Everything Goes Down

The sun had already started setting when Lee, Jack and Danny returned to the dairy from their encounter with the crazy woman with the crossbow in the woods. Danny opened the gate and went onto the front yard with Jack following him into it while Lee closed the gate behind himself. Lee and Jack glanced at each other with Lee stoppng next to Jack as. Danny carrying his rifle in one hand with the crazy woman's crossbow hanging from the back of his belt, stopped near the picket fence.

He turned towards them a second later and gave them a grin, "Man, that was a hell of a ride, huh?"

Lee shook his head at Danny as he tossed his rifle to him, "Jesus, Danny."

Danny caught the rifle and looked at Lee with a weirded out look on his face, "What? You're not going soft on 'em, are ya? Not after what they did to your friend."

Jack stepped a bit closer to him, "You didn't have to kill that woman! She could have given us some valuable information regarding the bandits! She clearly was related with them in some way!"

Danny got closer to Jack, giving him a rather odd look, "Oh, I had to kill that woman. I had more reasons to do it than you'd care to realize."

"What?" A small chill ran through Jack's spine at this.

"You're back!" Brenda sat on the steps to her porch, overwatching the Dairy while dinner was cooking. She didn't need to check on the food until it was done, which would be soon enough, so she decided to get some fresh air. Jack let himself forget about Dan as he looked at the middle aged woman, who rose to her feet, "What happened?"

"Handled it, Mama!"Danny looked up at his mom when he gave his answer. He walked over to the tree stump to grab a seat a second later as Lee and Jack glanced at him. Clementine and Duck were no longer over there. In fact, there was nobody from their group around them right now. Lee and Jack turned away from him a second later and went up the hill to the house to have a conversation with Brenda.

Brenda sat back down and let out a sigh, "This isn't what Terry would've wanted..."

"Who's Terry?" Lee asked, having reached Brenda a second faster than Jack.

"My husband." Brenda replied, "Miss him every day."

"Then screw it up for everybody then, why don't you?" Lilly's angered voice rang through their ears. They turned around and saw her and Kenny arguing with each other in front of the gazebo.

"Oh, calm down, princess. We'll do it ourselves." Kenny replied with an angered look on his face as he turned away from Lilly and walked off back to the barn. Lilly watched him leave in disapproval before walking back to the gazebo once he was inside the barn.

"Here we go again..." Jack muttered under his breath again.

"A lotta tension with y'all, huh?" Brenda asked.

"Yeah, you could say that. They don't exactly see eye to eye on how we should be doing things." Lee explained as Jack silently nodded in agreement, paying attention to the fact that Kenny just walked into the barn. This could have meant he had gone to investigate with while he was gone with Lee. He hoped Mark and Travis were helping him with it.

Brenda smiled, "Well, it's probably just the hunger talkin'! Don't worry. We'll get that fixed shortly!"

"Where's everyone?" Jack asked, wanting to be sure if he could go into the barn.

"Most of them are in the barn right now, checking Maybelle." Brenda explained, "Thank your friend Katjaa again for me. That woman is a lifesaver!"

Lee and Jack nodded her, silently letting her know they will do t before walking down the hill into the yard. Lee turned to the barn and saw Clementine staring at him and Jack . She waved at him with a smile before closing the door. Lee pulled out her hat with a smile on his face, knowing how happy she will be to see it again before walking over to the barn with Jack.

Upon reaching the barn, Lee slid the door open and went inside with Jack. The inside of the barn seemed smaller than it looked outside, probably because part of it was sealed off by a wall and a double door. Katjaa, Clementine, Duck and Andy were gathered around a cow as Kenny, Mark and Travis were spread out throughout the barn, acting like they were just checking things out. Jack quickly went to join them, wanting to know what they were doing right now and nodded to himself. If Kenny, Travis and Mark were, then it meant they were checking out the place. Good.

"It's okay, Clem. You can pet her." Katjaa said as Clementine and Duck stared at the cow in interest. Clementine looked over her shoulder at Lee, asking him for his permission.

Lee just smiled and nodded at her, "It's okay, go ahead."

Clementine slowly approacheed Maybelle and patted her, "Whoa..." She turned around to look at Lee a second later, "Katjaa says Maybelle could have her baby tonight!"

