Tom's P.O.V.

I knew I was still flaming a little. People were running away. I don't want to be feared. I hate being angry so when I'm angry I just get more angry.

I yell out of frustration and also take it out on a tree. Sorry tree. I sigh and look down at my hands. These stupid hands that cause fear in people. I wish all the anger and fire power could just go away. 

Since I calmed down a bit I decided to go back to the store and apologize to Marco. Star too I guess. I start marching back, but I hear sirens. Sirens are never good. So I decide to take a long way back to the store.

By long way, I mean I ran away and got lost. I finally got back to the store, and saw star down the street at the intersection, so I chase after her until I reach her.

"Star!" She turns and I notice she's alone. "Wait.. where's Marco?" Her eyes widen.

"You mean he never found you? He ran after you, and I had to put everything back since I couldn't buy it. He's mister money bags." This was not good.

"Well, where could he be?"

"I don't know, where did you go?"

"Uh" I turn around and see I actually left Scott hi marks in the pavement from earlier. "That way!" I retrace my footsteps. Literally.

"If anything happened to Marco. I swear Tom, I will do more than just freeze you in a block of ice." I felt a shiver run down my back as she said that.

"I know, I know! But we have to think." I look up as the foot prints stop, and I see the tree now put out.

"Nice Tom. Really nice." Star rolls her eyes and I feel myself heating up again but I try to say calm. I have to stay calm.

For Marco.

Who is now missing cuz you decided to have a hissy for you stupid monster. I actually hit myself in the forehead with my fist in frustration.

"Where could he have gone from here?" I look at Star and she thinks for a second before sprinting away. "Where are you goin?" I chase after her.

"To his house you dummy. Maybe he tried to use my mirror to call you or something." I nod and speed up. Hopefully that's where he is and he's safe.

We get to this small house with a weird mewnian tower sticking out the side. I look at Star.

"And you get mad at me for burning a lone tree? You're causing destruction to private property." She scowls at me and opens the front door. I look in and see an odd couple sitting on the couch.

"Hi Mrs and mr Diaz. Did Marco come home?" She says so casually. I stare at her like she's insane. You don't let people's parents know they're not with you and that you don't know where they are either.

"Oh hey Star. Yes he burst through the door maybe ten minutes ago?" We sigh and Star leads me to his room.

"See. He's safe. Nothing to worry about. Everything is good. See?" She opens his bed room door and walks in. "Marco you had us on such.... an untamed.... bird chase...." she looks back at me then pulls me into his room. "He's not here."

"Where could he have gone?" I stare at her and her eyes widen, she then frantically runs about his room. "Star ship, what are you doing?" She stops and glares at me. "Sorry. Habits burn slowly." She then shoved his mattress off his bed.

"Ah ha!" She turned to me and lifted the bell I gave him. "Here is the culprit to our mystery. Tom. Do the honors?" She gestures to the open space between us and I open a small flaming portal. We walk through and arrive in my room.

"He's not here..." I turn to star. "If they find him, who knows what will happen. As far as the kingdom is concerned, he ruined the once in a lifetime ball. I." I started pacing, panicking a little. I didn't want any harm to come to Marco.

"Tom. Chill! You flaming up again won't solve anything! We just have to look for him. Here. If it makes you feel better, I'll look for him. You look for your father to see if he's been notified alright? I'll meet you in the dungeons if I don't find him in the halls." I sigh and nod, she bolts out the door and down the hall.

I take a deep breath and look at marshmallow (fun fact, Akinator doesn't acknowledge marshmallow's existence). I take him out of his cage and give a few gentle pets to help calm down, then look to make sure no one is in my room and give him a gentle kiss on the top of the head.

"Thanks bud" I whisper as I put him back in his cage then I dash to my parent's room. Sadly, neither my mom nor dad were there. I then go straight to the throne room, and I hear my Dad talking. I can't wait tho. So I burst through the doors.

"Dad! Emergency! So you know Marco, the guy we were talking about last night? Well he's missing and... I think...." I had run up to him and was completely out of breath, only to to feel a hand on my shoulder. I look up the arm that is attached to Marco. I feel my face heat up a little as I just admitted in front of him that I talk about him with my dad. What s up with that?!

"Tom. Are you okay? You left and I chased after you and, dad? Dave is your dad?" His eyes widened as he spoke and he turned to look at my dad.

He however is standing there laughing a little bit. I glare at him and remember why I sometimes hate him. I huff which blows smoke out of my nose causing him to laugh more and Marco chuckles a little, which then makes me smile.

"Yea. This is my dad. King Dave of the Underworld. How'd you meet?" Marco chuckles nervously and scratches the back of his neck, so my dad answers.

"Well, I was about to check on marshmallow cuz you weren't home, and imagine my surprise when I see the human boy who ruined our ball climb through the window." Marco's face went bright red.

"Wait, you were there for that long?! And I've been speaking so informally. I at least call star's parent's king and queen. I'm sorry King Dave." And then I feel scared. A small glint in my father's eyes I did not like.

"No need for such formalities from my future son in law"
