The morning of celebrations and festivities dawned...
Shivangi was going to get mehndi applied for her engagement to Parth..
In the morning, Shivangi, who had a separate room, was woken up by the constant, loud banging of the door.

Shivangi got down from her bed.. unbolted the door and again crashed on her bed..

"Arre!!! Pagal ladki!!! Uth ja...
Aaj sagai hai teri!!!!!!!
Mehendi hai...
SHIVANGIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!", Shivangi's mother and maasi screamed in her ears.

She finally woke up.. on hearing about the mehendi and engagement..

"Ja shudaain ladki... Ja ke taiyyar ho ja..
Kuch khaale... Varna phir mehendi lag jaayegi..", Shivangi's maasi said to her and then she went to get ready..

"Kitniiiii sundar lag rahi hai Shivangi!!!!!", Her mother exclaimed and almost started crying.

"Yaar mumma!!! Please ro mat... Chalo lets go and eat something..", Shivangi quietened her and they proceeded towards the dining area..

All of them then sat down for breakfast..
Shivangi was eating when..

"Theek se kha lena beta.. varna phir mehndi lag jaayegi.. to der lagegi sookhne mein..", Parth's mother called out from one corner of the table.

"Ji aunty...", Shivangi nodded smilingly.
She just loved her future mother in law, probably as much as she loved Parth, and sometimes more.

Shivangi had just got back to eating, when came an expert comment..

"Kha kha ke phat jaana!!!!!"

She turned around to see Parth and Karan remark together...

"Shut up!!!", She screamed out and got back to finishing her breakfast.. because she had to start getting the mehndi applied.

"Koi nayi baat bolo Parth... Yeh to aadat hai iski.."

"Phati nahi hai abhi tak bas..."

"Aise khaati rahegi.. to woh din door nahi hai!!"

Shivangi slapped her forehead...
She didn't even need to turn...
She knew it was them...
It had to be them...
And there can absolutely not be given points for guessing...

"Kha lene do usko... Kya tum log?!??", Shivangi's mami reacted as she giggled.

"Jaldi kha na?!!!!!
Mujhe tujhe kuch bohot interesting dikhaana hai..", Parth spoke to Shivangi in absolute excitement.

"Kya?!", Shivangi asked in excitement and amusement. Parth's expressions were enough to amuse and excite her, at the same time.

"Tu notice kar rahi hai?!!!", He asked in a loud whisper.

"Kya??!!!!", Shivangi asked again.

"Ki tere jeevan mein jo mahilayen hain, woh kahan hai abhi?!", he said in pure hindi.

"Mahilayen??!!!! Like seriously Parth?!!
Achha anyways hain kahan saari ladkiyan??", Shivangi asked.

"Chal mere saath..
Ho gaya na tera breakfast..?!!", He held her hand.

"Haan.. chal rahi hu naa?!", Shivangi blushed, as everyone from her family and her friends smirked and smiled seeing Parth holding her hand.
Parth then took Shivangi with him...

"Yeh dekh!!!! Yeh madam yahan pata nahi kya kar rahi hain...
Kuch kha bhi le.. breakfast kiya?!!", Parth slapped on her head playfully.

"Hi gorgeous!!!!", Charlie turned to them and exclaimed, and hugged Shivangi...

"Hutttt!!!!!!!", She hit parth on his chest.

"Helloooo!!!!!! Thank you for coming...", Shivangi exclaimed to Charlie.

The three of them were chatting when Parth's phone beeped..

"Yeh dekh zara... Madam humse nahin mili hain abhi tak...
Aur picture usse pehle hi upload ho gayi hai..
Kya hoga aaj kal ki ladkiyon ka!!", he slapped his forehead as he showed Shivangi Arisha's latest Instagram post.

Shivangi and Parth then went to meet Arisha..

Next.. they reached where Leena Di was standing and getting herself clicked..

"Humse bhi mil lo... Photo hi khichaati reh jaana!", Parth gave Leena Di a side hug.

"Woh dekho zara... side lawns mein.. zameen pe baithi hai woh!!!
Matlab maine rooms.. aur dining area bekaar mein hi book karaaye hain!!", Parth's remark dripped in sarcasm and jest, again, making Shivangi giggle.