"We'll see, Clementine." Katjaa replied, inspecting Maybelle.

A big, concrete block to Duck's right caught Lee's eye. He walked over and inspected it closer, "What's this thing?"

Duck turned to look at him, "Daddy says it's called a salt lick."

"Yeah, but don't lick it," Clementine warned, "It's gross."

Lee grinned at her, "Did you lick that thing?"

She stared blankly at him for a few seconds, "I don't know..."

Lee chuckled at her response before handing her the hat, "Here, Clementine."

"My hat! You found it!" She exclaimed happily as she put it on as Katjaa smiled at the scene, "I knew you'd find it! You said you would!"

"Listen...did you give your hat to anyone?" Lee asked as Katjaa raised her brow at him.

"No." Clementine replied.

"Did you see any strangers around the Motor-inn who might've taken it?" Lee asked her another question.

"No." Clementine shook her head, "Why?"

"It's probably nothing." Lee told her, "Just let me know if you see anything like that."

"Okay. I will." Clementine answered. "Hey Lee, do you think you'll ever have kids?"

"I'd like to someday. Maybe a little girl like you." Lee smiled at her.

"That's nice. You'd be a good daddy." Clementine stated, ""Well... thanks for finding my hat."

"You're welcome Clem." Lee replied. He turned away from her and walked over to Kenny, Mark and Travis who were having a conversation with Jack about their investigation regarding the barn "Hey, guys. What's going on?"

Kenny shifted his attention to him in an instant, "Lee, they're hiding something."

"What are you talking about?" Lee wanted to know..

Travis quickly gave him an explanation, "When you left with Jack and the other brother, I and Mark took a look around the dairy to see if this place was safe for us to stay. Me and Mark were the first people from our group to enter the barn. When we entered it Andy was already inside and he locked the door the second we came in."

"Which is all the more reason we should find out." Mark added, "This could be the reason he didn't want us in here earlier. We have to know for certain, either way."

Jack nodded in understanding and glanced at Kenny, "What about you Ken?"

"I got a quick look inside after Mark and Travis told me." Kenny added, "They got boxes of stuff. And something metal and sharp."

Lee wasn't sure what to think of this, "Don't get paranoid."

"Well, it's my JOB to be paranoid, Lee!" Kenny made sure to keep his voice quiet because of how close Andy was to them right now, "I've got my whole family on this farm right now!"

Mark nodded in agreement, "We've all got friends and family on this Dairy. I know you, Lee, you'll do everything to make sure Clementine is safe. Won't you?"

"You're damn right I will." Lee nodded without hesitation, "No matter what it takes."

"I think they might be into something, Lee." Jack told Lee, "Did you forget what you and Doug told us back when you three were fixing the swing? He tried asking him about checking out the barn and Andy got all defensive and refused it."

Travis pointed at Jack, "See? Would Andy react like this if they weren't hiding something in the barn? We have to find out what's in there as soon as possible."

"Exactly." Kenny agreed, "Now if one of you could find me something to break this lock with we can find out. A rock, a hammer, whatever. I'll need you to back me up if them farmers come running, too."

"Hang on, man." Lee said, "Think this through. You smash the lock. Then what if it turns out you're wrong? You just fucked your chance to get a good meal in those kids you're trying to protect. Use your head, Kenny."

"He's right, Kenny." Mark agreed with Lee, "I never agreed to vandalizing these people's barn."

"Alright, professor. How else do we get in there?" Kenny asked with irritation evident in his voice as Lee looked down at the lock and gave it a good look. Just as Lee gave it a good look, Kenny got an idea on how they can open it. He voiced what he had in mind to the others a second later, "Hey, Lee. You know how ta pick a lock, right?"

Jack gave Kenny a puzzled look, "Why would you think that?"

Kenny had already begun regretting his previous words, "Well. He's... You know... Urban?"

"...Dude." Jack looked at Kenny in disbelief as Mark silently stared at Kenny in disbelief.

Lee looked at Kenny with a shocked look on his face, "Oh, you are NOT saying what I think you're saying."

"I think he means to say you're black." Travis stated.

Lee deadpanned at him, "Yeah. I'm perfectly aware of that."

