Research (Yunus/Olivia/Willow)

The start of the next week, Amelia found Yunus staring at his desk, walking past the girls who insulted her giving her a good morning, barely waving back at them.

As she closed her eyes, hearing them call her Princess Pouty, she tapped Yunus on his shoulder.

"Hey," trying not to be loud. "Yunus, come on," getting more frustrated. "Wake up," almost raising her voice.

She swayed over to the front of the desk, catching him asleep. However, he started wincing, shaking in his sleep.

Oh no! She covered her hand with her body, using it to caress Yunus until he calmed down.

Must've been a night terror. Why am I so interested in him? Oh, I know.

Amelia stormed into the library, about to head to the head desk to demand books on nightmares, technology, introverts, and technology for dummies when she noticed a fellow girl attempting to lift up several books.

"Hey, hold up!"

The girl in glasses, bangs in front of her long hair turned around as the stack of books began wobbling. Amelia got there just in time to stop them.

"Close call."

The girl's mouth and face embiggened. "A-A-Amelia?!"

"Um, yeah that's me!"

"Wow, the amazing Amelia, top of her class, beautiful from head to toe," shaking.

"Hey, I'm nothing special, and don't topple the books! Follow me!"

The two carried them to a desk.

"I'm so sorry, please, allow me to shake your head."

"Sure," handing it to her as she worshiped it like a celebrity. "I'm not special."

"Don't say that, I never imagined the day that we would speak together! Those at the top should always value themselves."

She sweat from the heat of embarrassment. "Feels like that leads to narcissism."

"Either way, it's an honor. I'm Willow Kennedy."

"Oh, nice to meet you."

"Anyway, I'd like to-"

A male student rushed in. "Will-you help-me-out again with this book staff?"

A female student handed her another stack. "Will-you-help-me return this again?"

Amelia recoiled from the triple stack Willow was carrying.

Will this girl learn they're just using her? "Just tell me where half of these go, and you handle the rest."

"Sure," clapping her hands together, "thank you!"

The two of them hurried up until they were almost done with her instructions.

"How did you remember where all these books go? Must be one heck of a library attendant."

"Not really, I just like to read."

"Huh?"

"I've been coming here every day since freshman year. Then everyone started coming to me when the librarian quit. I guess that makes me in charge then, huh?"

"No one realized that for a year and a half? Why didn't you say something?"

"Because the world's a quiet and cruel place. Reading's becoming popular again thanks to BookTok again, but not everyone's good at it, or even stepped in a library. And since the library in town's kinda far for some people, they only have here to go to," slowly turning that somber smile into something more positive.

"As long as I can make the lives of people easier, we're just one step happier."

Amelia blinked. This girl is too good for this sinful earth!

"So what are you doing here?"

"Um, there's this guy that I'm working with for this secret club, and he's kinda weird. But," lowering her eyes, unable to look at Willow.

"But? Oh, you came here to find a book to help you understand him? Sure, I'd love to help."

Amelia stepped back. This girl's like an angel, seeing illusionary wings flapping behind her the more she smiled.

"Got anything on nightmares, advice on streaming and equipment, and people who suck at talking?"

"You suffer from all those things? But you're talking to me more than most other people would."

I need to give this girl a hug, clutching her heart.

Willow searched around, attempting to find what Amelia was looking for. As she was almost done, people inside the library started screaming. They looked around for the source, spotting a butterfly everyone was trying to smack.

And it drifted, flying straight towards them.

"Duck!" Amelia grabbed Willow underneath her head, flailing a book around to protect themselves. However, the butterfly flew past them.

Their heads turned back, spotting the butterfly resting on Yunus' hand..

"Yunus, what are you doing here?"

"Three reasons. One, the cocoons near the library were starting to blossom. Two, the teacher was asking for your location and I heard your voice in my dreams. And three, I brought flower nectar for them to eat."

Amelia picked Willow up, watching them eat off the flower he had on his hand. Watching him clean off their wings made her heart simmer.

Willow stared up at her face. "Is the person you're talking about Yunus?"

She stuttered. "Huh, heck no! He's just my weird classmate I don't talk to."

Yunus scratched his head, confused, and picked up a book.

"How to make friends and influence people? Willow, can I pick this up?"

"S-sure," handing him it.

"Hey, that's mine. Come on," dragging him back to class. "Thanks Willow!"

"Yeah, no problem."

As she saw them walk away, she sighed in relief.

"For a second there, I thought we were in love with the same person."
