"Welcome to the outer banks, Cleo" Pope says as we arrived outer banks "you're crazy, Pope. Your parents are not going to appreciate me shacking up" Cleo says

"Of course they will. Are you kidding? Heyward might put you to work, but we could always use the help" Pope says

"You're back in outer banks, Aren't you excited?" I says as I walks besides Jay, but he doesn't answer, it looks like he's drowning in his thoughts

"Jay?" I asks "huh?" He zones in "what's up?" I asks "nothing" he shrugs "come on, what's going on?" I asks

"What's going on? My dad is gone and I am basically homeless, I have no place to go" he says,

"Shit, I am sorry we only talked about my shit. I didn't even think about that" I says "it doesn't matter, I'll think of something. Maybe I can still live in my old house" he says

"I wasn't apologising because you have no place to go, I was apologising because it wasn't obvious for you that you're coming to my house. I am sorry I didn't offered that earlier, there was so much to catch up with" I says and he stops walking

"What?" He says "I am sorry that you were worried about that, but you got nothing to worry about, my mom loves you. And she's back to her old self" I says

"Are you sure it's fine?" he asks before I pulls him into a hug "everything will be alright, I promise" I says

"Guys? Come on" Kie says, I pulls out of the hug and we both catch up with the others

"This is me, home sweet home" Kie exhales "damn Kiara, you love here? This is like the White House, man" Cleo says

"How bad you think it's gonna be?" Pope asks "scale of on to ten? Twenty" she answers

"Do you want us to hold up here?" Cleo ask "no... I gotta take this. Thanks for walking me" Kie says before walking away

"How are you?" I asks Jay as we walks to my house, after we got separated from Pope and Cleo

"I am fine, I am just a bit overwhelmed coming back to the obx" he says "I get it, but now you don't have your dad, maybe it will be better" I says "yeah" he says before we arrives at my house and knocks on the door

"Oh my god" my mom says as she opens the door and notices Jay "look who I found" I says before she hugs him

"It's nice to see you Sonia" Jay laughs "I am so glad to see you! Where have you been?" She asks as she lets us in

"She knows about the boat and the cross, you can tell her" I says and he nods "oh, uh... after we got away we reached a desert island, we spent the time there before Singh sent a plan to get us" he says

"Singh?" she asks "the man who I was meeting with. The deal was fake, the guy wanted some diary and they took the Pogues as well, that's how I found them" I says "well, I am glad you're home and everyone is safe" she says

"I also wanted to ask you if Jay could stay with us, his dad got out of the island and he can't live alone" I says "I mean, of course. But he's staying in the guest room, no sleeping together" she says "yes ma'am" I raise my hands as defence "thank you Sonia" Jay smiles

"You can go take a shower, you have some clothes here you left at our place and we can go take more clothes from your house tomorrow" I says "that sounds good" he says

"Do you know where the shower and the guest room are?" I asks "is that a real question? I know where your things are better than you do" he says "that's fair enough" I says before he walks away

"How do you feel?" My mom asks "I am happy" I answers with a smile "how is the other?" She asks "they're fine, they're meeting their parents right now" I says

"I am so glad everyone is back, that has been a nightmare" she says "yeah" I agrees

"Where did you got this ring you're always playing with?" She asks, I didn't even noticed I was playing with it right now

"Jay gave me this before we got separated on the boat" I answers "a wave, he knows you" she says making me smile "he does" I says

"Was Rafe being okay? You didn't have any troubles?" She asks "no, everything was fine. Oh, me and Kie stole his boat, she pushed him off so his own boat, can you believe it?" I laughs

"Oh, I missed her!" She laughs as well "I though something happened to you, you've been missing for more than I though" she adds as her laugh fades

"Ma..." I says "I just think all of those treasure haunts are dangerous. I saw it with your father, look where it got him" she says

"What does he have to do with this? You pushed me to go, you told me to steal the cross" I says "I know, that is on me. I am just tired of being worried about you so much" she says

"Then don't" I says "it's not that simple. Can you just drop this treasure haunt?" She asks "dad used to do it because he did it for money, I am doing this for the Pogues, my friends. You can understand that, you come from a Pogue family" I says

"But you're not a Pogue" she says "I am!" I says "not by money" she argues "I just want my friends to have a better chance in life" I says

