I walked up to the door and knocked, I heard a crash and Lilli cuss. Few seconds later, the door swings open. "Barr" she says.
"Hey, what happened?" I ask.
"I was washing dishes when you knocked. I got startled and drop a pan" she replies. I follow her into the kitchen and see a pan and a few plastic cups on the floor, and in the sink was a few other dishes and a lot of bubbles.
"You said you needed to tell me something" I say.
"Uh, yea.. Sit down.. Please" she says. I take a seat, she sits next to me and sighs. "I don't know why I didn't tell you this on our first date.. Well, after I graduated high school early, I had left for college earlier than everyone else. A few others had done the same as well"
"I did that as well" I say. "Not relevant"
She giggled, looking at her hands and than back up to me. "Well, when I moved there, I had moved there with my boyfriend, my now ex. I hadn't told anyone other than my brother and boyfriend that I was 5 months pregnant" she sighs. "We had a daughter.. Ash, Ashley Lilac Harper-James"
Harper? Why does that sound familiar? "So, you have a kid" I say.
"Yea, she's in Metropolis with my brother and his fiancé. They were supposed to bring her when I was officially settled in" she says. "I would understand if this was a deal breaker"
"No.. No! Why would anyone ever break up with someone just because they have a kid?" I say. "I think I just need to take it all in"
"That's fine, Barry. I understand" She says. "If you need to breathe you can take a few hours. I have to write an article about the streak anyway. That might take a while"
"I think I'm going to go take a run, I'll be back in an hour.. Tops" I say. I stand up and lean down, kissing her forehead.

I raced into STAR labs again, stopping in front of the others. Papers go flying and Cait, Cisco, and Felicity's hair blows in fronting their faces.
"Okay, you gotta stop doing that!" Cisco exclaims.
"I have 2 questions. Anything on Tony and do we know a person with the last name Harper?" I ask.
"Nothing on Mr. Woodward" Dr. Wells says.
"Harper? I know Roy Harper.. He's The Arrows sidekick" Felicity said, "Which I did not just tell you"
"Can you search up any medical records for Lilli?" I ask.
"Why?" Joe asks.
"Lilli just told that she has a kid" I say. Everyone freezes except for Felicity who was to invested in typing.
"What!?" Cisco asks.
"Oh yea. Says right here, Ashley Harper-James born June 28th, 2007 to Lillibeth James and... Oh would you look at that! Roy Freakin Harper!" Felicity says. "How did I not see this!? I researched both of them"
"A 7 year old daughter, wow" Caitlin says. "Where is she?"
"In metropolis with Lilli's brother and his fiancé" I reply. "She's going to be coming to Central City when Lilli's all settled"
"Are you ready to be 'mommys new boyfriend'?" Felicity asks.
"Or 'my new step-father'?" Caitlin asks.
"I-I don't know" I say. "I can't believe it"
"Well you better figure it out.. You don't want to be that guy" Cisco says.
"Wh-what guy?" I ask.
"The guy that goes into a kids life as a father figure, and than leaves just as they get use to you" Cisco says. That makes me even more nervous.
"I need to call somebody" I say. "I'll be back later"

"Hello?"
"Hey, dad"
"Barry? Hey"
"I need some advice"
"Okay"
"In high school, you dated a teen mom, right?"
"Yea, I dated her right before I met your mom"
"Well, I just started seeing this girl. She has a daughter with one of my.. Acquaintances"
"Oh? How old?"
"7-years-old. They had her before we knew each other"
"Okay.. Have you met the daughter yet?"
"Nope. She's in Metropolis with her aunt and uncle"
"Well, you should just meet her as a friend of her moms at first. Than eventually you can be introduced as her moms new boyfriend. I don't really know anything else, slugger. Tanya's son was only a year old when I dated her. And that was more than 30 years ago"
"Thanks dad. I'll come visit this week"
"Don't worry about it slugger, I know your a busy man. But when you do, you better bring your new girlfriend along"
"Of course.. I well"
