"Uh oh. You forgot your keys or something?"  Pope says, it was already morning and the boys finally arrived picking us

"You need a tow?" John B says "don't give them the satisfaction of thinking this worked" Kie whispers "absolutely not" Sarah says "I am satisfied" I says before they both give me a glare, I just shrug it off

"You gotta admit it was funny" John B says "John B" Kie says "uh, what's that?" He say "mastermind huh?"

"I am always planning" he says "some patriarchal bullshit" she says "yeah that sucked" Sarah agrees "I am just glad they haven't killed me" I says "not yet" Sarah corrects

"You still love us though right?" Jay says "eh" I says slowly shaking my head in disagree making him chuckles "you still hate me?" John B asks Sarah "a little. We all gonna get you back when you least expect it"  

"Watch your back boys" Kie says "and Haley" she adds looking at me "don't look at me is was John B's idea" I says "I welcome that challenge" Pope says "me too" Jay says

"So, did you guys, you know..." Pope starts "reconcile our differences?" Kie says "mm-mm" Sarah says, disagree "not even close" Kie says

"But we're... willing to work together" Sarah adds "you know what? That's a victory" John B says "yep" Jay agrees "wiggedy-wiggedy-wiggedy!" Pope says as he and Jay does their handshake as Sarah winks at Kie

"You know what? Hydroponic" Jay says "don't say that" Pope says "all right, shut up. You guys ready to jack some loot?" John B asks "yeah whatever" Kie says as we jump into the HMS Pogue

"You got rope?" John B asks "got it" Pope answers "grappling hook?" John B asks "no grappling hook. We're not Batman"

"Pulley?" John B keeps asking "check" Kie answers "dark clothes?" He asks "Got it" Sarah says "flashlight?"

"Check" I says "all right, good, we're ready" he says "let's go" Kie says "let's go get rich guys" Jay says "yeah. Hell, yeah" Kie says

"Let's go boys" Kie says "and girls" she corrects herself as John B opens the Twinkies door "let's go" Sarah says as we were about to step outside "wait wait" John B says making us stop and look at him

"I wanna say thank you, guys. Seriously. It means a lot to me that you're here tonight" he says "always" Kie says

"Of course man" Pope says "whatever I am here for the gold" I says before he glares at me "sorry for ruining the moment" I says "all right, we done with the circle jerk? Can we go do this?" Jay speaks

"Yeah" John B says "let's get that wheat in the water" Pope says "weed? I am up for weed" Jay says "he said wheat you idiot" I says as we jumped over the fence and walked towards the Crain house

"Shit!" We all says as a light turns on at us as we stands in front of the house, we get down and tries to hide from the light

"Okay so she had motion sensor light" Pope says, pointing it out "we could uh... move really slowly maybe?" Jay offers "what?" I asks "yeah that's not how it works" Pope says

"Oh, shit. Let's throw a rock at it" John B offers "do you want us to get killed?" I asks "that's a really good idea actually let the axe murder know that we're here" Kie sarcastically says

"Throw a rock at it?" Pope says "you have a better idea?" John B asks "literally anything but that" Kie says

"What about the beaker? In the circuit box on the porch, we used to play hide and sick here as kids and if we were brave enough we'd go all the way up to the porch. I've seen it" Sarah speaks

"No, no. You're not going in the house alone" John B says "watch me" Sarah says "he's right, you can't go there alone, I'll go with you" I says "Hales you haven't grew up here or hear the stories, Crain chops people into pieces" Jay says

"If you believe that but she's like what, 85?" Sarah says "yeah something like that" Jay says "she's probably barley still kicking" Sarah says "I'll go with y'all" Kie says "yeah more company" I says

"We'll wait for your signal" Pope says "okay cool" Sarah says "if you'll die I am not carrying your body" Jay says "oh come on I am pretty easy"

"Come on we gotta go" Kie says "oh but play 'born to die' in my funeral please" I says making Jay chuckle before I follow Kie and Sarah

"She must have a generator plugged into the main power supply" Kie says "where are the breakers?" Sarah asks as we get to the porch "what is this?" Kie asks "shit" I says

"it goes inside" Kie says before they walks inside the house "oh are we doing it?" I asks as I hesitate to step inside the house "fuck it" I says following them

"Sarah, Kie" I whispers as I was pointing on a wire coming through the wall "yeah yeah" Sarah says as we were following the wire, we finds the breaker making all of us chuckle

"All right" I whispers as I tries to switch the click quite but it still made a huge sound "we did it" Kie whispers before we hears noises making us stick to the wall "shit" Sarah whispers as she was looking at us

"We're going to die" I whispers as we hear someone coughs and walks towards us "shut up!" Sarah whispers-yells

"It's- it's late, Leon" we hears Mrs Crain and I look at Sarah and Kie with widen eyes, at this point I was terrified "too late" she adds as she was coughing

I bites my lips as she walks pass us, trying not to make any sound "I can hear you Leon. I've been waiting for you!" she says as she suddenly look directly at us and shouts the last senate "Go! Go!" Sarah yells as we starts running

"Leon!" Mrs Crain shouts and we were all just running away without thinking, ending up splitting up. I am about to run from outside the house before I hear Kie's yells from other side of the house

I rushes to her voice direction, when I get there I sees Sarah and Kie getting into a different room blocking the door but I don't see Crain there "Sarah! Kie!" I yells before I feel a harsh punch in my leg from a cold metal making me fall down

When I look behind me I sees Crain standing in the top of me with a fire pocker, she is about to hit me again, I struggles to stand up, my leg is hurting and I can barely walk.

