A War Fought and a Nucleus of Life
by Zymon M. Guinto

In the twilight of humanity's existence...

In this world, war, conquest, and power are everything.

One day, an army known as the Western Lions emerged. Hailing from England, they were tasked by the emperor to infiltrate the main Japanese army, their current enemies. The commander, a royal knight named Dustin, faced a significant challenge before embarking on the mission. His wife, Godiva, a noblewoman, was pregnant and near her due date.

However, Emperor Elric forbade any assistance to Godiva, leaving her with nowhere to go. The emperor, infatuated with Godiva, wanted a child with her. Despite Godiva's love for Dustin, the emperor devised a plan to eliminate him and erase any trace of their unborn child.

The Lions of England, led by Dustin, prepared for war with Godiva hidden among them. Unbeknownst to Dustin, this was part of the emperor's scheme to kill him and seize Godiva as a sex slave. The Japanese army, tipped off by the emperor, prepared for a surprise attack.

As they reached their destination, an arrow struck Commander Dustin's eye, leading to the demise of the entire army. The emperor learned of Dustin's death but couldn't find Godiva. The informants reported that Godiva and Dustin were hanged in a lone tree in a swamp.

This event fueled the emperor's anger towards the Japanese Army. Days later, a Japanese mercenary army, led by Commander Minazuki, passed through the swamp. They discovered Godiva's lifeless body hanging from the tree, yet miraculously, her newborn baby survived.

Minazuki named the baby Kenji and raised him in the harsh environment of the mercenaries. Kenji grew into a formidable warrior, helping the mercenaries in various tasks. As a young adult, Kenji regarded Minazuki as a father, though Minazuki viewed him more as a weapon or slave.

One day, after the mercenaries suffered a defeat, Kenji overheard their captains suggesting that he was an omen bringing bad luck. Fearing for his life, Kenji fled, pursued by Minazuki and the captains. Kenji sought refuge in a cave, experiencing the cruelty of the world firsthand.

After nearly a week in isolation, hunger forced Kenji out of the cave. He embarked on a solitary journey, becoming a wanderer and temporarily joining mercenary armies. Despite his imposing strength and numerous victories, Kenji chose to live alone.

In a pivotal battle between England and Japan, Kenji fought with the Japanese mercenary band "Troop of Hannya." His exceptional skills earned him a substantial reward, and he decided to leave the mercenary life. However, he encountered members of the Troop of Hannya who demanded his money.

A brutal confrontation ensued, resulting in Kenji single-handedly defeating thirty Hannya soldiers. The second captain begged for mercy, revealing that their commander, Megumi, sought to recruit Kenji. Megumi proposed a duel: if Kenji won, he would take the gold; if Megumi won, Kenji's life would belong to him.

Confident in victory, Kenji accepted. However, Megumi's extraordinary skills allowed him to dodge Kenji's attacks effortlessly. After defeating Kenji, Megumi proclaimed his ownership of Kenji's life, all while smiling innocently.

As Kenji became an integral part of the Troop of Hannya, they achieved great success. The main Japanese army recognized their strength, but influential figures in the royal castle opposed their acceptance, branding them as thieves disguised as samurai.

One day, as the members of the Hannya troops slept, their barracks caught fire, an act orchestrated by the jealous and insecure royal empire. Kenji, Kujou Sara, and Megumi survived but faced hostility from the empire.

Megumi revealed his tragic origin: Umi, a goddess, descended to Earth and fell in love with a man named Sekiro. The princess of the Japanese Empire desired Sekiro, leading to a tragic series of events. Umi was killed, but not before giving birth to Megumi. The princess took Megumi, and his hair grew exceedingly long.

In a climactic moment, Megumi unleashed a terrifying power, summoning monsters and declaring his intent to create a world free of suffering. The Hannya troops faced annihilation. Kenji, driven by rage, attacked Megumi, leading to a gruesome battle.

In a desperate move, Kenji sacrificed his left arm, severing Oiwa's hair and neutralizing Megumi's powers. Awakening from what seemed like a dream, Kenji found himself with Kujou Sara, realizing he had saved the world.

Following this, Kenji and Kujou Sara led a peaceful life alone in the forest.
