Ferb's P.O.V

"Hey, Ferb!" Vanessa called out as she drove up in her yellow sports car.
"Hey, Vanessa!" I exclaimed, running out of the house.
"Have fun, Ferb!" Candace yelled, waving at us.
"Thanks, guys!" Vanessa said and I climbed into the front seat.

"So where are we going?" Vanessa asked.
"Mind if I treat you out for Ukrainian food?" I said.
"Ooh! Ukrainian food? Fancy! Ok, where to?" Vanessa said.
"It's a little down the road, just take a right at that stop sign." I pointed and she nodded.

She took the turn and looked at me.

"Another right."
"Another one?"
"Don't worry. I know where we're going."
"Ok, Ferb."

I nodded to another right and another until we were in front of my house again.

"Funny, Ferb. What are we doing?" Vanessa asked.

I got out of the car and ran around to her side. I opened her side door and smiled.

"May I?" I asked, holding out my hand.
"What? Ok." Vanessa laughed.

She got out of the car and slipped her arm through mine.

"Lead on, renaissance man." She said.

I took her to the backyard and she laughed.

"I should've known." She said.

Last night, Phineas and the gang worked really fast to build Chez Amore for Vanessa and I's date. It was like the Chez Platypus that we built that one summer, but more...romancy.

"Ferb, this is sweet, but I only dressed in my usual gothic wear." Vanessa pointed out her everyday leather outfit which fit her like a glove.
"Don't worry, Vanessa. I already thought of that."

I clapped my hands and Isabella appeared with a black bag.

"Come on, Vanessa! I got a dress for you!" Isabella smiled and took Vanessa's hand.
"Wait, what? Ferb?" Vanessa looked at me.
"Go on. I picked it. I promise you'll love it." I beamed.

Vanessa smiled at me and then followed Isabella inside.

"You got this all planned out, huh?" Phineas smiled, walking up to me.
"Yea. Oh and uh...thanks for setting this up. I appreciate it." I said.
"Ferb, you don't have to be formal with me!" Phineas laughed
"Go get dressed. Cant have Vanessa being the only one that looks good tonight." Phineas said.

I nodded and walked inside. I went to my room and heard Isabella fixing Vanessa's hair.

"Do you think Ferb will think I'm cute?" Vanessa asked.
"More than that! He'll think you're flat-out hot!" Isabella exclaimed.
"Thirteen year old boys think girls are hot?" Vanessa asked.

I just laughed softly as I went into my room. I looked at the suit that I bought with my allowance. It was neat and pressed and looked great. I really hope she thinks I look good.

A few minutes later, I finished fixing my bow tie just as the door opened.

"Ferb? How do I look?" Vanessa asked.

I turned around and my mouth dropped. Vanessa was...she was...absolutely stunning. The dress I had picked out for her was a black, glittery, spaghetti straps kind of dress. She looked amazing.

"You look...gorgeous." I smiled.
"Thanks, Ferb. You don't look too bad either." She blushed, brushing a piece of hair behind her ear.
"Here. I got you something." I said and grabbed a small box from my side table.
"Oh, Ferb. You didn't have to." Vanessa said.
"But I wanted to."

I opened the box and took out a red amulet necklace encased in gold. Vanessa gasped.

"Oh my gosh, Ferb! It's beautiful!" She exclaimed.
"I'm glad you like it." I smiled and clasped it around her neck.
"Ferb, the dress, the necklace, the speedy restaurant. Our date hasn't even started and it's already so perfect! Thank you, Ferb." She beamed, close to tears.
"Don't cry, Vanessa. I want you to be the most beautiful girl there even though you already are." I smiled and took her hand.
"Ok." She laughed and we went outside.

"Follow me, please! You'll be seated in our V.I.P seatings tonight so enjoy!" Isabella smiled and led us to our table in the middle of the room.

There were rose petals covering the table and Love Handel was right next to our table. I pulled out Vanessa's chair for her and Love Handel started playing "Won't Keep Us Apart".

"Would you like something to drink to start off first?" Isabella asked.
"I'll have what the lady is having." I said.
Vanessa smirked and turned to Isabella. "I'll just have a Sprite, please."
"Two sprites coming right up!" Isabella said and scurried away.

"This is way too cool, Ferb." Vanessa grinned.
"Nothing but the best for you." I said.

"Are they a couple?" Someone asked from a table nearby.
"No way. I know that kid. He's only thirteen while the girl is at least sixteen." Someone answered.