He was referring to Scarlett..

"Mujhse bhi mil lo!!!!!!!!", Ananya called out from a distance.. as she stood on the stairs... giggling..

"Aa phir?!!!", Shivangi called out to her and they hugged as Parth smiled at their relationship.. the roommates for ever...

Everyone was now done with their breakfasts and were going outside for the mehndi..
The garden wasn't open... because apparently, Parth had a surprise for everybody.
The families and friends were all busy in the final touches of preparations and their own selves, when Parth pulled Shivangi away from everyone's eyes..

And took her towards the garden.
He made her lean against a pillar.. and stood in front of her...

"Tu ne to kaha tha ki mehndi... Ek proper function nahi hai..?", he asked softly.. with his hands resting on either sides of the pillar... As if stopping her from going anywhere..

"Haan to nahi hai.. yeh proper function..", Shivangi remarked normally.

"Nahi tu itni zyaada khoobsurat lag rahi hai.. to mujhe laga...", Is all that he said and pecked her lips..

"Stop it Parth!!!
Chhodo mujhe...
Abhi sab log aate honge.. tumhara surprise dekhne...
Hato?!!", She said and pushed him away.

She had hardly moved a few steps away from Parth when he held her hand and pulled her towards himself... Making him collide with his strong chest..

"Kya kar rahe ho?!!!", She gave him a questionable and surprised look, her cheeks slowly turning pink, as she tried to control her blushing.

"Haath pakad raha tha.. phir mehndi lag jaayegi to kaise pakdoonga..", he made a puppy dog face, making her giggle.

"Tum kitne cute ho tumko pata hai?!!", she remarked and he nodded like a baby.

Shivangi was about to say something.. when he shut her eyes...

"Ab kya hai???", She asked as she placed her hands on his long fingers.. the fingers, which she somehow absolutely loved..

"Main chahta hoon ki mera surprise sabse pehle tu dekhe..", he said and with her eyes shut, he held her hand and took her with him.

"Parth...
Kya hai??!!
Kaisa surprise hai??!!
Kahan leke jaa rahe ho??
Parth??!!!!!", Shivangi asked.

"Arre...
Chal to sahi...
Kitne questions!!!!!!", He said and took her to the garden.

He removed his hands from her eyes.. and she very slowly, opened her eyes..

"Wow Parth!!!!!!!!
Yeh sab kisliye???", Shivangi asked in awe.

"Teri mehndi ke liye..?!", he shrugged his shoulders.

"Mehndi ke liye itni decoration kyun?!
Humko to simple sa rakhna tha naa..?!", she remarked.

"Haan...
But I couldn't help it..
I really wanted to make this special for you...
TERI MEHNDI HAI YAAR!!!!!", He remarked... As excitedly as Shivangi.

"Thank youuuuuuuuu!!!!!", She had tears in her eyes.

"Woh kitna sundar lag raha hai!!!!!", Shivangi pointed at the pink area...
Which was the centre of attraction..
and started walking towards that area.

"Ek second.. ek second!!!
Vahan jaane ka raasta swimming pool ke through hai..
Swim karke jaana padega!", He smirked.

"Very funny!!!!
Shut up..", she said and was about to go when suddenly, Parth placed his hands on her bare back and took her in his arms.

"PARTH!!!!!!
Parth please neeche utaaro... Pleaseeeee!!!!
Mera lehenga kharaab ho jaayega..
Dekho please mujhe neeche utaaro...", She almost begged as she clutched him tightly.

"Kuch nahi hoga..
Lehenga geela nahi hoga..
Tu bas chup reh..", he said.

"Parth geela ho jaayega lehenga!!!!", Shivangi remarked again and this time, Parth didn't utter a single word to shut her up.. he just gently kissed Shivangi on her lips.. making her absolutely silent.

Then, through the swimming pool, he took her to the other side.
He got out of the swimming pool and then put her down..

"Bade pagal ho tum!!!!! Mera lehenga...", And she was shut..

He placed his index finger on her glossy lips..
And moved his other hand's fingers all across her neck and collarbone..
He then kissed her neck... And then her shoulders and yet again, for the third time since morning, moved up.. towards the lips.

"Parth..", shivangi said and placed her hand on his mouth..

