After Rafe leaves I am still in the kitchen, crying, before I gets a call from Kie

"Haley" she says with a serious tone "what's up?" I asks trying to hide my broken voice "are you okay?" She asks "yeah, yeah" I says as I wipes my tears

"Me and Pope are going to pick you up in 10 minutes" she says "what's going on?" I asks "we're planning on going to the chateau, get some stuff for the gold" she explains

"Oh, okay" I says "I'll see you soon, we're on our way" she says before we both says our goodbye and hang up

I quickly walks to the bathroom and disinfect my cut on my neck and clean myself up a little bit. After a few minutes Kie texts me they were here.

"What's with your neck?" Pope asks as I got into the car "it's nothing, I just tried to bake something" I says with a nervous laugh as Pope starts to drive to the chateau

"I remember when Sonia cooked us all pancakes the other day when we slept over at yours, it was great" Kie speaks "we should do that again sometime" I says "absolutely. But you should probably leave Sonia the cooking" Pope laughs "yeah" I chuckles

"So we gotta be done here before my scholarship interview in the morning" Pope says as we arrives at the chateau

"Okay, well, we gotta focus" Kie says "I know, it's gonna be fine. We got John B and JJ inside the well, and me and Haley up top" Pope says

"You and Sarah will be outside transporting" he adds "I still don't understand why I can't go with Sarah and Kie, my leg is fine" I complains

"JJ won't forgive me if I'll let you go near that Crain lady again" he explains

"Jay can't decide where I can go" I says "he's not trying to, he's just worried about you" Kie replies

"Okay, uh I got a winch" Pope starts "yeah" Kie confirms "that tin can hold over like... 200,300 pounds" He adds "thanks" Kie says

"Uh... what's for?" Pope asks "stranding us. You know, making us make up" Kie answers "what makes you think that was me?" Pope says before a light turns on

"What's that?" I asks "what the hell" Pope says "who the hell is that?" Kie asks before we walks to the chateau garden

"What did you do, JJ?" Pope asks as we sees Jay sitting inside an expensive ass hot tub

"I got a jet going straight in my butt right now" he replies with a smirk as I share a concerned look with Kie

"Y'all should get in immediately, you hear me?" He adds "how much did it cost?" Pope asks "uh... we'll, with the generator, the petrol, and oh, hey, express delivery... pretty much all of it, yeah" he chuckles

"All of it?" Pope asks with widen eyes "yeah, all of it" Jay answers "you spent all the money in one day?" Pope asks

"Yeah, buried a hole right through my pocket, but I mean like come on. Guys, like look at this! Finest in jet based massage therapy, that's what they told me" Jay says and I stare at him, speechless

I wasn't mad, I just couldn't understand him and why he did that. He was losing it.

"Haley, what? can't a man have a little luxury in life? Come on, all this scrimping and scraping... I mean like... guys, we- you know live once, right?"

"Enough of this emotion shit. Get in the Cat's ass. Come on" Jay adds "in the what?" Kie questions "in the Cat's ass. That's what I named her" he answers

"Oh, hey, yo. I almost forgot" he says as he click a switch turning more lights "yeah that's right I know. Disco mode. That's right baby!" he says

"Are you kidding me? You could've paid for restitution!" Pope speaks "or literally given it to any charity!" Kie adds "guys-" I tries calming them down

I am not going to lie, Jay was being unreasonable for this but before figuring out why he did that, judging won't help, it will just make everything worse. And besides, I hate when we fights

"What, Haley? You can't defend him, he could've helped us buy supplies to get the rest of the gold out of the well!" Pope says

"Okay, well, you know what? I didn't do that!" He stands up revealing bunch of bruises on his body. He did go back home after all. I shouldn't let him go.

"I got a hot tub! For my friends. I got a hot tub for my friends. You know what? No, you know what? Screw friends. I got a hot tub for my family!" He says as I stare at him and see the pain in his eyes while saying it

"JJ, what the hell?" Kie says "I got this for you. Guys look what I did for you! All right? Look at this! Look at this!" He says "Jay..." I shakes my head

"No you stop being emotional it's fine, okay?" He says and I can see him trying to smile, trying to show it was fine, but it wasn't.

"I mean it's sweet, right? Everything-" he says but I interrupts him by getting into the hot tub and hugs him and we both starts to sob

"I just couldn't do it" he starts "I can't take him anymore! I was gonna kill him" he sobs "it's okay, baby. It's okay" I rubs his back and tries to comfort him before Kie and Pope got in as well and join the hug

"I just wanna do the right thing" he says "I know, I know" Kie says

Kie and Pope got to their home as I staid with Jay. We both sits by the edge of the hot tub

"I am sorry for what I said today" he says "it's okay, we can just forget about the kiss" I says "but, Haley..." he face me

"I did liked it- I mean it did meant a lot for me, I was just scared" he explains "of what?" I asks "I don't know... that I would screw up" he says 

"Even if you will, I am gonna be there. You are allowed to screw up as long as it you don't mean to hurt me, and I know you wouldn't do anything to hurt me" I says

"But I did hurt you, I know I did" he says "you were upset and you needed to be alone, I get it" I assure him

"What happened to your neck?" He asks "it was nothing, just an accident in the kitchen" I says, I wasn't fully lying

"I can sill tell when you're lying" he says before I look down "look, I just don't want you to get upset, you had a rough day" I says

"Haley, tell me what happened" he says, I face his worried look "Rafe came for a visit" I says "what? Did he do this to you?" He asks with panic

