Marco's p.o.v. ~

I was running after Tom as he flew down the halls, excited to play table tennis again. Star seemed to just trudge after us. As we reach the door he stops to open it, so I pick up the pace and run in.

"I win! Hah!" I turn and Tom chuckles and star casually walks in.

"Well you only won cuz you cheated. I technically won. I opened the door."

"Oh, and flying doesn't count as cheating?" I cross my arms and sit in his throne, crossing one leg over the other.

"Boys boys, you're both cheaters, let's just play." And so then we both look at her and I sit up as Tom walks closer.

"Says the girl-" I stand up and walk to her other side.

"Who constantly changes the rules of a game half way trough so she wins." Tom laughs and steals her head band putting it on my head. I laugh too and run to the other side of the room as Star chases after me.

"Oh come on. Not fair!" She puffs up her cheeks pouting and crosses her arms. I take off the horns and hand them back her. "Thank you!" She then puts them on and captures me in a hug.

"Alright! Who thinks they can beat me at table tennis?"

"Marco. Let's take this clown." Star tosses me a paddle and holds up another.

"Um. He's a demon, and isn't two against one cheating?"

"I mean so is setting our paddles on fire, so what's the issue?" She shrugs and Tom just smirks and makes his flaming paddle float in the air.

"You guys ready to lose?" He laughs and star and I get ready.

~time Skip Cuz I'm not good at this~

After a long game we end up tying, due to star losing balls and Tom burning paddles. I flop down into a bean bag chair and star flops on top of me.

"Wheeeee"

"Star. Ow!" I shove her off and then Tom decides to join the pile taking her place. "You too? Really?!" I groan in frustrated surrender.

"Hey! So you're gonna pug me off but Tom is fine?"

"Hey, the guy just likes me better!" He laughs and rolls off my lap to sit next to me but in the same bean bag.

"Lucitor, you have your own throne. Why steal Marco's seat?" She puts her hands on her hips frustrated.

"Dude's always wearing a hoodie right?" He turns his head to look at me, I duck down as to not get whacked in the head by horns. "Heh, sorry, but I'm a demon. Gotta keep the boy warm." Star groans.

"Ugh! Why are you like this!" She drags over another bean bag and sits next to me on the other side. "Marco, I advise you run from this guy." But she's smiling now, so I think she means this out of fun instead of overprotection.

"I'm not always cold. I just like the hoodie, and I like the color red. So bought, like, a hundred of them. They're comfy. You should get one some time. Hey! How about after school tomorrow?" He smiles and nods.

"Sure sounds good. Oh. I should probably open a portal for you guys to go back to earth huh? It's getting late." He stands up and opens a fire portal.

"Um. Is that safe? I mean, before we traveled by carriage, this is just straight up flames." It takes him a second but then his face shows complete realization.

"Right." He closes the portal. "Not immune to fire. Gotcha." Star Stands and brushes out her skirt.

"I got this! The scissors from pony head." She smiles and takes out the scissors, opening a portal to my room. "And voila!"

I wave bye to Tom and walk to the portal, but turn last second, "guys."they both look at me curious. "We forgot to do our homework due tomorrow." Star just laughs and pushes me into the portal.

"Bye Tom! See you tomorrow." She then steps into the portal after me. After the portal closes she grabs hold of the front of my sweater and looks up with wide shiny eyes. "Help." I pull her off and chuckle.

"With what?" I take out my phone to check the time and it's almost 11 at night. Sleep is definitely needed before school in the morning.

"Homework! Marcooooo!" She falls to her knees as I take a few steps away from her leaning on me. "Pleeeeaaaaase!" I sigh and fish my homework out out of my bag.

"Come on. Only spending an hour on this, cuz we need sleep." I walk down to the kitchen and I hear her cheer quietly as she rushes to bring her stuff down stairs.

~an hour skip cuz it's summer irl, screw homework~

"And that's time. Night star." I put my things away and start making my way up the stairs, although half way up star calls after me.

"Hey Marco? What exactly do you think of Tom?" She's look up at me from the bottom of the stairs, curiosity and what looks like sadness as she hugs herself. I instantly walk back down the stairs.

"Hey Star, you do know you're my best friend right?" She nods and I hug her. "Even if Tom is becoming my friend, we'll still be best friends. Nothing can replace you" I pull back and smile her. "Can't believe I'm saying this, but, mess up twins?" Her face lights up. Literally, her little hearts glow as she smiles and hugs me tight again.

"Mess up twins!"

And with that, she went to her room and I went to my own room. I kick off my shoes and hang my sweater on the head board of my bed. Flopping face first into my pillow I'm out like a light. All I could think about was the drama of the day was resolved and how much fun the night was. Hopefully Tom was able to finish his homework too.

(Yay I did it! So I apologize, I tend to make the authors notes after I realize it's been a while since I updated my stories and then I typically get motivation to write after that. I feel like this chapter could have been better so I might edit it later down the road before a new chapter)
