-Part 1: The Dream-

'Did you ever consider what it feels like to be the person who has the power to decide between saving and destroying the world?'

'Truthfully, I did not think that I'd be the one to carry this luggage. The responsibility for millions of lives'-

I was only an ordinary girl in an unordinary world, that has got a chance to prove herself once more. It was a new life, as well as a new start.
A world filled with animals living by people's side, and a place where magic is possible, unlike where I originally came from.

I felt the sun warm up every inch of my bare skin, and the calmness was invading my body slowly, but steadily. Through my closed eyes everything seemed to be painted in soft orange and yellow tones and my lips shuddered as I tried to sneak a smile.

I felt myself drift into sleep once more as the warmth kept on flowing through my body, no noise was heard from my surroundings.

There was only me, the sun and the light wind that helplessly tried to cool down my body.

I moved my fingertips as I slid them across the smooth, glassy floor and accepted the light coldness that flowed through it to my fingers and then faded away.

A quiet groan escaped my mouth as I was waking up and I lazily opened my eyes while blinking rapidly due to the sudden light, as I helplessly flinched I lifted up my arm to cover my eyes.

With my free arm I pushed myself off the ground and as I firmly sat I lowered my arm off and adjusted to the blinding light that surrounded me.

A cold smooth floor that stretched to the horizon did not meet an end, but did meet with the blue skies above it. No crack was seen on the glassy white floor, and no cloud was seen above in the clear sky.

I slowly got up and the white silky fabric slid down my bare legs, shuddering as the wind blew harder.

I stood there barefoot on the cold floor, lost and unable to recover any of my memories to answer my call for help.

Who am I? What is this place? And, how did I end up here? All those questions swirled up in my mind like a tornado on a stormy day.

" Noema?" A soft, sweet voice called from behind. I turned back and faced a woman who wore the exact same clothing as me, the only thing that differs us is that her silky white dress had golden patterns embroidered on it.

" Noema, There is no time left. Soon you will have to face the..."

The impact with the floor woke me up suddenly, and was followed by a hysteric laughter.
I lay on the floor with one leg still on the bed. The laughter did not stop and it started to get on my nerves.

"Avis! Sweetheart, are you alright up there?" Mom's voice reached from the first floor.

" YES MOM, I'm fine!" ,I called back as I was still laying on the floor in an awkward position.
Great, a nice way to wake up on your first day to school.

Once again I have this dream, what did she want to warn me about?
"And who do I have to face?" I mumbled as I was about to get up, but was tangled in the blanket.

"You have to face the floor the next time you crush into it, maybe it will fix your brains on the way." Laughed someone in the room once again.

"Monte. Keep your sarcastic comments to yourself, will you?" I said as I finally got up and headed towards the washroom.

I looked up at myself in the small washroom mirror, a messy hair, dark circles under the eyes and a messed up pyjama. Nothing that a brush and a bit of make up can't fix, I thought positively, but still had a bad feeling that something might happen today. "Relax Avis, your gut feeling is not always right," I told myself, and smiled at my reflection in the mirror.

As I stepped into the room I glared at the black cat that was laying lazily on the couch. His name is Monte, he is exactly the one who was hysterically laughing earlier and now looked uninterested in what I was doing.

If I had to shortly explain who is Monte, I would not say that he is a cat, he is only taking a form of a cat, because otherwise we would not fit in this small room together. His original form is a panther.

I prohibited him to turn into a panther in my room after he passed by my table carelessly, and dropped the school project I worked on for a whole month in forth grade. I still can't forgive him for that. And also when he literally ate my homework, and the teacher did not believe me a cat was able to do that. That's right, I could not tell her that he was actually a huge panther.

I let out a small sigh and walked towards the closet. "Hey, Monte. What time is it now?" I asked without bothering to check it myself.

"It's eight thirty five, when is your first class starting? At nine? I think you failed even before school started." Monte sarcastically laughed.

"Don't worry Monte, I have a huge, fast panther that can give me a ride." I said calmly and pulled out a pair of jeans out of the closet.

" Of course, I'm really fast, even for my own kind, the fastest," claimed Monte pridefully, " wait, what? no, you are joking, I'm not gonna let you ride on me!".

"Not for you to decide honey." I winked at the cat and started changing.
