Sam (SamMariLu), the original founder of the community, was restless and bored during quarntine, so she decided to start her own awards. The 2020 Rose Gold Awards was a huge success! After hosting and judging the entire awards by herself, Sam realized it was too much work to be done alone.

She changed the awards account into a community account and the Rose Gold Community began on November 15th, 2020.

The Rose Gold Community has grown beyond our annual awards. We now have many shops that offer a variety of services to Wattpad members. Check out our amazing members' work!

When Sam left the Rose Gold Community in August of 2023 to focus on college and pursue her dreams, she passed the founder role to Holly (lantea-). Holly hopes to continue to grow the Rose Gold Community.
