Maria had called you earlier in the day, asking you to take care of Monica for either a few hours, or a few days. Of course, you didn't ask question and told her you were on the way. But maybe you should've.

When you got there, you saw Monica standing on the front porch with Carol, who you hadn't seen in over six years, and thought she was dead. You watched as her costume changed colors until both Carol and Monica decided on blue, gold and red colors. "How do I look?" Monica giggled and smiled.

"Good!" Carol smiled and held her hand up, giving Monica a hive-five.

"Monica-" Maria saw you, and both Monica and Carol turned to see what she was staring at. Monica smiled and immediately ran towards yoy, jumping into your arms and hugging you tight. Carol looked like she was in shock, both knowing the last time you saw each other, you woke up to a cold bed and a note that said she would see you later, but neither of you did, and you cried for what felt like hours when Maria told you she was dead.

"Y/n..."

"Monica, come on, lets pack your bag." Y/n set the girl down and give Monica a small smile as she ran inside. Y/n looked anywhere but the girl on the porch.

"Y/n-"

"You left me that morning and I thought I was gonna see you again... but then you died, and you don't know how much that hurt me Carol. But you're here, were you not dead? Was that some ploy that Maria was in on so you wouldn't have to-"

"No! Of course not! Y/n, I honestly don't have time to tell you now, stuff is going on, but when it's over, I'll come see you and then, then we can talk, okay? Just... I love you Y/n, just please know that." She's standing in front of you now, your eyes are filling with tears that need to be shed, but you won't let them.

"That sounds like a goodbye to me..." she gently takes your hand and kisses your palm.

"It's not, I promise. And I promise I will come back for you... I'll do whatever it takes to keep that promise..." you look at her, her face contorted in pain and tears streaming down her face. You slowly nod, a smile coming to her face as she pulls you in for a tight hug.

"You don't know how much I missed you..." she whispers into your ear, causing you to shiver and pull back slightly. You look into her eyes, and the next thing you know, you're kissing her hard, and pulling her as close as possible.

"Um, excuse me..." you pull back, a blush rising to your cheeks, but when you look at who made the voice, your hand tightens around Carol's wrist and you freeze.

"What the fuck..."

"Hey hey, no. He's safe and good. Promise." She gives you a smile, and you relax your hand.

"He looks like her from Star Trek." She giggles, and you want to kiss her again, but before you could lean in, Monica comes out holding up her bag, and running to you.

"You be good for Y/n okay? And protect her for me." Monica salutes her before looking at Y/n, smiling brightly up at her.

"Go get in the car kiddo, I need to talk to Carol real quick." Monica skips away as your eyes return to Carol.

"Promise me you'll come back. I really need to talk to you baby.." you whisper softly. She nods and pulls you in for a tight hug, before kissing you softly.

"If I don't, you can kick my ass." You roll your eyes, but Carol smirks at the smile on your face.

"I love you..." you whisper, and she smiles, pecking your lips quickly, before saying it back. "Maria, make sure she's okay, if not, kick her ass for me." Carol fake gasps, putting her hand over her heart.

"So rude." You smile at her before turning around and walking to her car, and quickly gets inside. Monica waving at them as they drive away, before looking at her third favorite person.

"Why didn't Lizzie come with you?" She ask curiously, but you give the small girl a smile.

"Because I told her I was coming to get you, and she wanted to make a huge pillow and sheet fort for you two to play with." Monica smiles and looks out the window. You quietly let out a sigh, wondering how you were gonna tell Carol you have a five year old daughter. You just hoped she wouldn't leave you again.
