Marco's p.o.v. ~

We stepped off the bus, and I still felt that sinking feeling in my chest. Star and I were talking the whole time. I don't really understand what's happening.

She started pulling me to our lockers and I look up to see Tom pacing. I just kinda watch him for a while as I'm confused. As some people walk past it looks like he's trying to talk to them. Maybe he lost something.

I start to walk over to him and our eyes meet. For some reason that freezes me to the spot. He smiles and waves and all I can do is stand there like an idiot.

The sinking feeling has left the moment he looked at me. As I watch him come closer I feel the sinking in my chest become replaced by warmth. I've only felt like this one other time. That was when ever Jackie.....

Star taps my shoulder and I suddenly snap out of what ever was happening and run to the closest bathroom.

What is happening?

I put my hands on the sink and look at myself in the mirror. I know it's me but the wide smile on my face looks foreign to me. How long have I been smiling?

I hear someone open the door so I quickly splash some water on my face to calm down so I don't look like an idiot. I look over and see tom worried.

"Hey. Are you okay? You looked fine but then suddenly booked it in here." Making eye contact again sends the warmth from my chest to my face. I haven't felt like this since Jackie.

"Dude, you're face is all red. Are you feeling okay? Should Star take you back home?" He rests his hand on my shoulder and the back of his other on my forehead. "You do feel a little warm. Did you run in here feeling sick?" I shake my head and take a step back, taking in a deep breath.

"I...I'm fine. Just, felt a little faint. I splashed some warm water on my face. That's all."

"Aren't you supposed to do cold water?"

"I felt faint. Just turned on the sink. Wasn't looking." Why does he care so much? We basically just started hanging out. I mentally slap myself as I noticed I was biting my lip. "Look, I'm all good, let's just meet up with Star and get to class." I walk passed him and head to class.

Tom's p.o.v. ~

I'm confused. What did I do? He just looked at me. He was smiling. I thought everything was okay, but the way he brushed me off...

I shrug it off and follow him out. Star was holding his hands and talking to him, he looked very much out of it. She notices I came out and waved. I wave back and sigh.

"See you guys later." I mumble as I head to my English class. I sit down and see Jackie and Janna talking again.

"Hey T fire dude!" Janna smirks and I roll my eyes.

"Hey that nickname is an honor among the initials. Do you have an initial nickname?" Jackie leans back and holds up a fist and I pound it.

"J skate girl is right. You need a name before you can call me that." I sit next to Jackie and Janna looks back and forth between us. She stops then shrugs.

"I like cult stuff. I know all kind of curses, demons, and ghosts.  Could be I dunno, pick something flame boy." We roll our eyes and laugh as the bell rings begging class.

See dad. I can make friends. It's not that hard. Although these are Star's friends. I need to make my own. Where to start?

~time skip cuz I still don't like school~

The bell rings for lunch and I walk into the cafeteria with Jackie and Janna. I sat down with them still lost in conversation. Janna became J klepto chick. She seemed to like it a lot.

Star slides into the seat next to me and Marco sits down next to her. She leans over and looks angry.

"What did you do?"

"What do you mean? I didn't do anything. I'm just sitting here." I gesture to myself and the seat then take a bite of my lunch.

"No. Marco has been out of it since you talked to him in the bathroom. Did you tell him or something? Cuz he won't look at anyone and when he talks, it's barely a mumble." I look around her to him, and reach over to tap his shoulder. His eyes flick in my direction then back to his food and he waves. Not saying a thing.

"I see what you mean." I turn my attention back to star. "But I didn't say anything. I just asked if he was okay cuz he ran off suddenly." I go back to eating my food. "If there's something wrong, I'm sure he'll tell you when he's ready. You are his best friends after all." She nods and smiles.

"Heeey. What you two whispering about?" Janna was resting her chin in her hand staring at us and Jackie was shaking her head.

"Not our problem J klepto. They're whispering so they don't want us to hear." She also looked a little a disappointed. Is making friends this hard.

"We were just discussing when the next royal party would be. I didnt want to be rude so I was whispering." I lied on the spot and Star nods. Janna tho tilts her head, catching onto the lie.

"Why would it be rude tho? It's a party. Parties are fun." She smirks and realize, best to keep her away from mewni and the underworld. Star however came to my rescue.

"Well, it's a royal party. We don't know if we can invite you guys, but we didn't want to make you feel left out." She shrugs and laughs a little. "Guess that backfired huh?" She nudges Marco. "Maybe we're mess up triplets." He just nods staring at his food.

I'm worried. Is star right? Did I do something wrong?
