Tom's p.o.v. ~

Finally.

It's finally Friday, the last day of the school week and a day before my party. One last day to settle this unease between Marco and I.

I need to figure out what I did wrong. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I want to tell him I'm sorry. We were just becoming friends and I ruined it. Not sure how but I need to make it right.

My first task of the day, get him to talk to me. If I need to, I'll even ask star for help, as much as I don't want to. Or maybe Janna would be a better... no. Not asking Janna.

I got out of bed and started my morning routine. Stretching, petting marshmallow, changing clothes, and finally heading for breakfast.

I was too eager to sit and have breakfast with my parents so I just grabbed some waffles and took them with me to school. No syrup but I was nervous. I had to talk to Marco. The sooner the better, so as soon as I got through the portal I waited at the front door of the school for Marco.

Suddenly my knees dropped to the ground. I looked behind me see Janna had kicked me down right behind my knees.

"Wow you crumpled faster than Marco tells me to leave him alone." She was smirking as I stood up.

"Well I wasn't expecting a sneak attack from behind." I brush off pants pretending my knees aren't killing me now. "Why did you do that anyway?" She shrugged. I don't know what I expected. My thoughts were interrupted when her smirk grew.. i don't know... smirkier?

"Safe kid and miss mayor approaching. Want me me help fix your hair" I pushed her away and walked over to greet Star and Marco. She's making fun of me and I don't need to be irritated when Marco sees me for the first time today.

That's is. Just walk up. Say good morning. Ask if I can talk to him for a second. Ask if I did anything wrong and how I can make it up. Yea. Good morning, can I talk with you, did I do something wrong. I got this.

I was relieved to see Marco not wearing his hood on tight as he walked up to school. That means eye contact is possible. Man what's wrong with me. Star was the one to talk first.

"Good morning Tom! I'm so excited for the party tomorrow!!!" Marco nodded and opened his mouth about to speak but my brain, my stupid brain decided I should speak first.

"Good morning. Marco what's wrong with me?" And even the people near by stopped to look at me. If I wasn't basically made of the fires from hell I would have frozen. "I... that's not what I meant to say..." Please. Please let this not be happening.

"Well for starters Tom." Star is smiling. "The first thing wrong with you is, are you purple or pink. I can never tell." Even tho there was a time I thought I loved Star, I have never been so grateful for her existence.

"I mean, I think I'm pink. Just my hair is a vibrant pink it's hard to tell." She and I start laughing and I see Marco smiling too. It's better. Things are so much better. "Also, party is still on, and I was just wondering if you guys were still wanting to come?" I said you guys, but I was mainly looking for any response from Marco.

"Oh yea! This time I'm invited to the party!" Marco laughs and oh my god was his laughter like music to my ears. He's not mad.

"Yea. I mean we're friends now so consider yourself invited to any future parties my castle hosts." My relief was shut down by the chill that ran down my spine following a hand on my shoulder.

"I'm your friend too right? I can come to any party hosted?" Janna raises an eye brow smirking. I brush her hand off my shoulder and she then puts an arm around Star's Shoulder. "Madam Mayor, I can go to any Party hosted by your castle right?"

"Well duh Janna Banana" oh no they have nick names. "Any party of mine, your name is totally on the list." Then they turn their attention to me.

"Hey, no. You're on thin ice and ice melts fast where I'm from. I had to burn your invitation to even go to this one. You're not quite a friend yet." She rolls her eyes and then she and Star head inside.

"Wait, you burned her invitation? What did she do?" I shrug.

"She was annoying. Kept asking about Hell and stuff. I just wanted her to shut up for a few seconds. Jackie's taking her as a plus one so it's fine." He laughs again, but that reminds me. "Do you have a plus one for tomorrow?" This time, he shrugs.

"I might. Still thinking about it." And then the bell rings. "See you at lunch?" I nod and he runs inside.

No plus one yet. Maybe I can get some one on one time with him then. I really hope so.

I go inside before the next bell rings. Nothing can ruin my good mood today.
