kota? Nah we're right next to each other. I wonder who then?"

(Y/n):"Whoa there's a bit let's see Lindow Hibari, Kanon, and Shun. I wonder what they say?"

Hibari(Message):"Hello thank you for undergoing your medical check up the other day. You'll probably be unfamiliar with a few things but if have questions please don't be afraid to ask Tsubaki or Gen. Hope to see you around!"

(Y/n)(Message):"Thanks for the welcome sorry this is a bit late. Sent."

(Y/n):"Now for Lindow."

Lindow(Message):" Hey did great the end. Nah just kidding..Well I'll see you around. Just make sure not to die alright?"

(Y/n)(Message):"Thanks for the support yesterday Lindow hope to have you on future missions! Sent."

(Y/n):"Now to move to today's messages."

Kanon(Message):" Hey it's Kanon! We met in the corridor remember? Sorry if you don't.. Also I might cause trouble, thank you in advance for you support!"

(Y/n):"(What does she mean cause trouble? Ah well no need to worry about it.)"

(Y/n)(Message):"Hey Kanon! Yes I do remember you. Also your welcome for the support. Sent."

(Y/n):"Now one more."

Shun(Message):" Yo New-Type you remember me from yesterday right? Well best remember who's junior and senior here. See ya!"

(Y/n)(Message):"Got it. Hope I can learn from you Shun. See ya!"

(Y/n):"Well I can guess he probably likes to tease the new comers that are new to the Den."

(Y/n) Pov

"After I finished sending the messages and telling myself what I going to do I depart from my room, I make my way towards the elevator and hit the lobby button and soon descend down and after a couple off seconds have passed I come to a stop and a second passes as the elevator soon opens itself up allowing me to leave and soon I walk up to see Lindow come up to me."

(Y/n):"Hey Lindow how's it going?"

Lindow:"Pretty good so far. So (Y/n) how's living here? You getting used to it?"

"I found it quite bizarre that he was asking me that, I mean I literally just started yesterday, but then again maybe me being nervous made him a bit concerned for my mental health and well being, which showed he cared about anyone who's starting off as a God Eaters."

(Y/n):"I'm doing great. Thanks for asking."

Lindow:"That's good to hear. Today I have a mission for you."

(Y/n):"Really? Is going to be with anyone I know?"

Lindow:"Well you seen her once. You'll be with long range specialist Sakuya Tachibana."

(Y/n):"Ohh.(Right I think I know he's talking about.)"

(Y/n):"How long have you two known each other?"

Lindow:"She and I are what you would call frienemies, but she's okay, so no worries. I'll be counting on you."

(Y/n):"Got it."

"We part ways with me walking to Hibari and Tatsumi there again. It makes me feel like he never even left."

(Y/n):"Yo Tatsumi, Hibari."

Tatsumi:"Hey what's up (Y/n)?"

Hibari:"Hey (Y/n)."

(Y/n):"Not much just got up not to long ago. What about you Tatsumi? You've been here this whole time?"

Tatsumi:"Nah just got back from another mission and now trying my luck with Hibari."

(Y/n):"Ohh..Ohhh..! Umm am I interrupting or..?"

Hibari:"*Sighs* No your not. Tatsumi I keep telling you, you can't do this when I'm at work."

Tatsumi:"Okay. Okay well I'll go see what Shun and the others are doing.*Pats your shoulder* Well I'll see you later then (Y/n)."

(Y/n):"Yeah. I can't wait to have missions with you."

Tatsumi:"*Smiles* Thanks."

"After that Tatsumi walks away leaving You and Hibari by yourselves."

(Y/n):"*Rubs the back of your neck* Umm sorry if I actually interrupted anything between you and-"

Hibari:"It's fine. I kinda know that he has a thing for me, heck most of the other God Eaters here knows about how he feels."

(Y/n):"Ohh I see(I guess he's someone who isn't afraid to let his feeling be known.)"

(Y/n):"Anyway I was assigned a mission."

Hibari:"By Lindow. Yeah he told me to hold the mission for you, and to tell you just in case he couldn't get to you, but I guess I don't have to worry about that."

(Y/n):"Yeah. So what type of Aragami's am I slaying?"

