Welcome to Yevon!

The team arrived shortly after at the Temple on Besaid island and Shannon gasped when she saw it, "Whoa! Is this some sort of guild hall?"

Braska laughed, "No, this is the temple, where I go in and pray to become a summoner. While I'm praying, I'm sure the priest will take good care of you. You might want to check in with him."

Shannon smiled, "Will do!" They all walked into the temple and Shannon gasped when she walked in. The building was dimly lit and it felt like she had stepped into the past. She saw Braska, Jecht, and Auron step into a passageway and waved at them as the door shut. Once it did, Shannon was all alone in this strange place.

She felt a man tap her on the shoulder and said, "Are you looking for the priest?"

"Yes Sir. I need help."

The man smiled calmly at her, "Follow me, ya? I'm Wakka. The priest is this way, Miss..."

"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Shannon." Shannon smiled at Wakka, "Nice to meet you! Aren't you a little too young to be here in a hall like this?"

Wakka laughed, "Nope, this is where everyone comes to pray, we all rely on each other here to help each other out. Kind of like we're one big family, ya?" The two of them walked into a desolate room where there was only one other person: the priest. Wakka said, "This person will help you here. May Yevon help you heal."

"Thank you so much!" Shannon walked into the room and she turned around to wave to Wakka, but he was gone. She turned back around and saw a priest holding a plate of food, so she sat down and ate it. The priest smiled at her as she ate, "Do you like our food?"

Shannon nodded, "Yes Sir! This reminds me of Mirajane's food!"

The priest laughed, "So, where is this Mirajane at? She might be able to take you back home!"

"Uh...she's in a guild called Fairy Tail, in a city called Magnolia."

The priest gasped, "Miss, did you get hurt by the toxins?"

Shannon sighed, "Nope, just a nasty hit to the head by a blitzball."

The priest smiled calmly, "Ah, so that is why you make up a city called Magnolia. That city doesn't exist here in Spira. You must have gotten hit hard, poor thing!" The priest then handed her a drink and a set of clothes, "Here, the drink will heal you right up and clear your memory, and the clothes are yours to keep!"

Shannon smiled at the priest, "Thanks!" She drank the potion and as she did, her mind was racing, Stupid me, I forgot that I'm not in Fiore anymore. I have to be careful about what I say now to people. She changed into the clothes the priest gave her and gasped when she saw herself in the mirror because Gerald never let her wear clothes that were so...sexy!

When she fell asleep on the beach, she was in a rather heavy sundress, with awful wedges on along with a pair of gloves to hide her guild mark. Gerald wanted her to look like a 'proper housewife' because he frowned against the notion of women being in a guild and fighting. He believed that women were meant to please men, so the only time she wore things remotely similar to this was when Gerald wanted it.

Now, she had on a beautiful purple top that was sleeveless and only a pair of short purple shorts! She saw that she had on purple sleeves, but they did not connect to the top and she had purple socks and black boots! Gold trim surrounded the whole outfit and Shannon had a purple bow in her hair to match the outfit. She took the gloves off and truly felt a weight lifted off of her. She could truly be herself now.

Shannon looked in the mirror to tie her hair up with the bow and smiled as she did so. She knew that she was truly looking at herself and felt freedom. This was who she was now and she wasn't afraid to show it. It's so weird, but I thought I would never miss myself more when I got with Gerald. How quickly time changes.

Suddenly, she heard everyone out there gasp!  She peeked out the door to hear the priest say to the people. "There's been an accident in the Closter. Don't panic, I'm sure the guardians will protect the summoner."

Shannon ran out, clipping her keys and her whip onto her outfit, "What happened?"

"A fiend got in there somehow, I'm sure the guardians will handle it."

Shannon saw a gaping hole and ran into it. People gasped and shouted out as she ran towards the Cloister, "You're breaking the rules!"

Shannon turned around and shrugged at them, "Sometimes, rules need to be broken if you want to protect your friends."

She then turned around and charged into the Cloister of Trials, not knowing what lies ahead of her, shocking the people in the temple.

A/N:

I thought this chapter was a lot longer when I wrote it. I'll work on that in future chapters for sure!  As for now, enjoy this!  Let me know if you have any comments, ideas, or outfits for Shannon (there's a lot of changes coming up!), or questions overall!  Thank you for reading this!
