By the time Miss Lenne finished calling out the names, Jules already scrambled a whole speech on a sheet of paper, I did not see exactly what he wrote but Clyde did, and from his expression you could notice that It was worth reading.

"Jules Prince, you may introduce yourself now." Miss Lenne smiled brightly as she also saw how excited Jules was, he rose up to his feet, held the paper tightly in front of him and began reading it out loud.

"Hello dear ladies and gentlemen," he paused and widely smiled at everyone as he swung his bangs aside from his eyes, "As you all know me already, I don't think I have to introduce myself much, but because the teacher insists I will. I am the one and only, the mighty Magum of the mightiest, the one you all know the name of, Prince Jules!" he shouted and threw the paper high and it was slowly landing on the ground as no sound could be heard.

People did not know how to react to it, so they just stared at Jules and then at Miss Lenne for help. But unlike them I could hear Clyde and Berwyn giggle as they lowered their heads.

"Hey, you whatever you call yourself, don't get ahead of yourself, nobody knows you here and if you'll keep up with the attitude then nobody will want to either." a guy from the far right corner of the class said as he slammed his palms on the table with a thud.

Jules swung his arm and lay his hand on his forehead as he tilted his head back, "Oh, I had a feeling that something like that will appear, sadly you always run into this kind of people. So let me clear something up for you my sweet classmate, I can only please one person per day, and today doesn't seem like your day." Jules sneaked a smile on his half covered face, "and tomorrow doesn't look good either". Jules sat down slowly on his chair and left the class even more speech less, the only noise that pierced the class were Neige's pencil scrubbing over the paper she was writing on.

Miss Lenne's voice interrupted the silence in the class, "ok, so as everyone have already introduced themselves we can move on to studying." She said enthusiastically as she pulled out a thick book and you could hear the disappointed class sigh. "please walk here one by one to get your book." Was the final thing she said as she pointed towards a stack of books by the board that I hadn't noticed before.

The book was thick and the cover was greenish, it had 'Basic Spells by Edward Black' written on it with a big black font, and the book as well had a magic spell diagram painted on underneath the writing. Great, studying on the first day. I would have been excited but I knew most of these spells already, but I will have to pretend like I don't.

"So my dear students, I'm your basic spells teacher, and in my class you will learn oh so many spells that will help you out in your life, the spells in the book are divided into few sections, it depends on your attribute. As average people have one attribute, there are rare cases of people having more than one, and some even have three attributes which is pretty rare, but there is a legend of a person who appears once in a thousand of years, and has the control over all attributes. This person has the power of all gods. " Miss Lenne said cheerfully as she was explaining to the class.

"You all may know it already but I still got to remind you about it, as well you may all be aware of your attributes, but in this school we have an exam to check your attributes so we can be sure that we can make you the greatest Magums. We will pass through the introduction part in the book on page five to ten and then we will go to the school hall to check your attributes." Miss Lenne opened the book on the right page and started the class introduction, but I got distracted when Clyde sneaked me a folded piece of paper.

It was a small piece of paper that was folded twice, and the neat handwriting on it was written with a simple black pen.

'Did you perhaps hear what the exam to check our attributes consist of?
how will they check it exactly?
P.S. What happened to Berwyn? you returned together and he looks a bit...
troubled. Did anything happen?'

I glanced at Berwyn after reading the note, Berwyn was resting his head on the palm of his hand as he was sitting quietly behind Neige. He didn't look that troubled to me though, although a small frown could be seen on his face covered with bangs, it looked more as he was trying to concentrate than him being stressing over something.

I quickly returned to look at the note and wrote a quick reply back.

After the teacher was done, we all got up to go to the school hall. The school hall was under the cafeteria. It was underground but with light attribute they put a spell on the ceiling, so it's light there just as if you are standing outside. The hall had been divided into three sections, the first year, second year and third year. As we entered the hall, the only empty section was of the first years, as they all have been standing by the stage in the middle of the hall where the teachers quietly sat. In front of the teachers stood a column, it had animals carved on and was around three meters high.

As everyone of the first years gathered in place, we got called one by one to test our attributes. You could hear excited whispers but most of them were nervous as they watched the first person get on the stage.

"Andrew Drake, press your palm against the column, say 'Prospectus' loud and clear, and then let your Industria flow into it." Said on of the teachers I hadn't recognized. Everyone watched with anticipation when a short guy with black hair and thick square glasses walked forward towards the column and did as he was told. After he said the spell a red light passed through his palm and moved towards the animal curves until it stopped by a marmot. The marmot shined with a bright red and then the light faded as Andrew drew back his hand.

"Animal marmot, fire Magum! Congratulations Andrew Drake, you may go sit in the first year division." shouted the teacher and the clapping noise from the school followed Andrew until he finally sat.

Most of the classes got called out. I froze up in place unable to think of a way to slip off, nobody told me that your animal and attribute will be announced publicly like that, I shouldn't be here and shouldn't touch this column that may ruin my life.

Was what the fortune said, I heard it millions of times since I met Monte who was the highest of the elite contract animal, who was also part of the fortune.

"Avis Spero," my name got called and I froze up in place.

Average Magum- wood.

FIRE:
Average Magum- fire.
High Magum- fire and magma.
Elite Magum- fire, magma and the ability to control heat.

AIR:
Average Magum- wind.
High Magum- wind and lightning.
Elite Magum- wind, lightning and sky(the ability to control gravity).

Rare attributes:

Darkness.
Light.
Space.
Time.

An ultimate Magum:

Gets born once in a thousands of years, the one who has control over all sixteen elements.
