It was already late into the night when the couple got home, exhausted from riding day and night to get home in time, and luckily, they arrived just in time. "It's close to her name day, the moon is right over us." Xena stated, looking up at the full moon above them.

"Do you think she'll like her scarf?" Gabrielle asked, clutching the package that held the beautifully crafted silk scarf.

"She will. She had one before, but it was sadly stolen from her." She tells as she puts the horse up in the barn, giving her hay and grain, before checking her water. "You did well Argo." She kisses her horses snout, before leaving.

Her and Gabrielle quietly enter the house, knowing Y/n was asleep already. Gabrielle sets the package down on the table, before following behind Xena, but ladies trying to be the quietest they can as they enter the bedroom.

Their wife is curled up in bed, arms wrapped around one of their pillows, looking smaller than ever. Slowly, they change their clothes, Xena going nude while Gabrielle modestly slips on a nightgown.

Xena gpes for her front, slowly moving the pillow, while Gabrielle crawls behind her, snuggling up to her wife. "Gabby..." Y/n whispered, the voice barely audible for either of them.

"Yes, my love. It's me." Y/n scoots back against her, and then Y/n feels her cheek gets cupped.

"Xena?"

"Yea love. We're home." A small smile comes to their sleepy wife's lips, and smiles come to theirs.

"You two are home early." Gabrielle kisses her neck softly, an arm wrapping around her waist as she pulls her closer.

"We missed you, love. Besides, happy name day! Would you like your present now?"

"No no," Y/n gives a sigh. "M'sleep. Sleepy please." She pleads to her wife, who kissed her cheek before agreeing.

"Sleep doll, we'll be here to protect you." Xena promises before quickly falling asleep.