Jack pinched the bridge of his nose, "Thank god Andre is not here right now..."

Kenny shifted his gaze between all of them, "Jesus, guys! Come on, I'm from Florida! Crazy shit comes out of my mouth now and then. Sorry!"

"We don't use to pick a lock if we want to get into this room." Mark said, having taken a good look at the lock many times by this point, "See those screws? If we can find some kind of screwdriver we could take off the assembly, have a peak inside and then replace it all again as if nothing had even happened."

Jack nodded his head at Mark's plan, "Sounds good to me."

"Alright then." Kenny nodded his head at the plan and shifted his gaze between everyone, "Lee, Jack and Travis. You three will look for a screwdriver while Mark and I keep an eye on that guy with the cow."

Mark looked at him, "We've told you already, Ken, his name is Andy."

"Well I've only known the guy for a few hours." Kenny brushed his concerns off, "I keep getting him confused with Danny. It doesn't really..."

Andy walked over to the group at the end, having noticed how many members of the motor inn group were gathered there right now and wanting to know what was the cause of this gathering, "Can I help you boys find something?"

"Just checking out the barn." Kenny quickly lied, "Never been to a dairy farm before."

"Just don't roam around without me or Danny. The farm can be a dangerous place. You know, the bandits and all. Sorry about your friend." Andy bought Kenny's lie, much to everyone's relief, "Hey, uh... do me a favor. Don't fuck around with this door, okay? Just, you know, Mama gets nervous."

"Andrew!" Katjaa called from where she sat near the cow, "I need your help again."

He walked back to the group near Maybelle, "No problem! Right away, doc!"

Kenny and Mark looked at Lee, Jack and Travis once Andy wasn't looking and nodded at them. Kenny and Mark went to the separate areas of the barn to avoid raising suspicion as Lee, Jack and Travis walked out of the barn through the still open sliding door. Lee waited for Jack and Travis to come out before closing the door. Once they were outside, they saw Larry flirting with Brenda which was something none of them have ever excepted to see from Larry.

"So... how does a woman like yourself run this whole place?" Larry asked, smilling.

Brenda smiled back at him, "Oh I manage just fine. Plus I have my boys to help out. I couldn't do it without 'em."

Jack looked at the sight with a suprised look on his face, "Alright. Nothing else will suprise today..."

Travis crossed his arms, "The geezer maybe actually does have a heart beneath all that there crust."

Lee let out a short laugh, "Who would have known?"

"Let's go." Travis said as he pushed himself into walk again, "I saw a toolbox nearby after me me and Mark followed Andy earlier. We may find the screwdriver there."

"Right behind you." Jack replied in understanding as he followed Travis with Lee. They exchanged glances with each other, thinking how much work Travis was willing to do to prove himself. Neither of them minded it, though. They made their way to the toolbox a second later and Travis opened it up. He began looking for a screwdriver inside it as Lee and Jack kept watch, making sure no one would see from the St. John family would notice Travis looking through their toolbox without their permission.

"Found one yet?" Jack asked after a moment.

"No. But I have something better." Travis replied as he pulled out a multi-tool from inside the toolbox, "Saw my pops use those back home. This'll do the trick." He closed the toolbox back up and began to make his way back to the barn, "Let's get back inside, we've got what we need."

"Wait." Lee quickly said to stop him from reaching the barn, "We can't do this with Andy still inside the barn. We have to get him out."

Travis stopped in his tracks and looked at him. He gave him a nod a second later, "You're right."

The group of three stayed silent for a few moments, trying to figure out a way to lure Andy out of the barn. Hacj looked around himself and his eyes soon rested on the generator. An idea popped into his mind as soon as he set his eyes on the generator.

"Guys." He called out for Lee and Travis and the two people in question glanced at him, "Can you do something about the generator?"

Lee nodded as he crouched down in front of the generator, "Good idea. I'll take care of it. Can you give me the tool Travis?"

"Here you go." Travis wasted no time and handed the multi-tool to Lee.

Lee wasted no time afterwards and quickly used the multi-tool to unscrew two screws on the side panel which allowed him to swing it open like a cabinet. Inside the generator, he saw a working mechanism. He reached the multi-tool in the generator and fiddled around for a few seconds before pulling out the belt. After pulling out the belt, he closed the geneator and turned it off.

