Ink's pov

Dream looked a bit shocked and conflicted when I said it. Error still looked sad.

"It depends on where Error wants to go..."

Error's shoulders sagged. Dream said the wrong thing, but at the same time it was the right thing to say. It put Error under pressure, but it was true. It was up to Error. Error's eyelights were still out. A few more glitches appeared around him.

"Are you okay Error? You don't have to decide right away, you still have time!"

Error was silent, but nodded his head. This once again is illegal. Seeing Error sad hurts me deep inside. I don't really know why...

"Hey... since you're free to go tomorrow, I'm sure they won't mind if we take you out somewhere for a bit!"

I smiled at Error. Dream looked confused. I walked over to Dream and whispered into his ear quiet enough so Error couldn't hear.

"Let's take him to Outertale!"

"As great as that sounds, let's not forget we haven't updated anyone about Error yet. If Outer Sans sees him with us... I think you get the idea."

...Crap. Wait- I know what to do!

"I have an idea. I will go to Outertale right now and inform Outer of everything. I'll tell him to keep this information confidential though. Then we'll get to take Error!"

Dream looked to be considering this.

"Okay... but... please make sure Outer doesn't tell anyone, okay?"

"Yessir! I'll be back in a jiffy!"

And with that, I hopped into a portal to Outertale. I knew where to find Outer. I walked into the Grilby's of Outertale. As per usual, Outer Sans was sitting on a barstool, drinking some galactic ketchup. I approached him.

"Hey Outer!"

He slightly jumped and turned around.

"Oh hi Ink. What's up?"

"I needed to talk to you about something..."

He nodded his head and told Grillby to put the ketchup on his tab. He then hopped off the barstool and I gestured for him to come with me to a private area; the place I want to take Error stargazing. Literally nobody but him goes there apparently. Once we get there, we both sit down.

"So, what'd you want to talk to me about?"

Here goes nothing. I hope Outer doesn't hate me for all the crap I did to Error because of my own stupidity.

"It's about Error."

Outer narrows his eyes.

"What did he do...?"

"He didn't do anything. I learnt the truth about Error and why he destroyed AU's."

Outer's eyesockets widened. He looked quite surprised.

"Wow... so why did he do it?"

"Believe it or not... he was right. There IS a balance. I was destroying the balance, and he was fixing it. The balance can only fit so many AU's, but by creating too much I put everything in danger. At the time, Error didn't exist. So the Goddess who created me pulled Error out of his AU and destroyed his home and killed everyone he knew and loved. Then the Goddess tortured him. The Goddess's name is Fate. They told him how to fix the balance and broke his mind at the same time. Eventually, he became the Error we know now. Or at least... who you think he is. Does this make sense...?"

Outer's non-existent jaw was hanging down. Or at least, that's what it would've looked like if he had a jaw. He shook his head and took in a deep breath.

"So what you're saying is... Error isn't the bad guy here... it's you."

"Allow me to explain. I had no clue I was hurting Error, because even though Fate supposedly told me not to create too much, I didn't hear her whisper and she never bothered to tell me a second time. If I would've known, none of this would've happened. Outer... I swear I didn't mean to hurt anyone... I thought I was doing the right thing, but in the end I made him suffer... everything was the opposite. I destroyed. I hurt him. I was so... naive. But... the reason I'm telling you all this is because I'm trying to make it up to Error. So please... forgive him. He hated killing. I came here because I didn't want you to attack him and I wanted to take him stargazing, but for once it being without any type of pain. Please don't tell anyone about this. I'd rather tell everyone in a meeting. I want to own up for my actions. I want to make this right."

Outer has stars in his eyes, but then snaps out of it and nods his head with a smile on his face.

"Wow... I never would've thought... hey Ink... would you mind if I join you guys...? I also hurt him... can I help fix this too...?"

Now it was my turn to have stars in my eyes.

"Y-yes of course! I'll go get them right now! Wait right here!"

Outer smiled and nodded at me as I hopped through my portal. I hope Error is okay with Outer being here.
