Chapter 1

Y/n's POV
I was one of the few selected to go on this field trip.

Sadly, I had no friends.

I had no one to go with but the popular kids who bribed the school to go on this field trip.

Mostly because only the best kids in the school go.

I've never been here before.

But being a college student who's major is creative writing, this should help me with my book!

So there's one pro.

Also I love nature and should be able to see some wild animals.

Rumor has it that some people who go to this nature hotel resort disappear.

I really don't care though.

I packed for a week, because that's how long the field trip is told to be.

I exited my dorm.

I made my way to the front office where 19 other students were.

That's right.

Only 20 people out of the entire 1,259 students get to go on this field trip.

I stood outside the crowd and slowly followed when we were escorted by a few teachers and chaperones to the bus.

I was the only one in the back since no one wanted to sit next to me.

While sitting in the back I continued reading my book.

"The Murder House"

"By James Patterson and David Ellis"

While reading, someone threw a piece of paper at me.

And another...

And another...

Then another...

I opened the notes that had one word on each page.

"Go To Hell"

I saw the person who threw it at me.

I wrote

"See you there"

On a sticky note and threw it back at her.

She growled and was about to run over to me but was stopped by a teacher who said they shouldn't stand on the bus.

All of the sudden the bus got really bumpy and my book went flying out of the vehicle into the forest.

Everyone laughed.

Then we came to a complete stop.

We were told to grab our bags and that we had to buddy buddy.

Some girls got together while some boys got together and some boy girl.

Of course.

The most popular boy, Tom, was buddied with me.

Meaning...

We share a room.

BLEH!

We were each individually escorted to our rooms.

Me and Tom both got our own key.

We were told to settle in.

It was sorta getting dark so we were taken to a fire pit.

"Alright, friends! We're gonna be doing a lot of fun stuff this week!"

The employee said.

"And that includes...?"

Molly asked annoyed.

Molly is the most popular girl in the school.

"Well all sort of fun out door activities! Camping, hiking, camp fire stories, watching animals, and other fun activities!"

The employee said.

"Now you kids go off to bed! It's dangerous to wander off by yourself outside at night!"

The sun was just starting to set which worried me because I need glasses to see in the dark.

Me and Tom went upstairs to our room and he changed in he bathroom, then I did, when I entered the room he was asleep.

Or at least I think he is.

I walked over to my bag and got out my drawing notebook and a pencil.

I stood on the balcony and set my drawing notebook down on the table outside.

I scanned the area but it was getting darker and blurry so I went back inside and grabbed my glasses.

I started drawing an eye with tears that looked like a waterfall and tree branches as the eye lashes.

I stopped drawing, and left my sketch down and entered back inside to go to the bathroom.

I heard footsteps then nothing.

I exited the bathroom after brushing my teeth and washing my face.

I went back out to the balcony.

My sketch notebook was not where I left it.

I looked over the edge to see it on the ground.

I panicked a little.

I exited the room and quickly and quietly rushed downstairs and outside.

I looked at where my room was at and found the balcony then ran to right underneath it.

Then I started desperately searching for my sketch notebook.

Once I found it I hugged it like it was the only friend I ever had.

Because...

It is.

I sighed with relief.

I looked up to my balcony and growled.

"All of you are the same..."

I mumbled.

I realized my favorite slippers were muddy.

I walked out of the mud and dirt, then took off my slippers and walked back upstairs.

While walking through the hallway, I felt like someone was watching me.

I made it to the door and looked for my key card.

"Ugh! Why am I so stupid?!"

I quietly cursed myself out because I left my keys inside.

I knocked on the door, but heard the sound of giggling and kissing.

The thought of it made me want to throw up.

I sighed sadly.

I went to the end of the hallway and stared out the window.

I looked down at my drawing.

"Why does this world hate me so much?"

I asked my sketch.

I heard the sound of moaning erupt through the hallway.

"Ugh... I'm gonna be sick."

I sat on the ground and rested my head on my knees.

I closed my eyes as a single tear crawled down my cheek.

I felt someone wipe away my tear and say

"Go to sleep, child..."

I saw my book that fell out the window be set down beside me as I passed out and felt my body be lifted up.