I glanced at them and they looked back to their food. I turned to Vanessa but she didn't look faltered at all. Instead of the insecurity that we'd both shown yesterday, there was a proud smile on her face and touched my hand.

"I don't care anymore as long as I'm with you, Ferb." She whispered.
"Same goes for me, Vanessa." I winked and she giggled.

"Vanessa Ann Doofenshmirtz! I knew I'd find you here!"

We turned to see her dad and mom. Mrs. Doofenshmirtz's arms were crossed and she wasn't looking very happy. On the other hand, Dr. D was twitching to look around but tried to look like a responsible dad.

"Ferbs Danphil Fletcher! What are you doing here?"

My parents walked up behind Vanessa's and they looked at each other.

"Hey, you look familiar." Vanessa's mom said to my step-mom.
"You do, too." My step-mom squinted and then her eyes lit up.
"You were in my cooking class, right?" Vanessa's mom asked.
"Yes! Yes I was! Wow, it's good to see you! Is this your teenage daughter you were talking about?" My step-mom asked.
"Yes! This is Vanessa. I believe you said that you also have a teenage daughter?" Ms. Doofenshmirtz asked.

"Mom! Mom, wait!" Candace screamed, running into the restaurant.

"I'm guessing that's her?" Ms. Doofenshmirtz said.
"Yup. That's my Candace. This is my step-son, Ferb, even I treat him as if he were my own and I have another son, Phineas." My step-mom said.

"Um excuse me. Sorry to break your reminiscing but I'm on a date here, Mom." Vanessa interrupted.
"Oh yes! That reminds me! Vanessa, you can't date a thirteen year old boy!" Vanessa's mom said.
"Same goes for you, Ferbs. You can't date sixteen year old young ladies." My step-mom said.
"But, Mom, I love her." I said.
"And I love him." Vanessa said.

"Honey, look! Isn't this just the cutest thing you've ever seen?" My dad asked.
"Not now, Lawrence." My step-mom hushed him.
"Charlene, look! It's Love Handel! Hey! Hey!" Dr. D waved to the band and they nodded.
"Heinz, really." Ms. Doofenshmirtz rolled her eyes.
"They nodded to me! Ha! Beat that, Roger!" Dr. D cackled.

"Here are your-oh! Hi, Ms. Flynn-Fletcher! How are you?" Isabella said, handing us our drinks.
"I'm good. Isabella, are you working here?" My step-mom asked.
"Just for tonight!" Isabella smiled.
"Hey, Mom!" Phineas said, appearing next to Isabella.

He took her hand and my step-mom and Vanessa's mom gushed.

"Aww! Look, how cute! Ferb, honey, why don't you date a girl your age?" My step-mom asked.
"I'm sure if you gave that Monty boy another chance, you'd look great, together!" Vanessa's mom said.

"Vanessa! Come back to me!" Johnny, Vanessa's ex-boyfriend, shouted, bursting into the restaurant.

Vanessa groaned and looked at me.

"Look, Ferb. This is sweet and all, but do you mind if we...?" Vanessa pointed subtly to the door and I nodded.
"On three." I said.

I held up and three fingers and slowly put two down. When I put the last finger down, we jumped out of our seats and ran out of the restaurant.

"Vanessa!" Her mom shouted.
"Ferb!" My step-mom yelled.
"Excuse me, ladies. I'd like you to meet my friend, the mysterious force." I heard Candace say.

I had to laugh. Candace is convinced that whatever we build, it gets taken away by some mysterious force before our mom can see it. It must've not worked this time but I was still grateful to both of my siblings and my friends. Honestly, I'd still be a mute, closet kid without them.

We kept running even though I didn't know where we were going. Scenery was blowing past us so fast that I didn't even know if we were still in Danville.

Finally, we stopped and I saw we were at the Danville port. Vanessa sat down at the edge and patted the spot next to her. I sat down and she leaned her head on my shoulder.

"Tonight was amazing, Ferb." She sighed, taking my hand.
"Even though we had all those interruptions?" I laughed.
"Especially because of those." She laughed.

I looked over at her and my heart beat faster. It was pounding every second that I stared at her.

"Is there something wrong?" Vanessa asked. "Something in my teeth?"
"No. Nothing's wrong. Everything is just...perfect." I sighed and leaned in.

I'm so glad that it was dark as I kissed the girl of my dreams for the first time.
