It was during a chilly night in December when you crossed paths with him.

You entered the cafe with a thick scarf wrapped securely around your neck. Alongside you were your friends Raylee and Beth. Laughter filled the quiet Cafe as you all stumbled to the register to place an order. You all ordered a large cup of coffee before taking a seat at a table away from the window.

When you sat down is when you made eye contact with him, who was already watching you intently. You shoot him a small smile before engaging in small conversation with your friends.

Unbeknownst to you he continues to stare and it was only a matter of time before one of your friends took notice. That just happened to be Raylee.

"Why the hell is he staring at you like that, fucking creep." He spats, gaining the attention of you and Beth.

"What are you talking about?" Beth asks, slightly turning in her seat to get a glimpse of who Raylee's glaring at. "Oh." Her face falls in realization, leaving you utterly confused.

"What- what's the matter?" Disregarding your question Raylee abandons his cup of coffee and approaches the boy. The pretty boy's smile is shielded by Raylee's back.

"Listen to me you ice headed freak stop staring at her or-"

"Or you'll what?" The pretty boy cuts him off quietly with a devilish smirk. This only adds to Raylee's anger so he doesn't hesitate to grab him by the collar of his expensive brown coat.

"Or I'll kick your fu-" Your gentle touch on Raylee's shoulder halts the foul words which were about to leave his mouth.

You were so much more beautiful up close.

"Hey  I'm sorry about him, please excuse us." You bow before dragging Raylee out the door with Beth close behind you.

Once outside you shout into the chilly air, "What the hell was that for?" Beth and Raylee both eye each other before looking at you, as if you were some sort of dummy. 

"You really never heard of that ice skating creep, he literally stares at you all the fucking time." Raylee explains.

"Exactly, he's a weirdo and a creep, we would tell you more but it's getting late." Beth adds, pulling her phone out of her jean pocket and checking the time. "I'll see you later." She smiles, embracing you into a warm hug. But you were not ready for them to leave just yet, especially since they had your curiosity peaked.

"How's he a-"

"Don't worry we'll talk more about it during school." Raylee grins, embracing me into a hug also.

"Okay."  You reason softly watching as they both went their separate ways, leaving you to stand in front of the cafe  alone.
