The First Meteor Strike: Mena
Mena, a 15 year old girl, stood alone on the dock, thinking about her family. Oh, how she wished she could run into her mother's arms again but they're dead, from the military team called Team 4. Mena watched the sun shine high in the sky, her heart swelling as she thought of her family in heaven. She was about to turn but something caught her eye, she looked up to see a shooting star.
"I wish...They'd come back...For me..." She whispered her wish, sadly. The shooting star didn't dissapear though, it kept flying through the sky. Mena realized it was coming straight at her! Without even realizing what happened, the 15 year old leap to the side. The shooting star past only inches from her nose, her whole body scorching from the fire coming off of it.
It crashed into the base of the dock, causing splinters to fly over 10 feet high. Some hit Mena but most ended up in the sea. She breathed deeply as the shooting star smoked heavily, her heart racing in her curved chest, her skin was still heated.
Sirens sounded close by, meaning Mena wasn't the only one who saw the shooting star. But, wait, this ment it wasn't a shooting star, it was a meteor! Mena brushed off the splinters and raced down the dock. When she reached the broken base she leaped to the other side, it wasn't that hard really. She knew where to go instantly, almost suspiciously.
She ran North, straight, never turning. She had a feeling something was there, something big. But the poor little girl didn't know what.
Mena ran for what felt like hours until she tripped on something, faceplanting on the hard dirt. She coughed and complained to herself, she heard a groan and realized she had tripped on someone not something! Mena sat up quickly, jerking her black kimono.
"H-Hello?" She whispered in slight fear as the sun began to sink under the horizon.
Another groan answered her, "your sitting on my arm..."
"Oh!" Mena jumped up, her nose started to bleed from the sudden change in elevation. "Oh," she wiped the blood away with her fingers, "I'm sorry."
"No," the voice grew to a little more than a groan, "it was my fault."
"Who are you?" She asked the voice, "where are you?"
"I'm Conner," the voice replied, "and I'm right here."
Mena felt warm breath go down her back, "oh no."
Suddenly he held a dagger to her throat, "your so slow."
"I think I noticed that," Mena shot back, she twisted her leg around his, forcing it to bend at the knee.
Conner yelped a little, letting go of the little girl.
"Bye, bye Conner," She laughed menacingly, grabbing his dagger, and running again. The wind drying the rest of the blood on her face.
Mena heard Conner yell something but couldn't tell what. "Just keep running," she told herself, "everything will be fine, just keep running."
WHAM!!!
She crashed into a tree, making her nose bleed again. She sighed, "ugh! Why can't I get anywhere?"
Mena stood slowly, her blood running down her chin and dripping on her kimono. But she didn't care, she just wanted to go home. To hug her father and to kiss her mother's cheek. To realize this was all a horible nightmare, though she knew it wasn't.
She started walking instead, loosing her thoughts to the night, her nose stopped bleeding after awhile. Mena kept walking until her feet ached so much that it hurt to take even a step. She sat down, pulling her legs close to her chest.
The young girl couldn't keep her eyes open for long and soon she was drifting into her dreams.
-
She woke up late the next morning, a rock jabbing into her side. She sat up, groaning, her bones creaking as she stretched.
Mena stood and began walking again, her stomach rumbling and her throat as dry as desert sand. She sighed, her hunger gaining the best of her actions. Soon, she was looking for any food what so ever, and water! She needed water too, really badly.
'I'm gonna starve!' She thought panic rising in her heart, 'seriously!'
After awhile of looking she stopped, she had no luck. Mena felt her growing hunger and she closed her eyes, only to pass out from hunger and dehydration.
-
When she woke up a light was shining on her face and tubes were running liquid into her veins. Mena was terrified at first, realizing that she could be anywhere but she also realized she was alone.
'Thank god,' the 15 year old thought in realief, 'but, where am I?'
She sat up, the tubes tugging at her arms annoyingly. She looked around, the place was illuminated by a dim, blue light above her head, the walls, floor, and ceiling were white, kinda like a docters examine room. Next to the bed was a table with strange tools on it, one looked like a v on the end of a metal bar.
She turned to view the rest of the room, there was a chair that sat next to the far wall, a white cat with silver and gold patches of fur was sitting on the chair, staring at Mena. It's eyes were two different colors, silver and gold, it was creeping Mena out.
Suddenly, the cat jumped off the chair, went to the door, and stuck it's paws under the door.
Curious on what it was doing, Mena watched the cat, which had started clawing the door now. She sat up straight, trying to get a better view.
The door swung open...

How is it so far? I hope I'm doing good! And sorry for the cliff hanger! But I thought it would be good for the first chapter, what do you think? What am I forgetting?