Then Sarah suddenly appears taking the fire pocker from Crain's hand as Kie helps me stand up

"Hales you're bleeding" Kie says "I am fine, just run away without me I'll slow you guys down" I says "no way" Kie says "this way! It goes underneath the house!" Sarah says as Kie put her hand on my hips helping me walk faster as I was limping

"guys!" Sarah yells to the boys "what's going on?" Pope asks "Hales!" Jay says as he notices my leg, him and Pope were holding the rope that holds John B

"Mrs Crain! She is up there!" Sarah say "she tried to kill us with a fire pocker" Kie explains as she lays me on the floor and I sits down "Haley your leg" Pope says "thank you Pope, I just couldn't see the bleeding without you" I sarcastically says

"Are you okay?" Jay asks "I am fine we just need to get out of here" I says "okay, code red" Jay says

"We have to go!" Sarah says "let's go John B! get back on man!" Jay yells to him "hold on! I am coming" John B yells as Kie and Sarah goes to help Jay and John B holding the rope while I was just sitting unable to help them, feeling useless

"What's going on?" I asks as I hear John Bs yelling but couldn't understand what he was saying "I can't understand" Kie says "yo, he's drowning! We gotta pull him up!" Kie says "what?" I asks, I groans trying to stand up

"No, no, no, no, no. Sit dow, we got this" Jay looks at me, I gives him a nod before I sits ba down "hey John B! Get back on the rope. we're gonna pull you back up okay, buddy?" Pope says

"No! Jay!" I screams as I see Crain goes down the stairs towards us before we hears gunshot, we all screams. They pulls John B up and rams away

"Hales!" Jay yells rushing towards me and helps me get away from her "she can't aim for shit" Kie says "she can't see" Sarah says "she's blind" Kie realises before we hear another gunshot "Jay run!" I yells as the rest of them were running away

"Not without you" he says as we hear another gunshot "you're not dying because of me!"I yells at him again "please" I begs with a breaking voice as he shakes his head before he carries me to Twinkie as we hear another gunshots

we gets to the Twinkie and he lays me on the front seat before he gets to the driver seat "why are we always getting shot at?" Pope whines as Jay starts the car "come on! John B run!" Kie says as he was running towards the Twinkie

"Get in!" Kie says before he jumps in covered in mud "JJ drive!" Sarah yells "go man!" Pope says "Oh my god!" Jay says with a laugh as we gets away from the Crain's house

"Are you okay? Are you shot?" Jay asks John B "No" he answers "I think I'd know if I got shot right?" Kie says "you look disgusting" Pope says looking at John B

"God you smell like ass" Kie says "what the hell just happened" Sarah says "all time Pogue hall of Fame, Babur" Jay says "hell yeah" Kie says

"That bitch is possessed" Kie says "that bitch can't aim" Sarah says "I almost lost a leg because of that blind bitch" I complains "how does she move that fast?" Pope asks

"She's possessed" Kie repeats "I don't get it" Pope says "she's blind" Sarah says "like master Yoda" Pope says "Dunno" Sarah says "are you good?" Jay asks me "yeah, I am fine" I answers

"What is that?" Kie asks making me look at them, I see John B raising a gold from his pocket "no you didn't!" Sarah says "we did it, baby!" John B says "no you didn't!" Sarah repeats

"I did it!" John B yells "oh, my, god!" Jay yells "holy shit!" I yells before we all starts screaming and laughing "that's gold!" Jay yells "wait wait!" Kie says

"Guys we're gonna be rich!" She adds "full kook!" John B says before we all starts cheering "full kook" unison in yelling

"Don't move" Jay says as he was disinfecting my cut from the old crazy lady. We're in my house, my dad wasn't home and my mom likes Jay so she don't mind when he stays.

"I hate that old ass lady" I groans "well... I warned you" he says "to my defence, I didn't actually believed she was an actual axe murder, no one did!" I says

He was about to speak but before he could have said anything I interrupts him "don't you dare say 'I told you so," I warns him before he smirks at me

"I am done" he says "thank you" I says as he lays next to me in my bed "alway" he faces me "and thank you for not leaving me today and basically saving my ass" I adds

"Thank you for not dying" he says "no problem, I'll try not to die tomorrow as well if that's okay" I laughs "I am serious Hales, I can't afford to lose you"

"You won't" I shakes my head "I know I won't, I'd make sure of that" he nods. for a few seconds we stare at each other with silent until I leans a kiss on his lips and break that silence 

"what about Rafe?" He asks as he pulls away "I broke up with him" I answers "wait really? When?" He asks "before midsummers" I answers, he nods before he kisses me again and slowly slide his hand into my hair

"I love you" he says "I've never felt that way about anyone before" he adds "no one ever spoke to me like that" I says

"Can I ask you something?" He speaks "sure" I answers "why didn't you tell me about you and Rafe earlier?" He asks. He isn't upset, he was just curious "it's stupid" I says

"What is it?" He asks "it's just... I was scared that if you'd know it, it would pressure me to be with you" I says

"And it's not because I don't want to be with you, I really like you Jay. But sometimes when I was with Rafe we... we've done things I didn't really wanted because I felt like I had to" I explains

"What do you mean you felt like you had to?" He asks "I was scared that if I won't do it he'd leave me, it wasn't his fault or anything he didn't knew I felt that way, but you know... he's older and he wants more" I says

"But he should've asked" he says "maybe, but it doesn't matter now" I says "I need you to promise me that if I would do something you're uncomfortable with you'd let me know" he says

"I promise" I says "Good" he says kissing my forehead, I hugs him and we falls asleep that way.
