Leaders of The Untamed/Rebellion
Dystopian AU
(I think I'm going to try to do these forms in an interview sorta thing. I'm just trying it out for now though, I feel like it can describe the characters a little better than the script syle I usually do.)
Names: "Like hell we're going to tell you our real names." The two say in unison. (Um... I think it's required, you guys.) The girl crosses her legs. "Be grateful we even agreed to this interview." She hissed. (Okay, okay, jeez...)
The boy beside her only smirked. "Call me Pierce. This little damsel over here is Sapphire." He said, pointing his thumb over to the ash haired girl. Sapphire glared at him. "Shut your fucking mouth. Who're you calling a damsel?" She growled. Pierce raised his hands up in surrender, chuckling. "She's got quite the vocabulary, if you can see." He looked directly into the viewer's eyes. "By the way, those are just aliases. You'll have to earn your way to the top if you even want a hint of knowing our real names." He said, giving the viewer a wink.
Age: Pierce shrugged. "22." He looked over to Sapphire who huffed. "17." (Wow, you guys are young...) "Got a problem with that?" Sapphire raised an eyebrow. (Nope! Moving on.)
Gender: Pierce scrunched up his brows. "Is that a necessary question?" (Well, I mean yeah. It's on the format, all you have to do is just answer it.) "You've been referring to us as a girl and a boy this entire time." Sapphire rolled her eyes. (Right, right, sorry.)
Species: "Human? Obviously? These questions are so ignorant. Why did we even agree to this?" Sapphire turned to her brother, an annoyed expression on her face. Pierce sighed. "I'm afraid she has a point. Get on with the actual questions, we don't want to waste anymore of our time. We're quite busy people." He said. (Alright then...)
Sexuality: Pierce tensed up. "My sister is too young for that sort of--" "Bisexual." Sapphire replied, no hint of jest in her tone. Pierce stared at her. "You're bisexual? No-- most importantly, you have emotions?" Sapphire sighed in irritation. "I don't have the time for relationships right now. Maintaining the rebellion is our first priority, and a partner would only be a pesky waste of time. You know that, Pierce." She said.
Pierce blinked. "Yes, but... you're bisexual. How come you've never told me about this?"
Sapphire shrugged. "I suppose if all of this apocalyptic nonsense would be over, and I'd get to live a..." She tries keep herself from rolling her eyes as she says, "Quiet, peaceful life, then I wouldn't really care about the gender of my spouse. As long as they reach my standards, then that's good enough for me."
"You're seventeen."
"I answered the question, didn't I?"
Pierce chuckled. "I, however, am in fact straight. I'm quite the gentleman with the females in our little association, wouldn't you say?" Pierce smirked, turning to Sapphire. "I'd rather not." She said in a flat tone. (That was interesting.. so, um, next question.)
Looks: Pierce handed over two photographs of him and Sapphire. "Unfortunately for my photo, I had just recently come back from a mission. Tired, and eager to rest. Which explains the blood-- hey, why are you backing away?"
Sapphire looked at her photo and shrugged. "Some of the members forced me into doing that. And if I had to be honest, the petals in the background show a nice touch."
Pierce's eyes widened. "You're actually showing interest?"
Sapphire scoffed. "Stop being so surprised, dumbass. You're one of the people who forced me."
(Speaking of looks, I've never actually asked. What happened to your eye?)
Sapphire tensed, and Pierce whistled. "Whoo, that is a very dangerous line to cross. Props to you, Author."
Sapphire stared at the author with uttermost hatred. "You do not want to know. Now drop it." (H-Hai. I guess you guys will have to find out yourselves...)
Personality: "Well, for starters, I can say that I'm a pretty chill guy. I like to mingle with the other members, have a few drinks with my comrades from time to time, and flirt with the female members as well." He said, winking at Author chan who just rolled her eyes. "Even so, I can say, however, that I take missions seriously. I can confirm that I can do the job quickly and with no hesitation. Man, woman, children... every one of them is equal in the tip of my blade."
Sapphire thought for a moment. "I don't like people who mess with the rebellion. Mainly, the government. As leader of the new nation, I'm not exactly the type of person you should be comfortable around with. I hate weakness. Despite the people in our community being friendly, I can assure you that NONE of them are afraid to kill a man. Both children and elderly. They're all trained specifically to kill, and to rid of the polluted government that started this dystopian war in the first fucking place."
Pierce chuckled. "You forgot to mention how you get giddy if it's snowing out."
Within a second of saying that, Sapphire's blade was immediately pointed to Pierce's throat. "Say that again. I dare you." She hissed. The author, needless to say, panicked. (U-Um! No need to fight please, this is a no violence zone!)
Pierce didn't react, and only smiled. "You heard her."
Sapphire lowered her blade with a scowl on her face. "Dumbass."
(Okay.. now that that's over...)
Likes: "I can approve of a person who has passion." She says. "A person who does not give up, no matter how much pain they have to go through. A person that will keep fighting to be stronger, and to help achieve our goals. Those are the type of people that I can approve of, but not completely. Of course, they also have to prove their wits, my comrades as an example. I like people who show respect. I don't care who you are or where you came from, if I want you to show me respect then believe me," She paused, then looked up, shadows casting under her eye. "I'm going to force you to, like it or not."
"I'm also fond of caramel coffee, if that counts. I like sweets. Sweets are probably the only thing I can tolerate in this world." She said, leaning back on her seat. "Also... I respect my brother. He deserves all of my respect, that's all I have to say about that." Pierce smiled. "No need to be all gloomy. Aren't you forgetting something?" Sapphire growled. "No."
