Part Four
Except the prophecy wasn't the exact one Lily had heard before.
A gasp rang around the amphitheatre as Rachel spoke the final two lines before falling backwards. Lily was horrified. What did it mean?
"The journey shall now begin,
So bear forth the seven's kin."
It had to be about the group. There was no other possible explanation. The prophecy said that it was 'the seven's kin'. It was a perfect reference to the Prophecy of Seven.
Lily shot her brother a look. He shook his head furiously. 'No.' He mouthed.
But Lily wouldn't give up. They had to go on the quest, ready or not.

It was the morning after the prophecy had been repeated. Lily was heading into the woods to meet with Thomas for their training session, her sword sheathed at her side, shield strapped to her back. When she reached the spot, Thomas was already there.
"Hey," Lily said as she unsheathed her sword.
"Hey Lils." Thomas replied, also pulling out his sword.
Lily sighed. "Don't call me that."
"Alright then, Wise Fish."
Lily lunged at him and with a simple flick of her wrist, sent Thomas' sword spiralling to the ground. "I said no nicknames."
As fast as lightning, Thomas caught the sword before it hit the ground in his left hand, tossed it to his right and attacked Lily in a frenzy of fast-paced jabs. Lily defended easily, her sword an arc of bronze as she stopped his attacks.
Thomas suddenly feinted to her left and Lily pretended to go to defend, but then whipped her sword back and slammed the butt of it into his hand, causing him to pull back and his sword to go cluttering to the ground.
"Ha! I win." Lily smirked.
Thomas rubbed his hand and sighed. "Okay, you win."
He picked up his sword and walked over to an overturned tree trunk where he sat down. Lily followed him and plonked herself down beside him.
"Hey, what's up?" She asked him worriedly, eyebrows furrowed as he stared off into the distance.
"Nothing, it's just that I'm tired of all this talk about quests and prophecies." Thomas replied.
"Is there something bothering you?" Lily asked.
"Not really." He sighed. "It's just that I'm kind of sitting on the fence, you know. I really want to go out into the mortal world. Battle a few monsters, slay an army, but I also don't want to. Not after all the dreams I've been getting lately..."
"Dreams?" Lily prompted. "What kind of dreams?"
"Usually nightmares. They used to occur about once every so often, but now they've been happening at least three times a week. Always similar to the last one."
"About a quest?"
"Yeah. I'm usually on a big ship sailing through the sea, but I'm sometimes up in the air - though those dreams never end well. You're always there, along with the twins, your brother, Hayley, Noah and Mia."
"Mia? Mia's there?"
"Yeah. Except she always looks really weird. One of her eyes almost seems broken and she's tired all the time."
Lily sprang to her feet. "Do you know what this means?" She asked excitedly.
"No...?" Thomas said, staring up at her in confusion.
"We're going on a quest!"
She began to walk through the trees, eager to get back to Camp, but Thomas was soon quickly beside her, gripping her arm.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Slow down. Who said anything about a quest?"
"It's just like the prophecy!" Lily cried gleefully. "The journey shall now begin; so bear forth the seven's kin!"
"Wait." Thomas said. "You realise that my parents weren't apart of the Seven?"
"Who cares?" Lily asked. "You're still apart of our group!"
The pair hurried off back towards the camp.