She then held his cheek with one hand.. placed her other hand on his shoulder.. and then kissed him on his cheek.

Parth then pointed towards the decorated area...
And shivangi was completely awestruck..
The area looked way more beautiful and stunning from close..

The lovebirds were about to get into their regular romance when everyone came in..
They were all very excited to see the entire decor and setup..

Soon the application of Mehndi began...
There were enough mehendi artists for all the ladies..
After about an hour and a half.. mehendi had been applied and lunch was being served..

Shivangi wasn't hungry but wanted water..
Her mehndi had almost dried except the fingertips..
There was a glass of water that was placed before her on the table...
She pushed away the coaster and was struggling to hold the glass.. when he came...
He held the glass and took it to her mouth..
She drank water and then he placed the glass back on the table.
There was water on her lips... So he gently wiped the water from near her lips.. sending her jitters because of his touch.

"Kuch aur laaoon??", He asked softly.

"Nahi...
Kuch nahi.
Thank you!", She smiled.
He kissed her forehead and then went away.

It was almost time for sunset.. when Parth came to where all the girls and ladies were sitting and talking..

"Umm...
Shivangi..
Zara aayegi?!", He asked shyly.

"Kyun?!!!
Humare saath bhi baith lene de..
Permanently de rahe hain ise tujhe..!!", Ananya smirked.

"Yaar...
Bas thodi der..
Please...", He remarked earnestly.. as if taking permission.

"Kyun?!!
Kahan... Leke kahan jaana hai..?!!
Aur kaam kya hai?!!
Kitni der ke liye leke jaaoge?!!
Bolo bolo?!!", Ananya asked.

"Yaar Ananya...
Tujhe meri side leni chahiye..
Maa hai kya tu iski?", Parth asked surprisingly.

"Excuse me?!!!", Shivangi's mother got up.

"Aunty mera woh matlab nahi tha...
I meant..
Woh actually..
Main woh..", and everybody was in splits.

"Ja le jaa...
Par bohot der nahi..", shivangi's maasi said and Shivangi got up.

He kept his hand on her back and they walked away..

"Kahan jaa rahe hain hum?!", She turned to Parth and asked.

"Chal..", is all that he said and they walked...
They walked till they reached the beach..

"I can never get tired of beaches... Isliye.. I thought... Ki thoda relax karne ke liye yahan se better kuch bhi nahi ho sakta..", he heaved a sigh of relief.

"It's beautiful!!!!!!
Look at the horizon?!!", Shivangi remarked and took her phone to click a selfie...
Mehendi was still there on her hands.. but it had dried.

"Idhar aa.. baith!", He remarked softly and then held her hands and made her sit on the rocks..

He took her hands in his hands, gently started scrapping off the dried mehendi and at the same time, spoke..

"Pata hai Shivangi...
Maine bohot wait kiya hai iss din ka...
Jab main kisi ko aise help karoonga...
Meri shaadi... Meri engagement ki mehendi hogi..
Meri family aur mere friends sab saath honge.. khush honge..
Main usa ladki ke saath hoonga.. jo meri life partner hogi...
Meri wife banegi...
Aaj mujhe woh sab sach hota dikh raha hai..
Main sirf tujhe itna kehna chahta hoon... Ki kyunki actor hoon... Actresses ke saath kaam karna mera job hai... I get paid for it..
Lekin kabhi bhi... Koi bhi ladki.. actress ho ya fan.. tujhse upar nahi aayegi.. koi tujhse upar aa hi nahi sakta..
KABHI BHI.
Woh jo sabse oonchi jagah hai na.. woh teri hai..
Aur humesha teri hi rahegi..
Main tujhe masti mein jealous feel karaata rehta hoon...
Par tere jitna special ab meri life mein aur koi nahi hoga...
And that's a promise....

She said and then got up to sit in between his legs..

She then rested herself on his upper torso.. and he rested his head on her shoulders.
He encircled her body and hands by his strong arms and sat very silently..
they closed their eyes and enjoyed the proximity that they shared..
Nothing was more beautiful and calming than each other's arms...
And that's the comfort they were in...
The comfort which they now called their own for their entire lifetimes..
The comfort which would always remain their "go-to" feeling in all situations.. happy and sad..
