~Marco's p.o.v.~

We head to class and he just continues to grumble about the gross feeling on his wrist. I continue to laugh at him.

"Tom, seriously it's not that big a deal." I barely get it out from seeing him shiver at trying to wipe it off with his other hand, only for it to spread up his arm and onto his other hand.

"HOW" his eyes and hair glow with flames for a quick seconds then he takes a deep breath and he's normal again. "How do I take this stuff off?" I had taken a step back and he looks at me. "Sorry. It's been a stressful day."

"Yea, I get it. First days are hard. Gimme your schedule." I shuffle through the many papers He was given, and I just laugh. "Okay, after school, Star and I are going to take you shopping. You need serious organization help." I take out his schedule and smile. "Hey! We got everything but first and last together!" I look up and smile.

"Cool! So um. You wanna hang for lunch?" It was probably jut the lights, but his face looked more pink than usual.

"Yea sure! You can sit with Star and I. Then I can introduce you to my other friends!" Although the next voice I herd had me deflate in the good mood I was having.

"Ya mean friends like me Marco?" We turn around and Janna stands there smirking. "Hey new kid." She raises her eyebrows and nods slightly.

"Janna..... give me back my wallet." Tom suddenly turns to me confused.

"Hmmm.... okay."

"With all its contents."

"Dang it.....I change my answer to no." She laughs and walks away waving slightly over her shoulder. "Bye Marco! See ya later new kid!"

"So..... what was that? Who was that? Why does she have your wallet?" Tom turns to me, and luckily I don't have to explain cuz the bell rings.

"Oh look at the time. Got to head to class. And look at this, this is your class. Have fun Tom!" And not like a socially awkward coward, I quickly walked away.

I rush to my first period class with Ms. Skullnick and I slide into my seat next to star just as the bell rings.

"Now class, I'm not feeling up to today, so a pop quiz." The entire class groaned and I found myself groaning too. That's weird. I usually never sweat pop quizzes.

She passes out the papers to every kid in class and I stare at the paper. I feel like it's almost another language. I rub at my eyes as I yawn. Seriously should have gotten more sleep last night.

~Tom's P.O.V.~

He just left me by the door.....

What is up with that?! I have no idea what I'm doing nor what humans learn in school. I silently shuffle into the classroom and grab a seat in the back of the class. It looks like an English class. Boring. I could do all of this in my sleep. So that's what I'm going to do. I'm giving to sleep.

I open my eyes feeling someone nudge my arm. I look up and see the teacher staring down at me.

"Now, I get you're new here but to sleep in class on your first day." He clicks his tongue shaking his head. "Why don't you go to the board and do every problem." I stand up and roll my eyes. I grab a marker and start to fill in all the blanks and putting the proper punctuation in places. I turn back around and look at the class. They look impressed and the teacher looks annoyed.

"Very well, sit back down mr. Lucitor. And this time, do stay awake." I grumble and sit down staring at the board as he erases everything I just did. This is going to be a long day.

~time skip cuz school sucks~

The bell rings and stand up to walk to the door. I now have an even bigger pile of stuff to carry. This teacher gave me a book as thick as my arm. It's takin all my self control to not set it on fire.

I meet up with Marco in the y'all since I don't know where the next class is, but he said we share classes.

"Marco!" I yell down the hall and almost drop my book and papers. Star, of course, is with him and she cracks up.

"Oh wow. Tom! You need serious help. I need to fix you up. After school I-"

"Marco already told me he's taking me out to get a bag and folders." I interrupt her, and her smile fades.

"Of course you can come too star!" Marco smiles and puts an arm around her shoulders. "Best friends day! Come on. What'd ya say?" I fold in my laugh as she glares at the ground. She's giving me a chance for Marco's sake, but still doesn't like how close we're getting so fast.

"Fine. I'll gladly come along." She then looks up and smiles at me. "Friends and only friends!"

"That counts you too star." She glares again and huffs off to class dragging Marco and I follow along behind.

I don't k ow what to expect, but I know one thing is for sure. Star is going to be everywhere while I'm here.