Jack, Lee and Travis sneakily walked away from the generator towards the fence as Andy came out the barn and walked towards the generator. He knelt down and used a screwdriver he was keeping in his pocket to open up the generator before taking a good look inside, noticing the belt was missing.

"Aw, fucking thing threw a belt!" Andy shouted in anger, "Damn it to all... son of a... fuck! This'll take forever..."

Lee, Jack and Travis silently watched everything and exchanged glances with each other, knowing it was their cue to go. They walked past him and made their way back into the barn. Kenny and Mark walked over to the doors as soon as Lee, Jack and Travis entered. Lee, Jack and Travis walked across the barn, making their way towards the door. Before they could reach it, the dinner bell rang, letting everyone know that dinner was ready.

Duck quickly got himself on his feet, "Mom! Dad! Dinner time! It's dinner time!"

"Okay, honey. Let's get dad." Katjaa said, getting up from the ground

Duck quickly ran to where Kenny, Lee, Travis, Jack and Mark were congregated, "Dad! C'mon, let's EEAAAAT!"

Katjaa stood up and walked a bit closer to them, "Kenny. Come along, please. Don't make the children wait."

"We'll make an excuse for you guys." Kenny looked at Lee, Mark and Jack, beginning to make his way to his family as Travis followed him. He left the barn with Andy, Katjaa, Duck and Travis a second later, leaving Jack, Lee and Mark alone with the barn door.

Lee, Mark and Jack exchanged glances with each other a second later, knowing they had no time to waste here. Lee unscrewed each screw with the multitool. The lock fell off as soon as the last screw was unscrewed and Jack opened the door. What Lee, Jack and Mark saw inside the back room stunned them beyond words. Inside were various sharp tools, including buzzsaws and bear traps. There was blood smeared all over the room and bathtub.

"...What the fuck is that?" Jack asked as Lee and Mark stared at the room with wide eyes.

"Boy, didn't you hear the bell?" The three of them quickly turned around to face the source of the voice and saw Andy standing behind with a creepy calm smile on his face, "Dinner time."

Mark pointed at the room behind him, "What in god's name are you doing with all this stuff back here?! Why is there so much blood!?"

"Look. We have food here, but Danny and I still gotta do a lot of hunting to keep everyone fed." Andy kept his voice calm as he explained, "When we catch something in the woods, we skin it and dress it back there. Mama doesn't like us to make a mess in the house. So you see? Nothin' to worry about."

Despite not taking this for the whole truth, Lee nodded his head at Andy to show him his group was satisfied with this answer as Jack and Mark let Andy know they were satisfied with their answer in their own ways. He, Jack and Mark walked out of the barn and Andy followed them, leaving the door to the bloodied room open for now

----

Lee, Jack and Mark walked into the house as Andy followed them into it, making sure to lock the door upon entering it. Lee, Jack and Mark took a good look around the house upen entering, finally getting a chance to look around it ever since they were brought into the dairy. Except for the many diploma's and rewards the dairy had won back when the world was normal hanging on the wall, the house didn't stood out from any other houses.

"Brenda, you are an angel!" Larry's voice rang out from the dining room.

"Biscuits, wow!" Duck cheered excitedly as Lilly walked out of the bathroom after washing her hands, sending Lee, Jack and Mark a quick glance before walking into the dining room.

"Excuse the mess. We had to block the back door after a walker got upstairs." Andy said noticing Lee staring at a wardrobe separating a part of the house, "Don't worry, they ain't been inside since."

Andy, Mark and Jack walked into the dining room, taking a seat at the nice sized table. For a group this size it was a bit of a squeeze, but not much else. Andy took his seat between Lilly and Clementine. Mark and Jack followed him towards the table, wanting to take their seat there as they exchanged glances with Travis on their way to the table. From the looks on their faces, Travis could tell whatever they saw in the barn was not pretty.

"Everybody sit down and I'll go get the meal! Oh this is a delight!" Brenda exclaimed excitedly as Lee stopped at the entrance to the dining while he and Mark sat down next to each other and exchanged glances, the images they have seen in the barn flying through their minds.

"I could eat a horse." Kenny exclaimed.

"I'll take the entire ranch." Mark added in order to make himself look natural.

