Alternative Ending 1

Ok, so this one has been going on around in my head for sometime now and I thought it would be a good time to finally write it down, so here goes...

Rhys looked at the bone carver in utter confusion as it told him the most valuable secret in the countries. In return he had to do what though?
'There was a man who lived many millennia ago, older than you and all your friends, older than that creature who you regard as your second older than the cauldron itself.'
'And that is all you will tell me?' He said softly, like a cat leering through the night.
'It's like you said, I want something in return.' The face of a girl looked up at him, her innocent brown eyes sparkled with anticipation.

'I want to you to get me out of here, and then I want you to kill me.'
His throat lurched at the thought. To kill something that knew nearly everything, it seemed a waste.
'And just how do you plan on doing such a thing?'  If was anyway that he could stop the horrendous fatality of the coming war, he would take it.
'You are the high lord, are you not? Just order it and it will be done.' His throat clenched. He knew he was powerful but the thought of being able to let these beasts out. He shuddered
'I didn't realize I had such power here' His voice was shaky and he knew that he shouldn't lie but he wasn't that sure.
'Yes you did' It knew, the bone carver knew all.

'Ok what is this power that you speak of?' Rhys was determined now; he would not it such an opportunity pass.
'Once upon a time,' It said, it's high pitch voice matched the skin it was wearing, 'There was a young couple, happier than all other's, and yet not, for the girl was mortal and her mate, well he was a god of this world. He was the first god to every be in this world. He was the creator of this world.'
Rhys tried to keep up but he was lost in the myth, but the bone carver spoke no lies.
'In order to help turn his mate immortal to be with her forever, he asked the newer, younger gods to help him, but they were clouded by their greed for his power and his control, although they never got the power.'
Rhys understood how the god was feeling. To stay forever young and to watch Feyre grow old without him would've been his ruining.

'Together, they used their power altogether, which was a tenth of his, to put him into an object that would turn her forever, specially made for her, but he could never come back.'
'But one betrayed the rest, and killed the girl before she could go near her mate, and as a punishment, his eternity was gifted to her, but she was already dead.'

The bone carver stopped talking, the twisted smile destroyed the radiant face that he had taken on.  Rhys knew he wanted something in return, but he wasn't sure what.

'The rest of the story is a long one.'
'I have time.' That was a lie, but if Rhys could finish this war without bloodshed, he had time.
'When you leave me here, when you return to Velaris, I want my brother to have a glass palace with no roof.'
'It will be done' Rhys said, it was a small sacrifice in the grand scheme of this war.

'The girl, mortal but gifted with eternal life, is in a constant circle, she is born every thousand years and dies every thousand years. She knows not of her past, yet once she meets her mate again she will be forever eternal, never to die, but there is a possibility that she will not remember anything from her past lives.'

'Every time she has been born again their is a high chance that she ill be born into another world. You are, however, in luck, for she has begun her knew life in Prythian once again. She is walking her 15th year on this land.'

She was a child. This girl with a supposed amount of immense power was a mere child, a babe in the standards of Faerie. But then so was Feyre. So was Feyre and look how perfect and beautiful Feyre was.

'Why does this story have anything to do with the coming war?' Rhys was the first to speak this time. The bone carver just glared at him, seemingly annoyed at being interrupted.
'Her mate, has only a tenth of his power that he could originally access, yet he is ten times more powerful than you. When he is let out of he will once again have full access to these powers.'

'At the present, the King of Hybern currently has control over this man,' Rhys's brow furrowed in confusion and desperation. If the King of Hybern already had control, they would never make it to the end of this war. But the bone carver went on.
'For he has no control over himself. Once he meets his mate, he will once again be the most powerful person that has ever lived. You have already seen him take over for a while. Your friend Elain swapped souls with his mate and he felt her presence at your camp. He did not come to kidnap your friend, he came to find his mate.'

That was when everything clicked into place and Rhys realized what he must do.

He must find the cauldron's mate.
