CHAPTER 38
3rd person pov
Error's eyes widened. Ink was starting to get through to Error. Error's glitchy eyes almost formed stars, and Ink and Dream noticed. Ink mentally fanboyed over how cute it looked. Error looked like a child who had gotten exactly what he wanted for Christmas. But almost as fast as it came, his happy expression faded back into a sad one.
"w-wHat aBoUt aLl tHoSe oThEr sAnsEs? tHeY stIlL hAte mE!"
"We can worry about that later. When I'm through with them, they will be in literal tears. They might even drown in the tears and sadness."
Dream made a tiny snort and Error just stared at Ink.
"tHe oNlY sAd ThIng hErE iS yOU."
Error smirked. Ink gasped at Error.
"Owwww... that one hurt Error."
Dream was trying not to die. Ink was trying not to laugh out loud. Error still had a cocky expression on his face. Then Error became embarrassed and turned his head the other way and curled up into a ball. Ink giggled at this action. (Not to mention Error is still adorably pressed up against Ink's chest. They're legit still hugging. Dream's kinda just using Error's shoulder as a hand-rest.)
"Hey Error, I have a question for you!"
"O-oh... wHaT iS It?"
"Do you have any hobbies?"
Error paused to think.
"I lOvE cRoChEtiNg, aNd StArgAzInG iN OuTeRtAlE."
Dream and Ink exchanged glances. They knew EXACTLY what had to be done.
"What's your favourite colour?"
"uHm... bLue... wHy...?"
"No reason~"
Error looked confused and a little nervous. Due to the many harmful things that Ink did in the past to Error, he didn't necessarily trust Ink with this kind of situation yet. Error jerked in Ink's grasp. Ink let go of Error and Error stood up and backed away. Error eyed Ink up and down, looking for any sudden movements. Ink just stayed in the same position and kept his hands down. Ink made sure that he didn't look like he posed a threat. Dream did the same. Error's nerves calmed a little, but not fully. He was still on guard.
"...wHy aRe yOu aSkIng mE tHis...?"
"Error, it's okay. We're not gonna hurt you. We were just thinking that maybe we could watch you crochet...? If you're okay with that of course."
Error looked like he was considering Ink's offer. Then he sighed and nodded his head.
"AlRiGht. YOu cAn wAtCh mE cRoCheT."
Ink and Dream squealed. Error looked embarrassed. Ink took out his paintbrush and created a metal crochet stick and some blue yarn. The supplies fell onto the ground. Error walked over and picked the supplies up. He eyed the materials. Glitchy stars formed in his eyes for 3 seconds then disappeared. He looked happy. Ink and Dream melted at the sight of a happy Error. It was honestly a beautiful sight. It meant that they were making progress.
*Ink and Dream are filled with HOPE and DETERMINATION.
*Ink feels something forming where his SOUL should be.
*Dream feels STRONGER.
*Error has an itchy neck. He wants to begin crocheting.
Error sits in front of Ink and Dream, and grabs the metal crochet stick with his right hand, and holds the blue yarn in his left hand. He takes the yarn and makes a loop. He begins to form a knot, then places the crochet hook through the loop. He made the slip knot. (I'm thinking of a certain heavy metal band when writing slip knot. Wonder why?) Next, Error grabs the tail of the knot and brings the ball of blue yarn to the left of the crochet hook. He proceeds to make chains by following many loops. Ink and Dream watch in awe. Soon, Error has one full line of a braid. What amazed both star Sanses the most was how fast Error did it. It only took him 45 seconds. They watch Error make more loops and braids and chains. 10 minutes pass, and the object Error made was done. It was a blue scarf.
"DoNe."
Ink and Dream gasped. They had stars in their eyes. Their breath was taken away by not only Error's skill, but by the beauty and accuracy of the scarf. Every string was woven perfectly.
"MaY I hAvE sOmE yElLoW, wHiTe, bRowN aNd pInk sTriNg pLeAsE?"
Ink snapped out of his trance and made Error the said- supplies. And again Error got back to work. He used the white, yellow, brown and blue for the first one. He made another scarf with lovely triangular designs on it. The next scarf he used the pink, yellow and blue yarn.
"aAAAaAnD I'm dOnE."
Error threw the scarves at the bedazzled skeletons.
"yOu cAn kEeP tHeM."
Ink and Dream squealed. Again. They hugged their scarves and touched them.
"So sooffftt~!"
"Aaaaaaa I love iiiittt!!"
"Omigoshhhhh where has this been all my life~?!"
"I'm gonna hug it forever!"
"I'M GONNA SLEEP WITH IT EVERY NIGHT- er- uhhh... I mean I'm gonna... uhhh..."
Ink's face turned into a rainbow and Error snorted. He was happy they liked them.
"AHahA... gLad yOu lIkE tHeM...?"
"HELL YEAH I LOVE IT!!"
Error and Ink looked shocked and looked at Dream.
"You just swore."
"Shit."
"You did it again!"
Error facepalmed. But, for the first time in years, he was happy. Maybe things truly were turning around for the better. Only time would tell, though. Patience is key.