Hibari:"Right you'll be taking care of a few Cocoon Maidens in the grasslands with Sakuya to assist you. Lucky you."

(Y/n):"What do you mean?"

Hibari:"I mean you had Lindow to assist you with your first mission now Sakuya too! Well anyway I set you up..and...done. You are now assigned the mission good luck and don't die."

(Y/n):"Right thanks Hibari."

"After having Hibari assign my mission I go straight to the gate and leave the lobby once I reach where our God Arcs are I see a girl who looks a bit older than me typing up something on a terminal only for her to stop staring at the keyboards and look me straight in the eyes and smiles."

???:"Hey there! You must be the New Type right?"

(Y/n):"Uh..yeah my name is (Y/n), (L/n) and what's your name?"

???:"Right my name is Licca Kusunoki I'm a mechanic. I guess in short i make sure everyone's God Arcs are in tip top shape!"

(Y/n):"I see well thank you so much for making sure our God Arcs are functionally well Licca."

Licca:"Aww you don't have thank me for that I'm just doing what like doing. Anyway I got your God Arc up and ready for your mission!"

(Y/n):"Thanks well I'll see ya later then."

- - -Timeskip- - -

I make my way to the woman that's name Sakuya and yeah it is the same woman I saw yesterday. She notices me and then starts to speak."

Sakuya:"Ah, you're that new recruit that was with Lindow yesterday right."

(Y/n):"Uh yes ma'am."

Sakuya:"I'm Sakuya. Sakuya Tachibana. Great to meet you."

(Y/n):"Y-Yeah nice to meet you too."

Sakuya:"Hey are you alright?*She ask while patting your shoulder.* "

(Y/n):"Yes! Yes..um...I'm."

Sakuya:"Nervous?"

(Y/n):"Uh..just a bit.."

Sakuya:"It's alright. This may sound weird but you got to stay relaxed. We can't have freezing up out there."

ROAR!!

Sakuya/(Y/n):"!"

Sakuya:"Alright, lets down to the mission briefing."

Sakuya:"I'll be handling long range back up. So wherever you go, I'll follow you."

(Y/n):"Right. Anything with strategy?"

Sakuya:"If I'm being honest that's as basic as it gets."

(Y/n):"I see.."

Sakuya:"But it's a successful key to success! Especially when teamed up with a long range God Arc like mine."

(Y/n):"Got it."

Sakuya:"Oh and one more thing.."

(Y/n):"Hmmm? What?"

Sakuya:"Try not to run off to far, if you do I can't cover you. So make sure to stay with my sight and God Arc's effective range."

(Y/n):"*Smiles* Right. Thanks Sakuya."

Sakuya:"*Smiles back* No worries, we're a team now you and I. We have to look out for each other."

(Y/n):"Yeah..alright lets go and take out these Aragami's."

Sakuya:"Right!"

"We soon start the mission and were about to start moving until we hear our lovely operator talk through our earpiece."

Hibari:"All units are in position and awaiting to go. Sakuya and (Y/n) are you ready?"

Sakuya:"No problems here Hibari. Let's get in there and win this."

(Y/n):"I'm good to go Hibari. Now lets crush some Aragami heads!"

"After we motivated each other we soon jump from the small cliff and start walking around until we see the Cocoon Maiden just standing their not really moving."

(Y/n):"Umm..Sakuya how come the thing isn't attempting to charge after us?"

Sakuya:"Oh right! This is your first time seeing a Cocoon Maiden."

Sakuya:"They dont move. Actually I don't know if they even can. But if they catch a bead on you they never miss."

(Y/n):"Right."

Sakuya:"So make sure to watch your teammates back and never stop moving."

(Y/n):"Got it Sakuya. So I'll go in and try to attack from the back while you shoot it in the front."

Sakuya:"Okay. Also be careful they can also attack close ranged as well."

(Y/n):"Really?"

Sakuya:"Yes you'll notice once they start to lift up its body, and once they do that's when they attack. So please be careful when going up close."

(Y/n):"*Nods* Thanks for the info Sakuya."

Once we discussed our strategy we initiate our plan with me rushing towards the Cocoon Maiden with opening its front up leaving me a little shocked at what its doing or what it's trying to do."

