The Plan

(Lastly on Fever Amends)

Alya- "As a date!?"

Marinette- "We didn't put a label on it..."

Adrien- "I need to talk to Marinette. We need to be alone."

Nino- "You got it dude."

(Back to the present)

Marinette stood frozen at the view in front of her. She was in what appeared to be an old study. Furniture, woodwork, and the paintings all seemed 19th century. The only way she could tell she was still in modern Paris was how she came in. Another thing was the blond headed figure sitting at the desk studying an old typewriter.

    Flashback

Marinette was sitting cross legged on Alya's couch while Alya herself was completely upside down. They had eaten lunch together and were now kinda bored watching the new Miraculous movie. They had both already seen it but decided to watch it again just to laugh at how inaccurate some parts were. And for Marinette to swoon at hearing Adrien's voice for Chat Noir. Ironic, right?

Suddenly, Alyas phone dinged and she reached for it, quickly unlocking it to look at her notifications. Her eyes widened and she tried to get upright but completely fell off the couch onto the ground.

Marinette laughed at her friend's odd fall until she saw the look in Alyas eyes. It was the same one when she had a great vlog opportunity or a plan to get Marinette and Adrien together.

"What is it? Akuma?" Marinette tensed even though there was already an akuma attack earlier that day.

Alya shook her head and got up from her awkward position on the floor. "Nope, even better." She said.

Mari snorted. "What could possibly be better than an akuma." She said sarcastically which made Alya laugh too. "So what is it?"

"Nope. I won't tell you. But you have to come with me." Alya said, picking up her glasses which had fallen and tossing Mari her bag which woke Tikki up. As Alya made her way towards the door, Marinette opened the bag to see a sleepy Tikki nod assuringly before she ran out the door after Alya.

"So we're going somewhere? Right now!?" Mari said as she caught up with her friend.

"Yes. Now come on." Alya replied and pulled her arm towards a small shop and then directly into the dressing rooms. "Stay right there, I'll be back." She said and left Mari to sit down on the small bench.

"Tikki? What do you think Alya's up to?" she asked the small kwami who shrugged her shoulders.

    "Who knows."

Three minutes later, Alya came in with a few clothes in Marinette's size and told her to change. When she was done she came out in a red knee length dress with the top layer lace and had no sleeves and a black cropped jacket that fit her arms smuggly. Mari liked it but was confused.

Alya gave a thumbs up and took Mari's other clothes, including her purse which still contained Tikki and her phone in it, then dragged Mari to a hair and makeup section. She sat her down in a chair and a woman came up and began doing some light makeup and styling her hair. Marinette was now beyond confused, confuzzled.

When that was done, Mari had rosy lips and cheeks with black mascara. Her hair was half up half down, braided from the edges in, with her bangs still framing her face.

Suddenly she was pulled from her chair by her best friend and pulled towards the exit. "Wait! Don't we need to pay? And why'd we do all this?" Mari cried out.

"I already paid, and I'm not telling you." Alya toled the now dolled up girl as she dragged her along.

"Can I have my purse back?" Marinette asked Alya who suddenly paused at the question to type something into her phone.

It dinged and she read something on it before putting it back and continuing to pull Marinette along. "Nope."

They crossed a street and paused at the end of it. Suddenly, Alya got something out of her bag and put it over Marinette's eyes as a blind fold. "What's this for?" She said slightly panicked at her sight being taken away.

"You'll see." Alya said slyly and pulled Mari along.

"Haha, very funny." Marinette deadpanned. She was pulled along and heard a door open before feeling the sensation of moving from the sun's natural heat to the cool of indoor air conditioning.

"Good job getting her here so last minute." said a familiar voice responded to with Alya's chuckle.

"Nino?" She said and was met with dead silence from the two before being pulled, somewhere...

She was then pushed through a doorway where they suddenly took her blindfold off. Alya and Nino stood there with faces as though this was her surprise birthday party. "Tada!" They said in unison to Mari's still confuzzled face.

"And good luck!" Alya shouts to her then they shut the door in her face. That's when she turned around.

    Flashback over.

Adrien hadn't looked up at the sound of his friends or the door being shut and continued to study the old typewriter. He pressed a button on it which caused a clicking sound and the opening of a drawer.

That's when Marinette knew... This was an escape room.

She was alone in an escape room with Adrien and without her phone much less Tikki.

Adrien looked at the open drawer with a satisfied glint in his eye before looking up and having his breath taken away with the view. This was Alya's fault. She was not told to dress Marinette up like this, but she (and Nino) felt this would be a test for Adrien, see how he reacts.

Well... his reaction was this. Silence. Better yet, they were both speechless. Both for different reasons but still, speechless was speechless. "U-um, you look beautiful." Adrien managed to stutter out, his voice also rising an octave.

Marinette blushed so red it appeared she just ran a marathon and had gotten a sunburn (cause let's be realistic. Her face couldn't possibly be the same shade as her suit).

"T-thanks..." she answered and lowered her eyes to the floor as she felt she was about to combust.

Adrien shook his head erratically to try and sober himself up. After this he noted she didn't have her purse which probably meant she didn't have her phone or kwami. 'Purrfect'. He thought.

"Uum," Mari spoke up. "What am I doing here? And how did you do that?" She said gesturing to the desk he now stood in front of.

He turned to look at it. "Oh that? Yeah, one of the keys wasn't in the right place so I pressed it and that happened." He answered her last question not yet ready to move onto the first.

She nodded and looked at him, he found himself holding his breath. "I suppose we find a way to escape now?" she questioned and he nodded. 'Nino's idea isn't the best. This is plenty distracting." Adrien sighed, cause at this moment he knew, it wouldn't be easy to bring up the most important thing lined up on the docket.

(Alino a.k.a. DJWIFI)

"Why do you think Adrien wanted to be alone with Marinette in there." Alya said as they sat in a waiting room.

"I don't know as long as they come out holding hands and Adrienette is cannon, I'm down." Nino replied, allowing Alya to snuggle up to him on the love seat they currently occupied.

Alya sighed. "Even if that happens, do you think we'll ever know what happens in there. Adrien ordered no cameras, no recordings to look back upon."

"Well... we never told them what happened in that cage so chances are they're going to keep this a secret from us as well."

    "Good point."
