Third Person's POV:
Saturday morning, jumped out of bed~ And put on my best suit~
Abby sat down at the breakfast table in the apartment she and Fede shared. Fede was already there, munching on a donut and sipping away at his latte.
"Mornin'!" He cheerfully greeted her!
"Hiya!" Abby's voice was very clearly laced with energy.
Fede knew why.
"So when are you gonna pop the question?" The white-haired adult asked with a curious smile.
"Right after breakfast!" Abby chugged down her apple juice in one shot.
Got in my car, and raced like a jet~
"That quick already? Want me to drive you to Lilly's house?" Fede offered, not even surprised that his friend wanted to leave so quickly.
"That'd be nice." Abby chomped down on her cornflakes.
"Don't you think you gotta put on some neater clothes first?" Fede gestured towards Abby's sloppy pajamas in an amused fashion.
"Oh, crap! That's right!" Abby hurried into her bedroom.
Fede patiently waited for her to return. She was probably being too overly excited, but Fede had to admit he felt the same way back when he had asked Felix 'the question'. The difference was that Fede didn't have to ask Felix's dad for his permission, though.
"I'm ready! What do you think?"
All the way to you~ Knocked on your door, with heart in my hand~
"Well I'm not a fashion critic, so asking Felix would be-oh!" Fede's breath got caught as Abby returned.
Abby had put on a very beautiful orange dress with puffy sleeves, her face was tainted with a neatly brought on blush and eyeliner, and her hair was carefully curled at the bottom. She looked absolutely stunning, to say the least!
"Oh my God! You look awesome!" Fede gave her an impressed look.
"You think Lilly will like it?"
"I know Lilly will love it! The real question is, will her dad like it?" Fede sheepishly added.
"He better!" Abby's smile remained confident as she slipped on her shoes.
"Got the ring ready?" Fede walked towards his car at dead ease.
To ask you a question~
"Yup! It's apple-flavored!" Abby cheerfully replied.
She didn't have enough money yet to buy an actual ring, so a candy one would have to do for now. Abby jumped into the passenger's seat of Fede's Mercedes and watched as he started up the car.
"Good luck..... Lilly's dad isn't an easy fellow....." Fede quietly laughed at his obvious understatement.
"I had to ask at least three weeks in a row before he finally agreed to let me date Lilly! How long is it gonna take before he says yes to me marrying her?" Abby pouted and rested her cheek on her hand.
"Well, that was 4 years ago! Maybe he's finally become less overprotective now that you're both adults?" Fede tried cheering his friend up.
"We'll see."
'Cause I know that you're an old-fashioned man, yeah~
They reached Lilly's house, and as expected, Felix was already there to witness the spectacle.
"Fefi! Abby!" Felix easily picked up Abby and tightly hugged her.
"Whoo, Felix!" Abby returned the bear hug, unaware of the fact that her curly hair was getting ruined.
"O-M-G! I'm so excited for this! Even though it isn't my big day." Felix gave Abby a knowing smile.
"Better hope the old man's in a good mood....." Abby mumbled somewhat nervous.
"Lilly's dad is never in a good mood!" Felix laughed before leaning down a bit to kiss Fede.
"Still though, we'll be here to back you up!" Fede offered Abby a thumbs-up as he wrapped his arm around Felix's waist.
"Thanks, you guys! I'm going for it!" Abby proudly marched towards the front door.
Can I have your daughter for the rest of my life? Say yes, say yes, 'cause I need to know~
She loudly knocked on it, the small box containing the ring clenched in her right hand.
"Hello-oh Abby." In the door opening appeared a dark-blue haired man of 52 years.
"Hiya, Lliam!" Abby casually greeted her hopefully-soon-to-be-father in law.
"It's Mr. Lliam to you, young lady." Lliam's tone was surprisingly playful.
Lliam had warmed up to Abby over the few years, even though his overprotective demeanor never fully dissapeared.
"So I came here to ask....." Abby was pretty much jumping on her feet by now.
You say I'll never get your blessing 'till the day I die~
"To ask....?" Lliam raised an eyebrow at the female.
"Your daughter's hand!" Abby dramatically announced, showing off the ring box.
An awkward silence quickly emerged between the two adults. Lliam's facial expression hadn't changed in the slightest, and Abby's confident grin had basically freezed onto her face.
"........no." Lliam simply answered.
"What?! Why not?!" Abby quickly snapped out of her frozen state.
"Because you just can't. You're already dating her, and you don't need to get any closer to her than that." Lliam crossed his arms and sternly looked down at the short woman.
"Hey! Just because I have a candy ring instead of a real one doesn't mean I'm not worthy of dating your daughter!"
Tough luck, my friend, but the answer is 'no'~
"Wait, you don't even have a real ring?" Lliam blinked in surprise.
Oops. Wrong argument. Abby could see from the corner of her eye that Felix was face-palming.
"Hey, dad, what's-Abby!" Lilly happily smiled as she saw her girlfriend.
"Whoa.....what's up with the new look?" Lilly's face had reddened at Abby's appearance.
"I'm here to get your dad's blessing but like always he doesn't wanna give it!" Abby glared up at the taller man.
"Blessing? Oh my God, dad, come on!" Lilly suddenly looked really annoyed.
Why you gotta be so rude? Don't you know I'm human too?~
"Don't, 'dad come on' me! It's not happening, and that's that." Lliam remained stubborn as ever.
"Sir, I'm an amazing girlfriend! I think I'd be a fine wife too!" Abby smiled as Lilly grabbed her hand.
"Agreed!" Lilly added.
"Never in a million years." Lliam made a dismissive gesture with his hand.
"That's not up to you to decide! I'm 21, I'm not a baby anymore! If I wanna get married, I will!" Lilly daringly stared into her dad's eyes.
Why you gotta be so rude? I'm gonna marry her anyway~
"The answer is no!" Lliam barked back.
"Suck on that, old man! I'm gonna marry her, anyway!" Abby stuck out her tongue at the older man before dashing towards the car with Lilly.
"Fede, start the car! We're running away!" Lilly hurriedly yelled at her friend.
"W-wait really?!" Fede got pushed into the car by Felix.
"Let's roll, Fefi!" Felix grinned and hopped into the passenger's seat.
"H-hey! Get back!" Lliam started running towards them.
"I'll send you a card when we're married, dad!" Lilly cheerfully waved at Lliam before passionately kissing Abby.
Lilly was definitely the best wife Abby could've asked for.