Sakuya:"(Y/n) watch out!"

"I immediately stop my tracks and backstep using all my leg strength to push myself back as far as I could. Just in the nick of time with the Cocoon Maiden releasing its spikes just as Sakuya said they would."

(Y/n):"Whew..good thing I backed up just in time. Thanks for the Support Sakuya."

Sakuya:"Anytime (Y/n). Be careful the thing will do what it can to hit you whether your close or far."

(Y/n):"Hmmm."

Hibari:"(Y/n) be sure to keep your distance the Maiden's attack can reach pretty far if your not careful. So try to maintain a good distance the minute you see it trying something."

(Y/n):"Yeah."

"I start to circle around the Cocoon Maiden trying to reach its back while yelling at Sakuya to shoot the thing that way it will have somewhat of a hard time trying handle both of us. As Sakuya is shooting it, I manage to get in few strikes behind it, all while hearing some flesh noises being heard as continuing to strike the thing until I see it start to lift itself up giving me the signal the move away from the thing. Once I put some distance away from me and the Cocoon Maiden it releases its spikes all around it and while it was somewhat close to me, I still had some safe space left, after that it started to pull back it's spikes, which gave me an opportunity to switch to my gun type God Arc I yell toward Sakuya once again to fire at the thing again and once I did she started firing at with me following soon after. A few more rounds and the Cocoon Maiden slumped down. I head back to Sakuya just so we aren't away from each other."

(Y/n):"Nice job Sakuya!"

Sakuya:"Same to you. One down one more to go. You good or do you want to take a quick break?"

(Y/n):"I think I'm good for now."

Sakuya:"Alright then let's keep going then."

Sakuya Pov

"After that we started walking again only for the both of us to spot the last Cocoon Maiden. Me and (Y/n) give each other a confirming nod, as we fire off a few rounds towards the Cocoon Maiden although he has to move a little closer since he doesn't have exact equipment like me. After I fire off a couple of more rounds he rushes in, all while switching his God Arc to Melee a Blade p if I remember correctly one of the basic starting weapons, anyway he slash's upward and then delivers the last blow causing parts of the body to fall of on to the ground. I have to say he's not bad, a few faults here and there, but if continues to improve he'll be fine in the future. I start walking up to him as he is now devouring what's left of the Cocoon Maiden he sees me and smiles I couldn't help but do the same."

(Y/n):"Well mission complete. So what did you think of my performance Sakuya?"

Sakuya:"You weren't bad, but I can see you made a few mistakes."

"This made him scratch his head in embarrassment as he realized that he almost rushed to his death until I spoke again."

Sakuya:"But other than that you did well for yourself, I can kinda see why Lindow praised you and your abilities."

(Y/n):"R-really?(Lindow complemented my abilities?! Sheesh I'm not sure what to say?)"

Sakuya:"Yeah from what I've seen so far you can adapt pretty quick on the field, and your not afraid to try new strategies."

(Y/n):"*Turns a little red* I really didn't do anything special..plus you and Hibari gave amazing support. So if anything it's thanks to you two that I was able to adapt to the handle the Aragami."

Sakuya:"(He's very modest.) Well in any case never let go of that."

(Y/n):"*Nods* U-uh yes ma'am."

Hibari:"Congratulations you two,Aragami has been neutralized."

Sakuya/(Y/n):"Thanks Hibari."

Hibari:"Your welcome. Your ride should be here soon, so just hang tight until then."

"Once Hibari ended the communication me and (Y/n) decided to walk back to our mission point while I was giving him some tips and advice with using his God Arc Gun noticing he was using a assault gun. I told him the differences with the gun types and he looked really engaged with the advice I was giving. We continued having small talk until our ride got here and once we got on we talked a bit more until we got back to the den."

Sakuya:"Well that was a good mission, hopefully we'll have more in the future."

(Y/n):"Yeah same here. See ya Sakuya."

Sakuya:"See you later then (Y/n).*I say while waving at him*"

"After that I make my way to the elevator allowing (Y/n) to report the mission that Lindow assigned us."

Sakuya:"He certainly is something else."