"Look, I don't want to fight. But you can't keep going like this. What do you think would have happened if this Singh guy would have caught you? You could've died, I can't lose another family member to this treasure haunt, you're the only l left" She says

"I am not like dad" I says "the only difference is that your attempt didn't worked" she says

"I am not doing this, not with you" I walks away to my room "where are you going?" She asks "I am going to take a shower" I says

JJ'S POV

"Oh my god, I know I recognised this smell" I says as I walks downstairs after I finished taking a shower

"I know you missed my pancakes" Sonia says "where's Haley?" I asks "taking a shower" she sighs

"What happened?" I asks "we had a fight" she answers "about what?" I asks "I am just worried about her with the treasure haunt, I think I messed up" she says

"She's sensitive, try to be soft with her" I says "yeah, I should think before I talk" she says "you two are like the same" I says "yeah" she chuckles

"Don't worry she'll get over it" I says "You're probably right, thanks JJ" she says

"Do you need any help?" I asks "uh, yeah. Can you flip this one as I'll make some more?" She asks "of course" I helps her

"I am so glad that you're back... she was devastated when you were gone" Sonia says "but she's better now" I says

"She didn't have any chance but get better after you know... what happened" she says "what do you mean?" I asks

"You know... after she overdosed" she says making me confused and concerned, she never told me that "the pancakes!" Sonia zones me in making me realise I burnt a pancake

"Shit, sorry" I says "that's alright״ she smiles at me "you can go sit it's almost ready" she says

"I am going to talk to Haley" I says "oh okay" she says as I walks away

"Haley, can I talk to you?" I knocks on her door "yeah, come in" she says

"When people says they want to talk, they usually talk" Haley says as she sits in her bed, I was standing in front of her. We were staring at each other in silence for a good few seconds as I was walking in circles

"Jay, what's going on?" She asks "I don't understand" I bite my nails "what don't you understand? What's going on? You're freaking me out" She says "why didn't you tell me?" I asks

"What? Jay, I don't understand what you're talking about" she says "your mom told me you overdosed while we were gone" I says "I swear to god I am going to kill her" she mumbles

"Don't be mad at her, she thought you already told me. Why didn't you?" I asks "I was going to" she says

"Like you were going to tell me you relapsed the other time?" I asks "look at us. You and I, back at it again" she says

"Is it because of this Jesse?" I asks "what? No!" She says "it's because he overdosed, he made you think it's a good idea" I says

"It's nobody's fault. I thought you guys were dead. I had a hard time finding a reason to wake up in the morning, and when I did I was high all the time. It's no a way to live" she says

"John B is also away from us and I didn't wanted you to worry about him after you'd find out how bad I actually got" she explains but I wasn't convinced

"But John B chose to go after his father, you didn't have a choice. And you know I am not worried about John B like I am worried about you. I mean, he's like a brother to me but it's just different" I says

"I guess I was scared" she confess "why?" I asks "I just got you back, I didn't want to lose you again. The whole time you were gone I felt like a scared little kid" she starts

"You were scared?" I asks "yeah... I thought you knew that about me" she says "why would you think you'd lose me?" I asks "I was scared that if I'd tell you the truth you would think I am a fucking mental, just like my dad" she adds before I shakes my head

"I love you, Hales, more than anything. I could never compare you to your dad because I know who you are, I know you. And you're the best person I've ever met, I could never afford lose you" I says 

"I am sorry for not telling you" she says "don't be sorry, I am sad you feel like I would look at you differently, not because you didn't tell me. I just don't want you to feel like you can't tell me stuff and be honest with me, but that doesn't make you a bad person" I says

"And I understand that you were having a really bad time while we weren't here, I don't blame you for that. But we'll be okay again, you promised me that" I adds

"you're the best thing that ever happened to me, do you know that?" she says with a smile as I pulls her into a hug

"It's actually crazy that you got your shit together after that, you're amazing. I am so proud of you" I says "it was either this or I die" she says as I pulls out of the hug and look at her

"It doesn't matter, the important thing is that you're here, and clean" I says and she nods before Sonia enters the room

"Knocking, mom" Haley says "come on, I made pancakes. Truce?" Sonia says before Haley rolls her eyes with a smirk

"You know how to buy me off" Haley says as we all walks to the kitchen and sits down
