Blueberry Cinnamon Rolls

(previously on Fever Amends)

Plagg- "Do you know how late it is?"

Adrien- "I don't think that means I'm going to sleep."

Plagg- "But you need sleep."

Adrien- "Your right Plagg, thank you."

(back to the present)

It was ten in the morning and Marinette had gotten up from a wonderfully refreshing sleep. She made herself some breakfast and went down to the bakery in order to say good morning to her parents. She found her mother in the back boxing up some treats for a baby shower. "Good morning dear."

"Good morning Maman. Ooo, someone's getting a baby girl." Marinette said while going over to help her mom with the boxes.

Sabine chuckled while grabbing half of the boxes and going to put them in the delivery car. "Twins actually."

"Aaawwww, ask them to send pictures once they're born." Marinette said while helping with boxes then closing the trunk.

"Sure. I'll be back in half an hour. Can you do a shift at the register while I'm gone." Sabine asked while getting in and starting the car.

Mari gave a thumbs up "Of course. Bye maman, love you."

"Love you too sweetie." Sabine called back as she drove off. Once the car had rounded the corner, Marinette went back inside the bakery.

She went to the back and found her father, apron covered in flour while he kneaded some dough and hummed a toon. Marinette went over to the aprons and tied her special one embroidered with flowers and the bakery logo and tied it on her back.

"Morning Papa." She said in the middle of the knot.

"Good morning Angel Cake." (Is that considered a pun?) Tom said while flipping the dough.

"Mom left to deliver the catering, I'll be working a shift at the counter if you knead me." (that's definitely a pun) Marinette said before going to the door that led to the main part of the bakery.

"Okay, don't forget to tell Libby." He said and went back to humming.

Marinette went through the carved and polished batwing doors that led from the ovens t0 behind the counter. She saw Libby handing change and a bag with the bakery logo on it to a customer. "Bon Appetit."

Libby, short for Elizabeth, was a highschool graduate who had been working for the Dupain- Chengs for College money and experience. She had a skill for artistic baking and other culinary skills that she wanted to improve in college. Tom and Sabine had heard this as she was one of their friend's daughters and had invited her to work for them. She had expected it because it was good to see the inner workings of the family 0wned business and the Dupain-Chengs were also really nice people.

Since she had begun working small shifts here and there, Libby had become good friends with Marinette. It came to the point that while they were working together they would talk about everything, including Adrien. (Not to worry, this doesn't mean Alya's not her best friend any more. Libby's like twenty remember?)

"Hey Libby." Marinette greeted cheerfully as the bell from the door chimed signifying a hungry customer.

"Bonjour Marinette." Libby replied while blinking her blue-green eyes then turning to the customer. "Hello Monsieur, what can I get you."

A friendly looking man stood in front of the counter and seemed to be contemplating what he wanted. He lifted a finger indicating that he hadn't yet decided and would tell her in a minute. Libby nodded and turned to give Mari her attention.

"So? Tell me what happened at the dance last night." She said with curiosity and excitement strapped to her voice.

Marinette giggled and walked closer to the glass display counter, ready to get whatever this customer ordered. "Getting straight to the point, aren't you."

"Yeah. I'm an adult. I don't have time to talk about meaningless matters that you children entertain yourselves with." She said sillily straightening her posture and tilting her chin up.

"Has anyone ever told you, you try too hard?" Mari said teasingly before instantly changing to polight in order to ask the man if he'd decided.

Libby shoved Mari playfully and chuckled as she almost fell over then turned to glare slightly.

"I'll take a box of a dozen macarons, four pistachio, four apricot, and the rest I'll have lavender coconut." He said pointing out each one as Marinette took a box and began filling it up with the macaroons.

"Anything else sir." She asked as she sat it on the counter and Libby began to ring up the price.

"Yes, and two Pain aux raisins. That's all." He said and Marinette once again loaded the pastries into a bag before setting them on the counter. Libby typed in the last bit and quickly took over.

"That will be 9.15." She said and he handed her the money, took the pastries and left with a polite 'merci'.

While the man was thinking, a small line had built up behind him so both Libby and Marinette got to work.

(20 years later) (years=minutes)

The line had disappeared and dispersed into happy and satisfied customers who knew this was the best bakery in Paris.

"We're out of croissants. I'll go get some more from your dad." Libby told Marinette as she took the empty tray through the batwing doors and into the kitchen.

Mari busied herself with washing down the glass display counter while waiting for Libby or a customer. To her... uh, luck. The door opened and a light ding was heard.

"What can I get for y- ADRIEN!"

Libby was coming back with fresh croissants but heard the name and peeked around the corner to see Marinette staring at a blond headed boy, then she smirked. 'Maybe I have to use the bathroom.' the thought to herself and left the two alone.

Adrien's POV

I decided to take Plaggs' advice. It was Saturday and it wouldn't hurt to have a little breakfast out of the house. A late breakfast but still, breakfast is breakfast.

I also made a deal with him, but now that I'm here, I fail to see how I benefit from it.

I opened the door and heard a little chime before hearing an angelic voice from behind the counter. She was so cute and her bluebelle eyes were so enchanting.

I heard her screech my name and it snapped me out of whatever trance she had unknowingly put me under. 'Say something' I racked my brain for an answer. 'Will you marry me and be mine forever?' nope too forward. 'What do you want to name our children, Milady?' what is wrong with me! 'Hey purrincess. Meow are mew this feline morning.' too much like Chat Noir, but the beginning was good. 'Hey.'

"Hey!" eh no... her name? Yeah. "Marinette."

Normal

'WHAT DO I DO! I can't do this now, I'm working. Where's Libby. ELIZABETH GRACE! I NEED YOU! Ok, how about I just be calm. Pretend he's a different boy. Kim, Ivan, Max. NO it's too weird. Chat Noir! Why him? Because I don't know who he is and so I can imagine it. NO! I just imagined Adrien in a sexy catsuit. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!'

"Uh, heEeEYyYyYy." Marinette said leaning on the table and stretching out the hey. "Ahem. Did you want something?" 'Oh My Gosh! Of course he did, why do you think he came here. For you?'

'Yeah, you.' Adrien's mind thought. "Uh, yeah. I wanted some macaroons and stuff but I also wanted to hang out with you, if that's okay. Maybe tell me when you're free and we can talk at the park or by the seine." Adrein got out quick yet as calm as he could while itching at the nip of his neck.

Meanwhile, Marinette's mind had gone blank. "Abosutly..." she breathed out and Adrien smiled confused. "I MEAN! Ahem... How bout I get your order and we can go have a picnic while we talk. I'll be done in five minutes, then we'll go. Okay?"

"Yeah, sure. Sounds great!" Adrien gave a dorky smile.

"Is there anything specific you'd like?" Marinette asked.

"Um... macaroons. Passionfruit, blueberry, and blue cheese." He listed off on his fingers as Mari paid close attention. "A camembert tart and some croissants."

"I didn't know you like camembert?" Marinette asked, confused.

"I don't. But I made a deal with a friend that I'd get him some if he did something for me." Adrien explained. (But we all know who he's really talking about.)

"Okay, I'll be back in five, you can just uhh, sit." Mari smiled toothily and disappeared from Adrien's sight as he sighed in relief.

(I was rolling with something and this Chapter just happened. I'm now thinking this book might be a bit longer than I intended, so yeah.

Warning! May have a bad ending! XD
