Sneak Peek

(lastly on fever amends)

Plagg- "Is she still 'just a friend'? No wonder they call you a cinnamon roll."

Adrien- "What do you mean?"

Chat Noir- "Goodnight Princess, I'll find some way to thank you."

(Back to the present!..., or five hours later)

The students arrived at Frances DuPont refreshed and ready for the day. I'll admit some more than others.

They knew that all they had to do today was get through a few hours of priso- I MEAN, school. After that was the dance, which also meant that hel- I MEAN, school was almost over.

They were all very excited. Truth is, I doubt they would learn anything today. I mean, how much do you learn on a day like this!

I'm REALLY getting off-topic here, maybe we should just zoom in on our favorite ships. Adrienette and DJWIFI.

After getting five more hours of sleep, Adrien was no longer sick but was stuck thinking about ways to thank his princess.

That particular princess had woken up (after her alarm of course) satisfied that Chat was gone and she swiftly prepared for school. She also had put the dresses and masks into garment bags so to give it to Alya.

Alya and Nino, being slightly normal, came to school excited for the dance that night. They had both worked hard playing their part to make the special night happen, so they had rested well, acknowledged their good work then joined their best friends. They were all now in the locker room once again.

"Oh my gosh, you did this yourself! I can't believe it! They're amazing!" Alya praised her best friend as she looked at the dresses she had made.

"You really like them," Marinette asked her best friend, slightly leaning in with a wide smile.

Alya almost had literal tears of joy in her eyes, "They're the most glorious things I've ever seen. I'm lucky to have you as a best friend." Marinette fell back and smiled more genuinely only to hug the blogger tightly.

    "Oh Alya, me too."

They both released the hug and continued to admire the masks and dresses which were hidden from everyone else in the locker room. Eventually, Adrien and Nino walked over to the two girls.

    "Hey dudettes!"

    "Hey Marinette, Alya!"

Marinette jumped at the voice, startled that somehow it had ended up right next to her. "Adrien!"

Adrien noticed the bag in Marinette's hands and his eyes drifted to the dresses inside. Marinette was too lovestruck to notice so Alya stepped in pulling the bag from her friend's hands and hiding it.

    "Hey! No peeking"

Adrien's head snapped up in shock and slight embarrassment. He then started stuttering helplessly (HELPLESS, LOOK INTO YOUR EYES AND THE SKYS THE LIMIT, okay I'm done.)

    "Uh, Huh!? I-i,.. What!"

"Dude," Nino said from next to him, hand on his shoulder to stop the flustered boy's rambling.

"Right." Adrien's face burned red hot in embarrassment as his friends started to laugh it off. Then they quickly changed the subject for his sake.

"You look like you're feeling better," his best bud spoke again.

Adrien looked up grateful, his eyes making their way to Marinette who was looking away. "Yeah."

Then they all went to class, ready to endure the almost useless school day.

    (time skip)

Throughout that day, everyone just continued to get more excited. The last class of the day had been Ms. Mandeleiv which she had to dismiss everyone early because they couldn't get anything done.

Now here they were in the courtyard, deciding to keep Adrien company till he was gone. Alya and Mari were also holding the garment bags while talking.

Suddenly the Gorilla drove up in front of the school honking for Adrien to come and get in.

"Whelp, See you all tonight." Adrien sighed standing up to walk off.

"You bet!" Nino said.

"Unless, of course, we can't find each other," Marinette said a doubtful look on her face.

"No doubts Marienett! We know each other too well for that." Alya said and the three of them gave her an encouraging smile.

"Yeah, your right," Mari said with refreshed confidence.

Adrien smiled to himself, 'I'll thank her tonight since I know her dress' he thought. Subconsciously he was looking at Marinette and winked at her before walking off (your chat is showing).

Behind him, Marinette had a very confused look on her face but decided to forget about it when the group dispersed to get ready. The dance was in two hours and they had much to prepare.

(Two filler chapters in a row!?! What is wrong with you!  Yeah, sorry about that. The next ones an eventful chapter though. I was also listening to Hamilton while writing this to answer any questions.
