Chapter 9 - The Confrontation
-Chapter 9/10-
~Skys POV~
I wasn't thinking. Hell, I didn't even fully understand anything going on around me.
All I knew was that someone I had grown to care about (and quite deeply, for that matter) was in some serious danger, and there was no way I was going to sit on the sidelines as it happened.
I held the shaking, bruised and beaten boy gently in my arms, making sure I was the fine line between him and his father. I cradled the back of his head in my palm, gently shushing him and letting him bury his head in my shoulder as he cried.
"Who the fuck are you...?" Came a sudden voice from behind me ; the BASTARD that was hurting my poor baby boy.
I mean...what...?
"I'm gonna ask you that." I snapped, still gently rocking Ty back and forth in my warm embrace. "Who are you? Why are you hurting him so badly....?"
The tall being held a hand to his stomach as he laughed loudly, rolling his eyes as he chuckled, as if my question was the most obvious thing ever.
"I laugh at your idiotic question," he stated, a grin skipping across his lips. "It should be fairly clear.." He tilted his head down slightly, letting it have some sort of dark, villainous effect.
"It's because he's a waste of air, and he deserves to die. I will do anything in my power to make that come true, even if it means ending my own life in the process."
The room was dead silent.
"That's...that's stupid."
Tys dad looked as if he had been shot in the chest. He stared at me, eyes wide and completely frozen in time. His fists stayed clenched in angry fists, but they didn't move a single inch. His eyebrows were furrowed, but his eyes showed no emotion.
"W...W...hat?" He stuttered, entire body beginning to shake in insanity. Ty clutched on to me tightly, a soft whimper erupting from the pits of his stomach as I squeezed him tightly, whispering comforting words into his ear.
"Shh, shh, he can't touch you, I'm right here..." I promised gently, rubbing circles on his back and completely ignoring the deadly being.
"What...what the fuck do you mean?!?! STUPID?!?!" He suddenly erupted, flying forward and grabbing my wrist tightly, squeezing it in between his fingers until the skin turned white.
"Yes. Stupid. Idiotic. Giving your life away for something so useless and fleeting. You threw away your entire existence, man. You were so blinded by your mistakes, back with Ty, that you didn't realize how many paths were in front of you. When you chose this one, the rest fell dark. You lost them in your anger and stupidity. And you can't get them back now."
The man stuttered, clutching his chest and beginning to teeter back. I held Ty tightly in my arms, softly cradling him as his father fell back, right through the door and slamming his back against the wall in the hallway.
Immediately, I jumped up, leaving a shaking Ty on the bed and slamming the door shut. I locked it, dragging over my desk and placing it in the way. Grabbing the phone off of the reciever on my bedside table, I dialed 911, watching back to Ty and gently hugging him into my chest.
"Hello?" The person on the other end asked.
"Yes, hello. There's a psycho in my house ; the missing dad of the famous star. His son ran away, and he hid here. He's come to find him, and now he's trying to kill him."
"Address?" The woman's voice was set in stone, stoic and serious as she spoke. She was obviously used to terrible tragedies, blubbering people and sobbing messes.
I quickly recited the address of my home, saying goodbye afterwards and paying full attention to the shaking and shuddering boy in my arms. I brushed some golden hair out of his eyes, pressing a kiss to his forehead and pressing him into my chest.
"Shh..." I cooed. "You're safe Ty...I've got you, I won't let you go and he won't get you, I promise..."
"FUCKING FAGGOT!" Arms slammed against the door, his angry voice ripping through the comforting tone in the room and making Ty shake even more violently. "GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE!"
"A...Adam..." The precious baby boy whispered, burying his head into my neck as I felt his tears dripping down my collar bone. I reached up, gently rubbing circles on his back. "Don't you worry...I've got you, I promise..."
"Sir!" A sudden voice screamed from the other side of the door, and I pulled a warm blanket around us as the banging of cops and medical officers echoed through the hall.
Tys dad let out screeches and screams of bloody murder, and I could almost hear his eyes beginning to blaze in anger.
I heard the shifting, and the young, gentle voice of a woman echoed through from the other side of my wooden door. "Excuse me, sirs? We've restrained him. Could you please unlock the door?"
Giving Ty a final, reassuring squeeze, I rose to my feet, knowing his were shaking too hard to even be slightly functional. I grunted, pushing the large piece of furniture out of the way, glad I had used something so sturdy.
The woman grinned at me, peering in and frowning in Tys direction. "We'll get him a shock blanket." A medical expert next to her nodded, running off. "Until then, I would suggest trying to comfort him yourself, it seems to have been wor-"
"WAIT! CATCH HIM!"
My hand flew forward to grab the father, but I missed, fingers scraping his elbow and not getting a good grip.
I watched in defenseless horror as he raced over to the bed, catching a screaming Ty and grabbing him from the collar....
And slamming his head straight into the wall behind him.
Ty crumpled into a ball.