Pierce continued pushing. "Aaaaaaaand?"
"Fine. If it'll make you shut up." She took a deep breath. "Snow. I like the snow. There's just something about the weather that I can relate to. Whether it'd be the cold, freezing air, or the harsh blizzards. There's no inbetween. You can say it's my preferred season." (Noted. And you, Pierce?)
"Hm... as I said earlier, I like talking with my friends in the rebellion. Conversing with people helps me keep my sanity in this discord of events, you can say that at least." He says, laughing humorlessly.
"I like rain... yeah, when it's raining, it's when I find myself truly concentrated and focused. It's been an unknown habit of mine for quite sometime." He said. "I like people who can make me laugh, it's like a ray of sunshine in a dark abyss. It's refreshing." He said. "I love doing my job." He said, a dark smile on his lips as shadows casted under his eyes. "Ridding this world of filth has always been my goal in the first place. I'm not giving that up for anything else."
"But most of all..." He took a deep breath. "My sister. She's the most important person to me, and she's the only one I genuinely care about. You don't need to find out why, and I'm leaving it at that."
Dislikes: "Cowards." Sapphire answered immediately. "Fearful cowards who have no will to defend themselves, and no yearning to fight for what's right. Those people irritate me. If you don't want to defend the people who built this world to your comfort, then you're not needed here. If you can't fight your way through this world, then you don't deserve to be here." She says, her bright electric blue eye darkening. "I despise the government. Those good for nothing, sons of bitches that became greedy over money, and began robbing the people of their homes and lives. Those pigs deserve to rot in a place far worse than hell for what they've done to this country." She said, her voice dripping with venom. The author blinks in shock.
A few seconds of silence pass, and then, "Also, I hate herbal tea. It's disgusting." The author laughs and tries to shake off the chill she felt earlier. (Haha, okay, noted. Pierce?)
Pierce smiled. "Earlier, I might have said that I like talking with other people. And I do, but...." His eyes turned dark, but his smile widened. "I especially hate people who don't know when to shut the fuck up." He sat up, still smiling. "People who don't know when to mind their own buisness. Annoying, loud pieces of shit that will keep poking their noses in places where they don't fucking belong."
"I hate people who brag, but can't prove themselves if cornered. Lowly, egotistical fucks that say they're strong, but don't actually have the evidence to prove it. And same as my sister, we both have the same opinion of the government. Lying fucktards that only care about themselves." Author tries to keep her nerves still as she looked at the last question. (Okay, um....)
Backstory: Sapphire immediately stood up. "Let's go, Pierce. We've wasted enough time here." She said. Pierce, losing the charming demeanor that he kept up earlier, also agreed. "We'll be going now. Let's meet again, shall we?" He said, as Sapphire opened the door and walked out with him following behind.
(Well... they completely ignored my question, but it says here that...)
'Sapphire and Pierce were abandoned as children. At the time, they used to be cared for by their parents, but when they found out they couldn't support the two, they left them in the streets to rot. Pierce, as the older sibling, did everything he could to protect his sister and sustain her needs. He tried his hardest not to get her sick or injured, even if he had to sacrifice himself for it.
He had to beg on the sidewalk as rain poured down on him, but in his mind he was only saying that 'Little sister is safe. She's okay, I'm doing this for her.' That was the only thing keeping him going.
None of the wealthy people striding down the road were generous enough to spare a few change. He'd get a few coins here and there, but that was it. Of course, he'd spend it on his sister, since he could last just a few days without food or water just to keep being strong.
Suddenly one day, a middle aged woman took pity on the boy and his sister. Pierce could still very much remember the first words she had said to him, "Honey, take your sister and stand up. I'm taking you home."
Home. The sound of the word was so foreign to him, but he knew very well what it meant. He and his sister would have a home, a place to live in. So of course, he agreed.
A few months had passed inside the lady's house. Pierce and Sapphire were both always dressed, cleaned, and fully fed. Pierce couldn't be more grateful towards her.
As the days passed by, Pierce noticed that the woman had been a little more quiet lately. She was staying late, drinking, and crying often. He was concerned, so he wanted to ask her what was wrong. The woman only smiled, and responded with, "It's about the government, sweetheart. You're too young to understand."
Pierce hated that he was too young. He wanted to help, and yet he couldn't just because he was too young.
That fact became all the more clear, when Pierce came home from buying groceries, to a crying Sapphire, and a dead woman in the kitchen.
Horrified, he picked up Sapphire and held her tightly, trying to calm her down. "N..Nii-San... they.. they killed mommy..."
Those few words made him snap.
He looked at the note on the table.
With the government's crest, the note read:
Name: Carla Anderson
Age: 36
Status: Executed
Crushing the note in his hand, he began to cry. Why was she killed? What the hell did she do to deserve death? He felt his younger sister's small, frail arms wrap themselves on his neck. "Nii-san... please don't cry."
He hugged his sister once more. "We're going to get through this, okay?" He said, kissing her forehead. "Just hang tight."
(And it ends there... I guess if you wanna know what happened afterwards, including how they became the leaders of the rebellion, then you'll have to find out...)

(I have no idea if I can fully absorb these two characters into roleplaying, so I was hoping you and I could give it a shot for a bit? I need your help on this one, as a test roleplay. Also, future OC'S that I'm going to post will be related to this AU, and could be characters if you're still up for it.)
