I think I have become good at learning about this world. Husband taught me about google and wikipedia when we got here, once we found we could use the library's computers. Now I have my own laptop and phone, so I can look things up all the time.

Most of what I looked up were things I had seen or heard. Then I started looking for words I needed to describe things, ideas and feelings that I never needed words for in Eorzea. More recently, though, I have learned I can find entirely new things, using wikipedia's random page button, which showed me many sports players and several towns in a place called Poland.

Google mostly wants to show me lists of things others searched for or found interesting. When I looked for "random" in google, it gave me a list of things that would give me random things, rather than something random. But these too were interesting. I spent an entire afternoon looking at random things, not thinking about food or the time.

Husband brought dinner to the workshop and let me browse as we ate, then headed to the bar for his bouncing shift. When I realized my eyes were tired I closed up the laptop and went to join him.

He was sitting at the bar, talking with Sam. He saw me come in and smiled. "I was beginning to think I'd need to drag you out of there for bed."

"I did not notice the time. I was busy becoming an overlord of pug."

"A what?"

"An overlord of pug, at puginarug dot com. I am sorry...did I emberlucock you?"

They both stared at me. Husband asked, "Did you what?"

"Emberlucock you. I did not mean to."

"What the hell is...ember...lu...cock...ing?"

"It means to confuse or bewilder. I learned it from google."

"...I think you emberlucocked me."

"I am sorry. I did not mean to."

"Kinda think you did."

"Perhaps I did." I turned to Sam. "Did I emberlucock you?"

"Nah. I'm unemberlucockable."

I will need to try harder with Sam.
