CHAPTER 11
Science Sans's pov
So... we killed Error. All this time we thought Error was bad. We believed Ink. I look up. Error's strings are still there. When a monster dies, all evidence of their magic evaporates and disappears. Error's strings are slightly dimmed, but still exist. If their still there then...
"Error is alive."
The others look at me, shocked and confused. So Error isn't really dead.
"Allow me to explain. When a monster dies, their magic evaporates and disappears. However, Error's strings are still evident but dimmed. This means that Error is still alive somehow. He said he jumped into the void, so maybe he is floating around in there somehow?"
It looked like realization had a physical form and slapped them across the face. Geez. Wait. It said in Error's note that if Error isn't here, the multiverse may collapse, because I know how Ink is with creating and it's highly likely that Ink will go back to creating right after this as a method of venting out his negative feelings to keep Nightmare from becoming stronger. I know we've been horrible towards Error, but we need him back. ASAP.
"Guys. We need Error back. I may need your help. I'm going to have to figure out how to get Error out of the void, though..."
They snapped out of it and nodded. Good.
"We have no time to waste. Ink, take us to my AU so we can figure out how to get Error out of the void."
Ink makes the portal and we step through. When we arrive, I lead them to my lab and pull out chairs for everyone to sit in. I don't know much about the void, so maybe Ink or the others will have some knowledgeable on the void. That would be useful. I ask Ink about the void.
"Hey Ink, do you know anything about the void?"
He responds.
"I know a little bit."
I grab a pen and a notepad. Ink continues.
"There are four layers of the void. The surface, which is the easiest layer to grab something from; if we were to create a portal to the void and bring a rope to climb with, it wouldn't be dangerous at all."
I jot all that down. He waits for me to finish writing, then he continues.
"The second layer has a thin membrane protecting it, so we would have to break the membrane, then grab Error, and go through the first layer to make it back. The third layer is much like the second; but the membrane is a little thicker and being in there for too long will slowly drain your magic. The fourth layer is the worst; and almost impossible to get out of. Hopefully Error isn't in the fourth layer."
I wrote that all down. That information will be very useful. Wait... how did Ink know all of that? Eh I'll ask him later, but for now I need to focus on making a plan to get Error back before everything collapses.
"Thank you Ink. Now we just need to figure out how to get into the void without being decapitated by the pressure in the void. And Error might put up a fight, so... hmm..."
Ink had an idea, and said it.
"I can use my purple paint to stop him from using any magic, or we can knock him out. I feel horrible for this conclusion, but I can't think of any other way. Sorry."
I have an idea on how to get Error without him putting up a fight.
"Actually, it would be better if we knocked him out, but without getting physical. You'll have to wear gas masks, but I can use a type if sleeping gas if he puts up a fight. It sounds awful, I know, but that's really the only way."
They all slowly nodded in agreement. Now we just need to figure out how to get into the void without dying. Oh- another idea!
"I have an idea on how to get into the void without dying!"
They focus on me.
"Because the pressure inside the void will rip us to shreds, drinking milk for calcium will keep us from splitting, because if our this bones become thicker and stronger, they will be hard to break. I will also make some type of wearable accessory that makes magic flow around our body, to keep everything in place and so we can move around in the void. This process will take about 2-3 days, unless..."
While I'm deep in thought about how to speed up the process, Ink grabs his paintbrush and instantly makes bracelets that will surround our bodies in magic. Sometimes I barely understand Ink. He drops them on the ground, and I pick one up and inspect it. It has a button on it. I slip it on, and press the button. I am immediately surrounded by magic and I levitate a little. Perfect. This can work. Now we just need to chug a few cartons of milk. Oh, I'm forgetting something.
"Hey Ink, can you create a rope or a ladder that we can climb into the void so we can reach Error?"
He nods and makes a ladder that looks thick enough to maintain itself in the void. Perfect.
"Alright. You can all go home now. Come back in two days. By then, we can put the plan into action. Also, make sure to eat good meals, and rest. You're gonna need the energy."
And with that, Ink creates a portal and they leave. I hope this all works out.
