Chapter 13 - Beach Day
-Chapter 13-
~Sky's POV~
Within moments, Ty had burst into uncontrollable tears. They leaked down his porcelain face, his eyes clenching shut as he squeezed the letter and money tightly in his balled fists.
"Ty..." I whispered softly, sadly, approaching him and wrapping him softly in my arms. He let out a choked sob, and I could feel his cold tears dripping through my shirt. He hugged back, his arms squeezing me tightly.
"Shh..." I mumbled, leaning down and burying my head into his chestnut hair. I didn't know if he was crying from the letter, or the money ; from sadness, or from pure happiness...
Or, possibly, both at once.
"I miss her so much, Adam..." His response came, his grip tightening even further around my waist. I shifted us, so we were on the bed, my arms around him in a protective way as he continued to softly cry. "I want her back, I want her back so bad..."
"I know, I know..." I tried my best to calm his sumersaulting nerves, reaching behind him and rubbing comfortable circles on his back. "It's okay, Ty...I know it doesn't seem like it, but it is."
Ty let out a loud sniffle, but I felt him nod against my back before pulling away, the crinkling of the money in his sweaty palms echoing through the room. He grinned down at the money softly, reaching up and tucking back some of his hanging hair.
"It's so much..." He mumbled, going through the large stack of money, about five thousand in one hundred dollar bills. The rest was in a check, which was tucked securely in the small manilla envelope.
I chuckled at Tys excitement, leaning over and gently kissing his temple. An idea popped into my head, and I couldn't help but grin widely and squeeze his small body a little bit closer to mine.
"How about a little celebration?" I prompted, reaching up and running a hand through his fluffy hair.
His eyes lit up as he looked up, an open smile dancing across his face. "I'd love that!" He cried, throwing his arms around my neck and squeezing me tightly. "Where can we go?"
I grinned, before getting up unexpectedly, causing a squeal of surprise to rip out of the others throat. His arms tightened around me as I scooped him up, hating how light he was in my embrace.
"It's a surprise." I said, before making my face look stern and orderly, which just made him giggle. "Close your eyes and don't look. That's an order."
Still chuckling softly, the other agreed, placing his hands over his eyes and taking soft breaths. He snuggled up to me, his head tucking into my neck. I chuckled, his hot breaths causing goosebumps to shoot up and down my arms.
I began to walk, holding him close to make sure he wouldn't get scared of how high up he was. I leaned down, pressing a kiss to his forehead, before noticing he had drifted off to sleep, cuddled into my arms.
I giggled softly, laying him in the front seat of the car and, as I buckled him in, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "Sweet dreams, baby." I brushed some hair out of his eyes. "I'll wake you up when we get there."

~Tys POV~
I awoke to Adams hand on my shoulder, gently shaking me awake. My eyes fluttered open, and I stretched my arms, letting out a soft yawn.
When I looked around, I realized I was snuggled into the seat of Adams car, the keys out of the engine and the world around me silent. I looked back at him, only to be cut off with a kiss to the lips.
"I thought you could sleep." He grinned softly, holding out his hand, awaiting for me to take it. I did, our fingers intertwining instinctively as he pulled me up. "I'm happy you didn't wake up until now."
I laughed softly, reaching up on my tip-toes and kissing his nose delicately. "Thank you." I whispered, keeping my eyes trained on his. "Can I look around now?"
Adam giggled at me, leaning forward and kissing my forehead. "Yes. You can look around you now."
Excitedly, my head shot up, and my eyes darted everywhere.
Then, my heart fell.
"O-Oh..." I whispered softly, and I felt Adams fingers squeezing mine worriedly, his face filled with concern at my less-than-happy respons at where we were.
"What's wrong?!" He asked, eyes looking everywhere. "Don't you like it? I thought the beach would've been perfect-"
"No, no." I grinned softly, my worry beginning to fade away. "It's not that! It's just that...uh..." I reached back, guiltily rubbing the back of my neck.
"Don't worry, Ty." My lover gently rubbed circles on the back of my hand, making my nerves begin to calm.
"I...I don't know how to swim, Adam."
Silence.
That's what I was met with.
I grimaced, looking away and biting my tongue roughly, not wanting to hear his probably judgemental answer.
"...Okay." A hand suddenly hooked around my waist, hefting me up and causing me to cry out in surprise and fright. I was quickly repositioned so Adam was holding me in the bridal style.
"W-What are you doing?!" I gapped up at him.
"I'm teaching you how to swim!" He giggled loudly, but his words shocked me to the bottom of my stomach.
"W-Wait!" My words weren't hurt as Adam laughed loudly, dashing towards the water with me in his hold.

"IM SCARED, ADAM!"
"Ty, you're fine! Just hold my hand, and paddle your legs...yeah! Just like that! Keep going, you're doing great!"
I closed my eyes tightly, and continued to pump my legs up and down, squeezing in to Adams hand like it was my entire life line. He squeezed back, understanding how nervous I was.
His arms hooked around my waist once he realized I was getting tired, and he pulled me up to his body, making sure I was attached to his torso, since our legs couldn't touch the bottom of the lake here.
Together, we gazed up at the setting sun, the sky exploding with beautiful colors and kisses of red and orange. I laid my head against his chest, closing my eyes and letting out a happy sigh.
I felt lips pressing against my head, and I looked up, and grinned at Adam, who sent it back. "You don't know how to swim quite yet, but you'll learn quick." He pecked my lips. "Don't you worry, I'll teach you until you're a pro." I laughed at his words.
And, at that moment, I knew things would be okay, in the end, as long as Adam was right next to me. He would make things okay.
I knew it.
-A/N-
Okay so quick note once I finished this after 3 hours of working on it I realized that this is set in the winter and they're swimming at a beach so shhhhhhh just forget about that climate doesn't matter.