"I am fine" I cover my neck with my hair "Haley this is not fine, I am going to burn this son a butch alive" he moves my hair and moves his finger on my neck "Jay, I don't want you to burn anyone, I just need you to hold me" I says as I put my head on his shoulder

"Can't I do both?" He ask"we can burn him together later, now just hold me" I says as he play with my hair "I can do that" he says

"As long as we're together we'll be okay, I promise" I says "I know" he quietly says. I found myself waking up in his bed, he was next to me, asleep

I sits up and he walks up as well "oh, hi" he smiles "I fell asleep?" I asks "on my shoulder, though you'd be more comfortable here" he says

"You're cute" I smiles before he leans me into a kiss "shit, my parents are probably freaking out" I realises

"Come on, don't leave" he says as I was about to get up of the bed, but he gently grabs my hand "I have to" I groans as he lets go of my arm and let me tie my shoes

"Take care of your neck, will you?" He asks "it's fine, I am taking care of it" I says "okay" he nods before I leans him to another kiss

"Come on, why can't we just stay like this?" He groans "I'll be back so soon you won't even get a chance to to miss me" I says as I was about to walk away

"Hey, take a sweater. It's cold outside" he takes off his sweater and throws it to me "thanks, Maybank" I says "no problem, Grace" he says

"Stop using my middle name!" I complains on my way outside his house 

"Mom? Are you home?" I enters my house "she isn't home" my dad says "oh, okay" I says, I was about to walk up to my room before he stops me

"Rafe told me you're hanging out with the pogues again" he says and I stops before I walk towards him "what about it?" I says

"This again?" He asks "yes, this again" I confidently says "I told you, I don't like them" he says

"They're my friends, dad" I says "I know" he says "so, what's your deal?" I asks "I just think they're bad for you, as your father" he says

"And I am telling you, you don't know them" I says "I know them better than you do!" He says "what do you mean?" I asks before my mom enters the door

"What's going on?" She asks "weren't you supposed to be at work, honey?" My dad says to my mom

"I was release early, I decided to visit Lana, she said she wants to see you Haley, and she said it's urgent" my mom says

"What's wrong?" I asks "I don't know, she won't tell me" she says "I'll go there right now" I says "good" my mom kisses my head before I walk away

"Lana?" I asks as I knock on the door, she opens the door and I gets in "there's something I need to tell you" she says

"What is it? You're freaking me out Lana" I says "your friend, John B, was here" she says and I look a her confused

"I know you're looking for the gold, and so is your dad" she says "he's not anymore, he promised mom he isn't" I says shaking my head

"I don't know if it's true but a while ago I heard one of Scooter and Wards conversation, ward was telling Scooter that him, Big John and your father had an argument about a deal they made, probably related to the gold" she starts

"Ward got an angry and he... he injured big John and killed him, after that your dad tossed the body to the sea" she explains "What? No... it- it can't be." I says, refusing to believe jay I just heard.

"why would he do that?" I asks as I starts break down as she hugs me "Why would he do that" I repeats with sobs in her arms "I am sorry baby" she says

My dad was never the best father but he was my dad, he was. After what Lana told me, he's dead to me.

If Big John would've got the help he needed and my dad wouldn't tossed him like nothing maybe he would've be here right now, maybe he would've made it.

"I have to go to John B" I pulls out of the hug "yes, you should" she says "thank you" I says before wiping my tears and running towards the chateau as fast as I could

If John B heard what I just heard he knows Ward and my dad- I mean Frank killed his dad. I don't know what he's planning on doing but I need to make sure he wouldn't do anything stupid.

"Guys!" I says as I was out of breath "Hales?" Jay says as he walk towards me "what's wrong?" Kie asks "ward- he- Big John" I says as I was still out of breath, not able to get the words out

"Haley, breath" Pope says "hey John B" Kie says as we sees John B walks passes us without saying anything, he seems furious, I get why.

"That's not good" I says as I follow him "what the hell is going on?" Jay asks as the rest of them follows us too

"You all right man? What- what's up?" Pope asks as we watch John B aggressively looks for something "John B" I says

"What are you looking for?" Kie asks "please calm down" I says "It's your fault!" John B says pointing at me "what are you talking about?" Pope asks as John B finds Jays fun and takes it

"John B what do you need the gun for?" Jay asks before John B pushed Jay and making him fall to the bed "Jay!" I says

"You good?" I asks as he stands up before he gives me a little nod "John B stop!" I says "John b what are you doing?" Kie asks as John B walks outside

"What are you JJ now?" Pope says before we all follows him "John B what the hell!" Kie says as John B gets on the motorcycle

"Ward and Haley's dad knows about the gold. They killed my dad" he says before he drives away "Haley?" Kie asks "did you knew?" Pope asks

"No! No. I swear I've just heard about that, I was about to tell you" I says "how do you know?" Jay asks "Lana told me after she told him" I answers

"I am so sorry" I start as I takes break before continues "he's my father" I adds "it's not your fault Hales" Kie says

"John B doesn't think that" I says "John B just heard his father is dead, he doesn't think straight" Pope says

"That's why we need to find him and fix everything" I says "we start by looking for him" Kie replies and we all nods

A/n: I am really excited to write the next chapters, it's going to go down real fast.

I am getting to the final episodes of outer banks, I think it will take a while for me to write them because a lot of things happens there, just letting you guys know that I will continue to act 2 in this book.
