So I've had this idea for a fan-made fighting game, kinda like Pokken tournament. It'd have to be a 8-bit, maybe 16-bit animation. I don't know the difference between 8-bit and 16-bit animations other than the 16-bit ones are better detailed.
If anyone out there is into making fan-made games or knows someone who does, hook me up with them. Seriously, this idea of mine needs to get out there.

Ok, so here's the game as I have figured it so far.

Backstory: Your a person who was an orphan for most of their childhood, and when you did get into a family, you were abused. You always took comfort in the shadows, better to hide in, better to be alone. The only "person" that you felt you trusted was a creature known for it's dark reputation, but you always felt you understood them(the creature your in-game avatar trusts depends on who you finally decided to be your partner. I'll explain more later). Unfortunately, the world as you know it has grown hateful of creatures with dark reputations, their all evil as far as their concerned. One place, however, has not only accepted these dark creatures, but has made a magical fighting lifestyle surrounding them. You decided to take your place in this "shadow game" as everyone calls it. After meeting your potential instructor, she tells you to pick one of four starter Dark Partners, each a master of their respective category. These are the starters and their category.

Anti-Sora- A mutated Heartless who took the form of the Keyblade wielder Sora, or as he calls Keyblade wielders,"Heartless hunters." Anti knows many magical powers from his world, and is known for his animal fighting  style. He fights to prove the Heartlesses' worth in the universe. Category- Power
Shadow Six- They say big things come in small packages, and Shadow Six is the biggest powerhouse in the smallest of packages. First discovered in a world plunged in ruin, she actually chose to take the defensive. Shadow Six is masterful in dark magic and has control over all crows and ravens in the immediate area, a power she says she got from her father. She also has a extreme love for music and is not afraid to sing a song related to her current situation. Don't let this fool you, or you'll find yourself in her bottomless stomach...Category- Defense 
Wraithslicer- Who else to fight then a creature from a world at war? Wraithslicer is an undead skeletal dragon of the fire element in his world. He belongs to a group called Pariah, a group of undead and demonic creatures. Wraithslicer is actually blind, leaving his other senses to compensate. They say he can smell the very fear of a human from miles away. He uses magic to help him fly despite being a skeleton. Category- Tactics 
Sonic.exe- A creature whose reputation far exceeds him. At first glance he seems exactly like Sonic the hedgehog, but then you'll notice his dark blue fur, plus the obvious teeth and blood dredged eyes. He is a bit of a show off and somewhat jerkish, but he's actually a pretty good guy to hang out with... As long as your not hunting down him or his allies, the Creepypastas. Category- Speed

After choosing your starter "Dark Partner," you are fortunate enough to meet your chosen starter fighter, which is a sign of who much you are trusted by them, then they give you a magic crystal which allows you to summon a copy of them to fight others in their image. You must fight at least one battle with your new partner before you can change them to someone else. The higher in rank you go, the more potential partners you have access to, such as Feral Imp, Bass, Dark Spyro, etc. You also have the option to fight special beings that were to big or powerful to be partners, such as Ridley, Songbird, and more. As you unlock partners and beat special bosses, you can unlock arena backgrounds related to the partners and bosses you unlock, some specifically themed for your partners and bosses. You also increase in rank through these bosses and your Dark Partners will gain experience through them and fights with other partners.

Further up in rank you go, you start hearing of a possible new potential Dark Partner wreaking havoc on other players. The identity of this new Dark Partner is unkown to anyone, as it stays in some demon form, though many think it is a sorceress of some sort from another world entirely. You yourself have to fight her after clearing the first league. Despite her demon looks, you can still see her indigo clothes and red gems (sound familiar yet?). You ultimately lose and she teleports away before help arrives. After beating two more leagues, after which ends with you fighting this demon and lose, you and your instructor meet a stranger who you come to know as Joshua. Assuming this will ever become a fan-made game, I won't spoil it for you. If it doesn't, I'll tell you guys anyway. Seriously, it should be obvious to you guys.

You have access to an online arena, where you fight other players from around the world. You also have a training area to practice in. Like I said earlier, you can fight special bosses to unlock arena exclusive backgrounds and other stuff, like money for avatar accessories and titles describing you and/or your partner and catchphrases you can start small talk and taunt with. The prizes are randomly selected, so you may get the background first time beating the boss, you may have to spend 4 metaphorical hours repeatedly beating up a boss for the background. Avoids the hassle of achievements. The ones that only 2% of players somehow get I mean.

Each Dark Partner has a Second Form they can use when they've gathered enough energy during the fight. Each Dark Partner has a unique Second form, and when in this Second Form, they have increased strength and have access to a super power also unique to them once per Second Form usage. Like I said, I based this on Pokken tournament mostly, but the 16-bit style is like Mortal Combat and games like that.
