illustration drafts for the print book
Update: Nov 27, 2021:
The print-on-demand paperback version of Fiddle and Fjell is now live on Amazon!

Eventually I might make a Kindle ebook version, and a web version for my site. But I rushed the paperback, intended as Christmas gifts for my family and extended family. My author copies might or might not arrive in time to get mailed out again and arrive before Yule.
I'm not planning on promoting Fiddle and Fjell for sale since it's of limited interest to anyone other than family, but if reading it here got you hooked, it's only $10 /£7.50 (plus tax & shipping).

Here are a few more examples out of the 30 illustrations in the book:

Oct 13, 2021:
I've only done two illustrations so far, and they may need to be darkened. This is my own line art, working from photos I took in Telemark in 2006.
First, a view down from Homme's Crest at Sundkilen, an inlet from Kviteseid-vatn (the lake showing glimpses in the distance). The present-day town of Kviteseid lies at the near shore of Sundkilen. Beyond the inlet and to the right is the peninsula of Kviteseid. "Eid" means isthmus or peninsula. "Kvite" means bright.
At the bottom right of this sketch of Sundkilen, the inlet stabs inland. This is where Dalaåi creek spills out from the long valley of The Dales.
Second illustration, a common denizen of the area.