"I enter the elevator and hit the Veterans Section and soon rise a few floors before coming to a stop as the door opens and I walk out and see Lindow at the vending machine so I decide to walk to him."

Sakuya:"Hey Lindow."

Lindow:"Ah Sakuya how's it going?"

Sakuya:"I say pretty well so far."

Lindow:"Is that so? Oh speaking of which how was (Y/n) today?"

Sakuya:"It's like you said, he was a natural in the field though he has a bit of faults in a few areas."

Lindow:"Yeah I notice as well. He's a bit stiff before the mission starts, but I'm sure he'll break out of it soon."

Sakuya:"He also came close to his death to."

Lindow:"Seriously?"

Sakuya:"Well I hope I can just chalk it off as a rookies mistake. But other than that he did pretty well."

Lindow:"Hmm. Well I have high hopes for the kid."

Sakuya:"Yeah. Same here."

Lindow:"So with that out of the way, would you like a beer?"

Sakuya:"Mmm..sure why not?"

"After that Lindow tosses me a beer and I catch it and open it up to take just a quick sip out of it as we sit down on the couch and talk for a bit."

(Y/n) Pov

"After Sakuya left on the elevator I made my way to Hibari who was smiling from what I can guess is my safe return from another mission back."

Hibari:"*Smiles* Nice to see you made it back."

(Y/n):"Thanks."

Hibari:"So what are you going to now?"

(Y/n):"Mmm I guess go and eat and I guess call it a day for now. Don't want to overwork myself."

Hibari:"Understandable, well I'll see you later (Y/n)."

(Y/n):"See ya later Hibari."

Timeskip

"I lay down on my bed as I'm now able to rest for today and collect my thoughts on what transpired today. I manage to complete another mission without any problems and I used my Gun Arc for the first time on the battlefield not to mention I had Sakuya tell me some tips and tricks with the Gun Arc and the different types. So all in all I say today was pretty good...oh right then I accepted going on a mission with someone."

Flashback

"I was sitting down peacefully eating my dinner when I saw Kanon come sit next to me with a tray of her own."

Kanon:" Hey (Y/n)!"

(Y/n):"Oh hey Kanon. What's up?"

Kanon:"Oh you know just getting back from a mission and all."

(Y/n):"Oh well that's good to hear.

"We started eating a bit in silence until I look over to see Kanon finished with her food so I decided to break the ice and start a conversation."

(Y/n):"So how did it go? The mission I mean."

Kanon:"Oh I think it went well I would even say there very few misfires today!"

(Y/n):"*Chokes on food*"

Kanon:"*Grabs water bottle and hands it to you* Here you go."

(Y/n):"*Drinks water to clear your throat* T-thanks..*coughs a bit still* W-what do you mean a few *coughs* misfires?"

Kanon:"O-oh well um..im kinda known a bit for accidentally hitting my allies.."

(Y/n):"I see. Well have you been improving?(I would hope so..)"

Kanon:"Yeah!..Well I had a few times where I didn't hit my allies, but I actually manage to have good days where I hit the Aragami instead!"

(Y/n):"I...see..(Oh god I hope she's not thinking of asking that question!)"

Kanon:"So I was wondering.."

(Y/n):"Yeah..?"

Kanon:"If you can go on a mission with me?"

(Y/n):"Uh...well..I.."

Kanon:"Don't worry! I promise you, you won't get hit by my bullets..that much."

(Y/n):"(Dammit!) Uh...sure why not?"

Kanon:"Great! Well I'll see you tomorrow does 10am sound good for you?"

(Y/n):"U-uhh yeah! Sure!"

Kanon:"Great I'll see you then (Y/n)!"

"She left soon afterwards smiling that she's going on a mission with you as she quickly finished,leaving you by yourself on the table realizing you might have put yourself in a bit of danger."

(Y/n):"*Slams head on the table* Why do I have a very terrible feeling that this may go good, or bad for me?"

Flashback End

(Y/n):"Wait....that's why she said she causes trouble in her message. That's why?!"

(Y/n):"*Sighs* Well what's the worst that could happen? Everyone makes mistakes from time to time."

....right?

"I now adjust myself comfortably in my bed and soon allow slumber to take control of me, as I await tomorrow to come."