Danny smiled at the the glasses wearing man in a weird manner, "Well you all eat up, we got plenty."

"Thanks?" Mark awkwardly smiled back, having just gotten strange vibes from Danny.

"They're so weird..." Travis muttered under his breath.

Lee took a look around the room and quickly noticed one member of their group was missing, "Where's Doug?"

"Now, don't you worry about him." Brenda replied as a few members of the ground looked at her, wondering the same thing, "Doug is resting upstairs. Don't worry. I've already brought them some food."

"Mind if I wash my hands first?" Lee asked.

Brenda nodded in understanding and explained where the bathroom was to them, "Bathroom's right outside in the hall."

Lee nodded in understanding and turned away from her, intending to do what he was intending to do. He walked out of everyone's view a second later and headed towards the bathroom. He walked into the bathroom and stopped in front of the sink. He ashed his hands in the water a second later, making sure not to waste much time with it. He turned off the sink once he was done with it and set his eyes on the staircase next to him.

Upon laying his eyes on the staircase, Lee quickly noticed the orange wire going up the stairs. Beginning to wonder what it was and knowing it was his chance to check what was upstairs due to the St. Johns being occupied with the dinner. He quietly began to make his way up the stairs. Thankfully, it went unnoticed by everyone in the dining room. Upon reaching the upper floor, Lee walked over to the closet door because it was where the wire was leading him and opened it.

"What do they need so much morphine for?" He asked himself as his eyes immediately noticed a lot of morphine. He knelt down and turned on the power cord, noticing that it went through a hole in the back of the closet and lightened the room beyond.

He got himself into a standing position a second later and made his way to the door to the room next to him, seeing it was the closest room to the lightened the room beyond the bookshelf. He looked around himself a second later, not wasting any time as he knew being gone for too long would raise some suspicions. The room didn't appear shady at all. If Lee was was honest with himself, it looked like a normal living room.

Something caught his attention a second later, though. The area behind the bookshel was lit up. Lee pushed the bookshelf out of the way a second later, wanting to know what was behind it to reveal a door. He wasted no time and opened it a second later. What he was on the other side shocked him. He discovered Doug who was lying on the floor of the bathroom, bleeding everywhere with both his legs severed above the knee. Lee felt how all the air left their lungs upon setting their eyes on Doug and the state he was in.

Doug slowly looked up at him, letting out a weak, "Lee..."

"Doug!" Lee gasped after seeing the state Doug was in, "What the hell happened?"

Doug let out a rasp breath, "...Brothers..."

"What the hell happened to your legs, man?" Lee asked in horror.

Doug let one a deep breath and answered with a final warning, "...Don't...Eat...Dinner."

"Lee? What ya'll doin' out there, did ya fall in?!" Brenda called out for him from the dining room, laughing at her own words, "C'mon, dinner's on the table and everyone's havin' at!"

"How on earth did y'all get barbecue meat?" Larry asked.

"Clementine!" Lee shouted as he got quickly himself on his feet. He ran out of the room and made his way down the stairs, intending to stop Clementine from eating human meat.

"I feel so sorry for Ben and Carley for staying back at the motel." Duck said more than ready to dig into his meal as he was unaware of what he was about to eat. Brenda giggled at Larry's hunger driven enthusiasm, sitting down at his end of the table. Most from the group had already dug into their meal at this point, except for Clementine, Jack and Mark.

Clementine was taking her time to examine her plate before digging in as Mark and Jack exchanged glances before glancing down at their plates. They had no reason yet to think this was anything other than regular barbecue. But, after seeing the inside of the inner barn, neither of them was interested in eating meat yet. So they instead took a bite out of a biscuit first. Lee appeared at the door to the dining room before Jack and Mark could take another bite of their biscuits and saw Clementine who lifted a fork with a meat at the end of it up to her mouth, being seconds away from taking a bite of it.

"DON"T EAT THAT!" He screamed as soon as he set his eyes on her, still shocked from his discovery. Clementine's reaction was instant as she put her fork down.

Kenny looked to him as well, "Lee? Jesus, man! Did you find something?"

"Was there anything up there, Lee?" Jack asked right after noticing the shocked expression on Lee's face.

