You couldn't help but watch as Veronica and Hermione argued. And you couldn't help but feel guilty. It's already been a year since you told Veronica, you were her other mom and after some screams, tears and a weird and awkward question, she was thrilled. Before getting pissed at her parent's. Hell, she wouldn't call Hiram 'dad' anymore, which you would never admit to anyone, but it made you happy.

"Hiram doesn't deserve you mamí, he's a manipulative person." Veronica says as the two calm down a bit, Hermione sighing, not wanting to argue any further.

"He's gone now baby okay? He's in jail, and he won't be coming home at all. Promise.." she tries to send her daughter a small smile, but it turns into a frown.

"Veronica, dear, we need to go. We still need to go shopping for a few dresses." You remind her softly. She nods and walks to her bedroom, no doubt getting what she needed.

Walking over to Hermione, you gently touch her shoulder and before you could say anything, she's in your arm's crying. You gently kiss her forehead and rub her back, remembering the last time something like this happened, when she told you she was pregnant. "Go relax in a bath, drink some wine and I'll come back with some food, okay?" She nods against your shoulder and pulls back as Veronica walks out. You raise your eyebrow at your daughter, knowing that she saw what happened.
