Ring Of Honor - War Of Words

Another week and another appearance for ROH. Y/N really did feel great in the current life situation he was in. That was no surprise actually and every single day, it got even better. Tonight was a different kind of night for him though, because he would be going on a war of words with the one and only Marty Scurll. Y/N looked at some of Marty's promos to get a feel for what would happen in a little while and he had to admit that Marty was a very clever, talented man. Only time could tell what would happen between them. Both men were young, talented and successful in their own ways and tonight would prove who was smarter. Of course Y/N also got to know Mark, Vicky and Tracy a lot better which was a welcome change to the usual events going on. They were a team now, so learning from each other was essential to the chemistry between all four.

Soon enough though, it was time to face the One True Villain. Marty stood in front of the door that was about to lead him to Y/N. He wanted nothing more than to prove why not joining him was a big mistake. Flip, Brody and PCO left this situation alone for the time being as Marty opened the door and walked in, taking a good look at everything. The room was lit by two lamps, one on each side of the table that was in the middle of the room. Two chairs were set up across from each other, but there was no sign of Y/N yet. As Marty stepped in, he asked himself what kind of game this was supposed to be. He came here for serious business and not for a show like this.

Marty:" Where are you, Y/N? This is no way to treat your guests!"

The answer came in form of a slow clap as heavy footsteps echoed around the room with the man in question soon revealed by the light.

Y/N:" Excuse me, but I don't think you qualify to make rules in my domain, Marty."

Marty:" And what are you going to do about it?"

Y/N:" You came here for a talk and that's exactly what we will do. So take a seat."

Marty was aware of the calculated choice of words from Y/N. This wasn't done for fun, this was about psychological warfare. He watched Y/N with every move before sitting down at the table.

Marty:" I have quite a few questions for you, Y/N."

Y/N:" And I have answers, Marty. But I can already tell you that not all of them will be to your liking."

Marty:" Then let me start simple: who are you as a member of ROH?"

Y/N:" I'm a wrestler, a sports entertainer who puts his life on the line every week, just like you."

Marty:" And what do you think makes you special?"

Y/N:" I have yet to figure that out myself. When I joined ROH, all I wanted to do is wrestle and show the world that not everything is impossible."

Marty:" Impossible is such a strong word though. I prefer to say thing are hard to achieve. Now, after the last two weeks, you had a few interactions with Villain Enterprises."

Y/N:" I did, that's true."

Marty looked at Y/N with a mix of confusion and anticipation. Something didn't feel right about that situation, Y/N was too calm. He seemed like he wasn't shaken by anything.

Marty:" Let me ask you this: What is it that you hope to achieve?"

Y/N:" Me? I'm merely one of many. A face in the crowd. One of the embers that will soon start the inferno. Marty, you have to understand: we humans are selfish, greedy creatures deep down inside. The primal urge to kill, to become the best has always been with us. I am no different, you are no different either."

Marty:" What are you talking about?"

Y/N:" I am talking about your inability to see what truly is going on around us."

Suddenly the room was flooded with light, revealing a circle of mirrors around Y/N and Marty.

Y/N:" No matter where we look, we can't escape our true self. We become what we hate, Marty. It's an unstoppable process."

Marty:" I don't have to sit here and be lectured by you."

Y/N:" And what would you like to do then?"

Marty:" I want you to lay out your cards."

Y/N:" So you want to play a game?"

Y/N began to smirk as he pulled out the deck of cards he had and put them on the table, one after the other with the back facing upwards. He couldn't have Marty see what might await him.

Y/N:" I knew someone would soon join me for a game and to be here with you, Marty Scurll, makes this more exciting!"

Marty:" Quit your fake happiness. Just tell me what I have to do and we can move on."

Y/N:" Very well. It's pretty easy: You pick a card and I tell you what it means for you and the rest of Villain Enterprises. I excluded Jokers, there's only one Queen, one king and one ace in this field, so choose wisely."

Marty looked at all the cards that were now on the table, thinking carefully about his next move. This was unfamiliar turf to him and a lot of others as Y/N just sat back and watched. The uncertainty of the situation amused the young man very much. He aimed to wreck Marty's mind and by the looks of it, that worked. Soon though, Marty picked a card and took it off the table.

Marty:" I made my choice."

Y/N:" Alright then, be so kind and reveal it to me."

Marty didn't have to be told twice, so he turned his hand a revealed the card he picked.

This made Y/N burst out laughing as he knew exactly what that card meant while it left Marty confused. He became very annoyed.

Marty:" I've had enough of your antics now, Y/N. Tell me what this card means now!"

Y/N:" You're an unfortunate son of a bitch, Marty. Isn't it clear? You chose the ace, so you are my primary target!"

Marty:" You're kidding me. You want to fight me?"

Y/N:" I don't want a fight. I want something more advanced than that. I want warfare, I want everyone in Villain Enterprises to bring their top game and I want everyone to understand that this is a battle you just can't win."

Before Marty could muster up an answer, Y/N got up, walked around to him and pulled him up by his jacket, staring into his eyes with violent intend.

Y/N:" You listen to me now, Marty. When your little team got involved in my match, you sealed your fate right there. I won't judge you for that, but I will make you pay, starting now."

Y/N performed a vicious knee strike to Marty's mid section before grabbing him again and throwing him through the mirrors, breaking several of them.  The younger of the two was giving the villain a taste of what was to come in the near future. An Irish Whip against the wall followed, making the situation worse for Marty who was trying to get away. He finally understood that Y/N was a lot more dangerous than he expected, but the onslaught didn't stop there. Y/N appeared in front of Marty again, resting a boot on the back of his neck and leaning down.

Y/N:' I'll say it this time only: You started this war, but I will finish it. I will take you down, I will break you and I will erase your legacy from existance, Marty! Do you understand? Do you finally get what I'm saying?!"

A few seconds later, several referees and security men ran into the room to seperate both men from each other. Marty did his best to get up and walk away while Y/N was laughing to himself, visibly gone mad there. It was probably clear now that this feud was beyond comprehension. Lifeblood vs Villain Enterprises would definitly spice up the next PPV.
---------------------------------------------------------

A few hours after the show, it was in the middle of the night when Y/N's phone was ringing, waking him from his sleep, so being as groggy as he was, he reached over to his nightstand and accepted the call without looking at the number.

Y/N:" It's 4 in the morning, so whoever you are, you better have a good reason to call."

A female voice rang out just a second later, but it didn't sound very familiar to Y/N.

???:" That's not the man I got to know a few years ago."

Y/N:" You...I thought you would finally leave me alone."

???:" Awww, I thought you missed me. Don't you remember the good times we had?"

Y/N:" Fortunately for me, I don't remember. But I remember everything else."

???:" Then you know why I'm calling right now."

Y/N:" You gotta be fucking kidding me..."

???:" Watch your words, Y/N. I don't appreciate profanities, as you know."

Y/N:" I couldn't give less of a damn about how you think of me. We were done back then and we still are."

???:" Aren't you over your grudge yet?"

Y/N:" Grudge? I despise you and you know that! I've despised you ever since you faked a pregnancy to get me to pay child support. You also cost me my first job and you broke into my appartment in the middle of the night."

???:" You're mean, Y/N. This isn't over between u---"

Y/N had enough and just ended the call, making sure to block this number. It dawned on him after a few seconds of the conversation. This young woman was someone he met shortly after graduating highschool and because of her, the early years of his adult life were terrible. He didn't wanna know how she got his number again, but it was creeping him out enough to keep him awake for a while.

Y/N:" Hell has no fury like a woman's wrath."