"Sit your ass down, Lee!" Larry told him. He motioned to Brenda, "This lady has made you a meal."

"You're eating HUMAN MEAT!" Lee informed his group as he decided to go straight to the point. His words got quite a reaction from everyone as nobody agreed with him right away.

"You're scaring the kids, Lee." Kenny said as Mark and Jack exchanged another look with each other before pushing their plates away, having more reasons than everyone to believe Lee than everyone else. Travis noticed this and immediately followed their example.

Lilly couldn't believe the way he was acting, "Lee, what the hell is wrong with you?!"

"Don't indulge him, Lilly." Larry said to his daughter, "It's always something with this guy."

Katjaa looked at Duck who was still diving into his plate. She took her son's plate away from him and set it on her left, "Mom! I was eating that!"

Lilly looked around the room, trying to understand what was happening around him, "What's going on?"

"Go upstairs and look! You'll find a guy with both of his legs hacked off!" Lee said in an attempt of making his group believe him, "This is a dairy, not a ranch! Think about it!"

Everyone looked at each other and shifted their attention to Brenda a second later. The old farm woman sighed, lowering her gaze, "It's true."

"Everything coulda turned out okay for you folks." Danny grumbled, shoving another piece of meat into his mouth.

Andy pointed in the direction of the stairwell, "He woulda' died anyway! We gotta think about LIVIN'!"

"Settle down honey." Brenda told her oldest and faced the group, "Growin' up in rural Georgia, you're taught not to waste. It's how I was raised and how I raised my boys." With every word she said everyone from the motel grew more disturbed, "Now, you got monsters roamin' around that do nothing but eat people. And for what? To continue ta rot 'til they eat some more! We think we can put that meat to better use."

Lilly pushed her plate away from her with a disgusted look on her face, looking like she was seconds away from vomiting out everything she had just eaten, "I'm going to be sick..."

"You're all sick." Mark shook his head with a disgusted look on his face, his eyes set on the old farm woman, "Sick in the fucking head!"

"Now that's not a very nice thing to imply!" Brenda replied as she looked at Mark with an annoyed look on her face, "Andy's right, we go after folks who were gonna die anyways, one way or another."

Danny looked up from his plate, swallowing his last bite of the meat, "Like y'all."

"Kenny get your gun!" Lee screamed as Kenny got up from his chair and was about to grab his gun but never reached it.

Andy pulled out his revolver before Kenny could reach his rifle, though, "Nobody's going anywhere!"

Danny quickly got up from his seat as he grabbed his rifle and pointed it to the whole group. He spoke to all of them while Andy got up from his seat, "We got lot's a use for ya'll right here."

"What the... the fucking... what... fuck..." Larry was too confused and furious to make a proper sentence.

"Put your guns down! We are walking out of here!" Lilly ordered, but it was no use.

Kenny glared at Andy, "Don't go near my fuckin' family!"

"What the fuck?!" Travis exclaimed in both horror and disgust.

Duck looked up at his mother, "I don't want to die. Mommy, what did I eat?!"

"Everyone! Everything will be okay!" Lee shouted, trying to keep himself as calm as he could.

Clementine looked at Lee with a terrified look on her face, "Lee!"

Andy grabbed Clementine's hair and pulled her back, she let out a squeel of pain. Jack pushed himself into run towards Andy as soon as he saw Andy grab Clementine. He never reached them, though as Andy hit him with his pistol just as he was about to reach them, knocking him to the floor.

"Let go off her you son of a bitch!" Lee screamed in rage as he was about to charge towards Andy, but was unable to reach him because Danny put the tip of his rifle against his neck.

The group heard a crash from outside the room and looked in the direction of this noise. It was when Doug crawled his way into everyone's view, pulling himself along the floor with only his hands, "Anyone... Heeeelp...!"

Everyone gasped in horror after seeing the state Doug was in. Even after Lee told them about it, nothing could have prepared them to seeing this with their very own eyes. Doug didn't get to finish his sentence as his arms and head fell to the floor. Lee looked around at the group and saw the look Clementine had on her face. Lee felt horrible after realizing she had seen such a thing and immediately moved towards her.

"Clemen..." He didn't got to finish this sentence as Danny hit him with his rifle, knocking him to the floor.
