Yowling in pain, I struck out a paw, claws slicing through skin as teeth lodged firmly in my shoulder. " Filthy Ravenclan scum!" I snarled, arching my neck and biting down on the soft flesh of their ear, earning a yowl of pain as they jerked back, flesh ripping between my teeth and blood bathing my tongue. Grimacing at the taste, I stepped back, surveying the white Ravenclan apprentice, taking note of the long scratches down her flank, leaving her with a slight limp.

" I'm going to enjoy tearing out your throat," the she-cat spat, amber eyes glinting menacingly as she crouched, muscles bunching underneath her bloody coat. Shivering in fear, I darted forward, slamming a forepaw down on her head before leaping back, unfortunately not being fast enough as teeth latched onto my paw. Yowling in pain, I struggled for footing on the soft ground, panic squirming underneath my pelt as paws slammed into my flank, knocking me off balance as I slammed into the ground, flank throbbing from the hard impact.

Wheezing, I winced as claws tore through my flank, thrashing underneath the grabbing paws, I struck out a paw, hitting a brown-and-white tom squarely in his jaw, knocking his head back and allowing me enough time to scramble to my paws and dart into the battlefield, dodging fighting warriors and weaving between spitting cats. " Goosepaw!" A cat yowled, skidding to a halt at the edge of the battlefield I turned, dread pooling in my stomach as I scanned the clearing, trying to find the cat who called my name. Finding nothing, I blinked in confusion, fear jolting through my body and a cry of surprise tearing from my throat as claws dug into my side, weight slamming into my flank, leaving me tumbling onto my side, twisting and thrashing in an attempt to get free.

Snapping my jaws, tearing fur and flesh, a hiss of pain sounding my ears, I twisted fiercely, dislodging their claws from my coat. Whipping around, I lunged at the black she-cat, landing heavy on my paws as she darted to the side, claws raking down my muzzle.

" Stoneclan mange," the black apprentice spat, pale amber eyes narrowed. Snarling in return, I darted forward, faking a right only to dart left, swiping a paw down her side. Claws hooked into my leg, sending me toppling to the ground with a grunt of surprise, leaving me dazed for a heartbeat.

" Goosepaw!" Ferretpaw shrieked, peering through bleary eyes. I spotted my gray brother a few tree-lengths away, a look of pure panic and desperation on his face. Squinting in confusion, I moved to stand, only to choke in surprise as a heavy weight landed on my back and sharp teeth sunk into the back of my neck, gasping sharply as a white agony flooded my body, leaving me drowning in a wave of pain.

Blacking out on the rest of the world, I struggled to breath through the pain, another burst of agony forced a cry of pain from my throat, coating my mouth with a metallic taste that tasted eerily similar to blood. Darkness ate away at the edge of my vision as a soothing calm washed over my body, the once burning pain reducing to a cold, numb feeling. Sleep tugged at my paws, and without resistance, I sank into the soothing darkness.

Hmmm, I wonder what will happen to Goosepaw?
